Username: Demon Eyes Zero
Name: Lucien F. Inograce

Age you appear to be: 21
Actual age: 435
Personality: I'm laid back happy and cheerful, though that is only a mask. I truly thinks little of others, to wrapped up in my own grief.
Past: Lucien was a knight who heavily practiced magic. He became obsessed with figuring out all of its secrets and stumbled further and further into the dark arts. This action came to a height when he destroyed an entire village. He was cursed for doing so.
Likes: Reading, drawing, magic and music
Dislikes: Himself, being called a monster
Hobbies: Reading books about magic to find a spell that will break the curse
Anything else?: Lucien truly hates himself for destroying the town. The only thing keeping him going is the thought that he may one day be able to break the curse through his studies.
Cursed to be: Dragon
Theme song: Sacrifice-Yuki Kajiura

Gaia username: bakerboo
Name: Jaclyn Elizabeth Crandall
Nickname: Jaclyn, Jackie, JC
Age: 22
Personality: Jaclyn is usually a very cheerful and upbeat young woman. She's gone through some hardships but she has kept a strong face and pushed forward. She is not very open with her negative feelings (ie sadness, anger, etc), but sometimes they still escape despite her efforts to keep them back. She is determined, especially in the face of opposition. She does not believe in limitations - nothing (within reason, of course) is impossible.
Past: Jaclyn was not born blind. In fact, she was a very healthy child from the start. Since she had been homeschooled by her parents, she didn't have many friends, but this didn't seem to bother her. Without any siblings to be playmates, she often created her own imaginary friends to keep her company. While she loved both her parents, she was always her father's little princess and he called her his little jade princess because of her green eyes. Life was full of bliss until a car accident killed her parents and left her blind when she was 15. She was sent to live with her only living relatives who lived rather far away. They "took her in out of the goodness of their hearts" – at least that's what everyone said. However, they did little to help her and let their 3 cruel children torment her. They thought it would toughen her up since she had always been such a "sensitive child." Jaclyn remained strong despite their persistent neglect and torture. They put her in public school, which she would have liked if it weren't for her adopted family's stirring up drama at school as well as at home. A glimmer of hope made life bearable though; thanks to some help from a teacher she joined a program to help her become more acclimated to her new disability. It was through this program that she received Onyx, her seeing eye dog. He has been her only companion since the death of her parents. The very same teacher who helped her get into the program also helped her get out on her own when she turned 18. She made it into a good college and excelled there. Sometimes, people who know her forget she's even blind because she doesn't act like it. Now she’s living on her own and happier than ever.
Likes: Apples, caramel, laughing, reading/hearing stories
Dislikes: Being teased, being pitied, feeling helpless, being told what to do (or what she can/cannot do)
Hobbies: Playing the piano, listening to music, occasionally making pottery
Anything else?: She never goes anywhere without her loyal dog Onyx, a fitting name for this black lab.
Theme song: A Place in This World – Taylor Swift

Lucien sat in his study, reading the fourth? No...fith book today. He cursed under his breath flinging the book from his site. "Oh where is it! " He sat back in his chair again with a sigh. A posses suit of armor walked up to him leaning down with a tray of tea which was quickly swatted away. "I do not need tea i need that book. It must be here somewhere i know it is. They just hid it from me..." Lucien stood quickly and stormed from his study. His fake grin, scarring all the servants who had been trapped in his service. "...just need...to clear my head... and bring me my tea" His voice was happy and soft, though all his 'servants' knew the tone as a command, one that had to be followed unless they wished to be punished.

Jaclyn pushed back the tears that burned in her eyes. "Onyx?" she called, struggling to find her way over the rough terrain. These woods were unfamiliar too her. She could hear her cousins laughing somewhere ahead of her and Onyx barked nearby. She couldn't understand why they had to torment her. "Let him go!" she demanded. She had put up with their torture for too many years. Just when she had finally escaped her guardians, they had somehow found a way back into her life. They taunted her from a safe distance, keeping Onyx away from her.

When the cousins saw the ominous castle, they were taken off guard. "Let's get out of here," one said. They couldn't leave without one last insult to Jaclyn. After arguing about who should do it, one of them finally tied Onyx's leash to the door handle. They took off running, leaving Jaclyn alone. She felt her way toward Onyx, calling him every so often so he would bark. Finally, she reached her companion and her hand reached up the leash. She let out a gasp when she found it was tied to a door handle. "Where are we?" she wondered out loud. "Hello?" she called, hesitantly knocking on the door.

Lucien froze just as one of the living armors was bringing him his tea. "A voice? Could that really have been? Hmm i havnt had company in quite some time." He gently took the tea from the servant and sipped the hot liquid. "Well what are you waiting for, go let our guest in. Perhaps she can help us." He shooed away the servant, watching it stumble over itself.

After the servent had left his site he made his way toward one of the balconys which overlooked the front entrance way. Lucien watched patiently as two armors fiddled with a set of keys till one finally came out victories and unlocked the door. "Might i Help you young lass?" The armor spoke in a surprisngly human tone despite being just an empty shell.

Jaclyn jumped back a little as the door opened and someone spoke. She hadn't expected to find anyone out in the middle of the woods, let alone some sort of home. Fortunately, her blind eyes could not see the suit of armor; had she seen it, she probably would have run in fear. She recovered quickly from her surprise and tried to smile. "I hope so," she replied hopefully, "I seem to have lost my way in the woods and I'm not sure how to get home."

"Ah i see young one, well come in come in. Our master is a most graciouse host" The servant spoke knowing that Lucien was still watching the entire scene. The metal servant turned toward a pile of clothing, seemingly forgotten in the corner. Slowly the pile of armor fell to the floor as the pile of clothes stood up, complete with gloves and a mascerade mask for a face. "If you will follow me miss. I shall take you to see the master." The clothed phantom took her hand in his glove, feeling every bit as normal as any other gloved hand and began to lead her farther into the castle.

Lucien tilted his head slightly, he had expected the woman to run in fear at the very site of an empty armor but she didnt seem to mind at all. "Hmm or perhaps didnt see...ah yes now i see." The knight leaned against a pillar smiling dreamily. He pulled a pair of glasses from his pocket and looked them over for a moment, before laughing to himself. "Seems we have the same problem though you are quite a bit ahead..." He turned to an armor standing at attention near the door. "Prepare her a room, i wish to know more about this girl and how she found my castle." The armor bowed and left to complete its task

Jaclyn jumped at the sound of metal hitting the floor. She couldn't tell what had been the cause but the servant didn't seem bothered. Perhaps he was carrying something and dropped it, she reassured herself. Onyx seemed hesitant to enter and tried to pull Jaclyn away from the door. "Come, Onyx," she said firmly but gently. He obeyed his mistress and walked beside her, guiding her as always. "Thank you," she smiled at the servant, completely unaware of his strange appearance. She accepted his hand and followed him inside. No thoughts of danger crossed her mind.

The clothed servant turned his mask back to look at Jaclyn. "Might i ask your name young mistress? It will be much easier to introduce you to the master that way." The light clanking sound of other armored servants could be heard moving around everyonce in a while though the clothed one took no notice.

Lucien sat patiently at the head of a large dinning table. A seat was allready prepared for Jaclyn along with two other clothed servants though both of these wearing waiter outfits. Lucien continuied to ponder over how the apparently blind girl had happened upon his castle. "Perhaps she is a descendent of that wich...yes, maybe come to finally release me of this curse...hmmm or maybe a fellow sorcerrus...though how odd the clothes have become for such a profession, and she should have had escorts..." The knight continuied to mumble now almost completely lost in thought.

"It's Jaclyn," the green-eyed girl smiled, "Jaclyn Crandall." She kept one hand lightly resting in the servant's gloved hand and the other gripped Onyx's harness tightly. The black lab walked beside her obediently. He growled low at the strange suits of armor walking around until Jaclyn whispered some command. It was easy to see that he felt threatened.

Jaclyn, too, felt uneasy and she tried to calm her racing heart as they walked through the hallways with the servant. Strange sounds filled her ears and she couldn't figure out what they were. She turned her attention the man she was about to meet. "Who exactly is your master?" she asked hesitantly. She deduced from his speech that he worked for some sort of wealthy man, perhaps with a royal title. She didn't think there were any royalty in her town but she hadn't lived there long.

The cloth servant nodded leading her to a large door before stopping abruptly. "Well Ms. Crandall the master is the owner of this castle and most of the forest which surrounds it. His name is Sir Lucien F. Inograce and you shall adress him as Master Inograce unless otherwise told." The voice of the servent was quite old, though still carried a firmness. Without another word the sounds of the large door creaking open could be heard as well as the new sounds of the knight still mumbling to himself.

Lucien only looked up after the cloth servant cleared his throat. He smiled grandly and stood to welcome his guest. "Ah yes come in come in, please take a seat, and have something to eat and drink why dont you. We can talk once you are satisfied. There is also something for your friend there as well" Next to the table a servent was just lying down a plate of meats for Onyx.

Before Jaclyn could ask or say anything else, she heard the sound of a large door opening and someone talking to himself. She soon discovered that it was her gracious host. Onyx growled a little but stopped when Jaclyn whispered some command to him. She knew he was nervous in this new environment and she couldn't blame him. She felt incredibly overwhelmed by it all so why shouldn't Onyx?

"Thank you," Jaclyn finally managed to say, recovering herself a bit. She took a hesitant step into the room but didn't know the layout at all. Her face had turned toward Lucien as he spoke but she imagined the room was very large and there were probably many seats at the table. She didn't know which she should choose. "If you could be so kind," she asked quietly, "to direct me to my seat?" Onyx saw the plate being set for him and his tail wagged a bit but his duty to Jaclyn came first.

"Oh yes yes, i appoligize" Lucien motioned to the cloth servant who gently took Jaclyn's hand and led her forwards. When they reached the prepaired seat he let go, to pull her chair out for her. "You may sit milady"

Lucien watched it all with the same dreamy smile he had first seen her with. Any visitor was quite interesting, well at least as long as they were usefull. "Yes...she must be able to help me..." He looked toward the dog, giving him the same smile. "Perhaps a servant of hers...no just a dog...hmm perhaps i should make a dog servant next... hmm" He began to toy with the idea in his head, spacing out again.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 04, 2009 10:01 pm

Jaclyn sat down slowly, her hands reaching out for the sides of the chair to guide herself into it. She held herself well, as if she came from good breeding. It was partly true; her parents had raised her well and taught her good manners but she also felt the need to be prim and proper around a man with a title. She didn't know the proper etiquette for the occasion but she was at least trying to act like a lady should.

Jaclyn smiled slightly in Lucien's direction but her eyes never focused on him. Should I say something? she asked herself, wondering if it would be rude to speak. Would it be rude not to? she wondered immediately after. She hid her anxiety and continued to smile. Onyx did not seem as pleased with Lucien, however. He growled low as he sat down by his mistress. "Para," she whispered to him. He stopped growling and put his head on her leg. "Acuéstate," she said gently and he laid at her feet obediently. She turned her attention to Lucien once more. "Thank you for your hospitality," she said sincerely and quietly, afraid of reprimand for speaking out of turn, "and I apologize for Onyx. He is just nervous because this is an unfamiliar environment."

((Para - stop; Acuéstate - lie down))

The armored servant holding Onyx's food moved forward and set it before him. Then returned to its place near the door. When not being given orders it seemed that only a few of the armors remained moving or clanking around. "Oh it is my pleasure Ms. Jaclyn. It has been ages since i've had a visitor so please make yourself at home." Lucien's smile never ceased though it seemed to be only for the dog and to put a happier feel in the air. "And please do not appologize, he was only watching over his master." Lucien could feel her slight anxiety and laughed softly "If it is easier please just call me Lucien. Being called sir or lord all the time does get rather old...Now lets not let this food go to waste eh?" Before them sat a rather elegantly prepared salad with a steak, breads, and fine wine.
