Name: Aisling Grady
Gender: Female
Age: 17, going on 18 (Her birthday’s Decmber 18th)
Physical description: Aisling is relatively pale, with bright green eyes and exceptionally long black hair. In fact, it’s so long that it nearly drags on the ground even when pulled up. She dresses mainly in plain, worn, dark clothing simply because she can’t afford anything that’s nicer, and often has a big black walking stick with her to help her move around, unless for some reason she’s been forced into using her much-hated wheelchair.
History/Backstory: Aisling was a typical child of Farstep Carnival, and knew from a very early age exactly what she wanted to do with her life – become a trick rider and work with the horses. She spent all of her childhood and a good portion of her teens devoted to learning what it took to achieve that job, and was on her way to becoming a very successful trick rider when an accident occurred. Something spooked the horses she was riding, and in the ensuing chaos, one of them reared over on her, severely damaging her legs to the point that merely walking is now difficult and painful for her.

This accident and being stripped of the ability to perform the only job she’d ever dreamed of shattered Aisling, even more so when the man she was engaged to went and married another girl while she was still recovering from her injuries. As a result of these and other complications in her life, Aisling is a very bitter, somewhat morbid young woman, who is only carrying on in her life due to the fact that her little sister needs her.
Other important notes, quirks? Despite her injuries and the difficulty she has with everyday taks as a result of them, Aisling is too prideful to accept help from anyone except, under special circumstances, Riley, and the Essentic given to her by the strange antennae-d girl, Rhian Grady.

Name: Riley Grady
Gender: Female
Age: 4 (4 and a HALF she’ll say, though) Her birthday is August 1st.
Physical description: Riley looks almost like a miniature copy of her older sister, though her hair is understandably shorter, only reaching to her shoulders. She’s a bit darker in skin-tone than her sister, thanks to a great deal of playing outside in the sunshine when possible. She’s usually seen wearing a pair of pink overalls with a kitty on the bib, a white t-shirt, and a big white bow in her hair.
History/Backstory: Riley lived with her and Aisling’s parents up until a short time ago, when their father, and shortly thereafter, their mother, was arrested on charges of robbery. The little girl is mercifully ignorant of her parents’ actual situation, knowing only that they’re gone to a place with ‘bars on the doors’ and that she’s staying with her older sister until they come home.
Other important notes, quirks? Riley’s favorite things are her blue teddy bear, Puff-Puff, the little orange kitten Dilly, and rock collecting. Naturally, she thinks that Sparks are the prettiest rocks ever, and ever since Aisling received hers, she secretly hopes that one of her rocks might actually be a Spark in disguise, and will talk to them accordingly.
