It hadn't been long since Van was brought back to the home he knew, He was still shaken up about being stolen away from his mothers and Izzy and a collar strapped around his neck, But he was on a mission. He needed a TV, He wanted to badly to watch something like he had when he was in the home. His tail twitched behind him as he stalked threw the city, He knew that he stuck out like a sore thumb against all the other cats that were here, He was well very different. He swallowed dryly finally stopping his walking, He was in a park. There were cats all around him. He sighed and looked around, There had to be someone here who knew where to find a Tv. He itched against his purple and yellow collar as he let his blue eyes scan over the park before him. There were plenty of others here, Who would he go talk to... He just kept scanning over the area trying to figure out who would be best.

A rather dirty, homeless looking male sat quietly upon a branch that over looked the park. It was the perfect view, catching every corner of the place. He peered threw his dirty brown locks of hair that hung right before his eyes. His name was Achilles and he was known as a very kind gentleman. He did have some strangeness about him though. He would prefer to listen, not talk. He was very soft spoken, and unusually shy. This fifteen year old boy had another oddity about him. He was fascinated with dreams. Not meaning that he sleeps all the time, but he sure does like to keep a journal and jot down what he happens to see in his mind while he slumbers.

Anyway, the young boy jumped down from the thick branch and fell in a skillful fashion. He was used to jumping from this height because this was his favorite branch to linger upon. His grey-ish blue eyes scanned the terrain and discovered that there was a very different kitten wandering around by himself. He seemed to be on a search, too. Achilles watched him carefully from afar, wondering to himself what the other was seeking.

Maria, still in search of her old "owner" found herself at the local park. The park, being rather large in size was an intimidating area to her. Her hopes were constantly dashed everytime she turned a corner until finally, Maria decided to turn her search into a simple stroll around the park. It was stressful trying to look for the nomad and Maria didn't want to put up with it.

Soon, she came across two cats that didn't seem to be spazzing across the the clearing or bumbling about on the playscapes menat for human children. One, a younger looking around and the other doing the same. Were these two waiting for each other? Something else? Maybe they were simply looking for each other. With a half sigh, she gracefully bounded towards them. "Pardon? Are you lost or somesuch?" she inquired to the younger, Achilles.

As a dancer, Maria had a lovely spring in her step when it came to covering distances and today was no exception. It wasn't the fact that she had talent to flaunt that inclined her to move this way, it became a way of movement that permanently erased any other way of doing so. While most other cats would use the whole of their paws to walk, Maria used only the tips, mimicking a ballet pointe. This quirk created the illusion of Maria being able to float effortlessly.

Van had let his eyes fall on the tortie female, Still being far enough away her that he could Van mumbled "Oh baby." He wasn't sure why he had come here in the first place, He walked slowly over towards the female, Trying to walk grecefully like she had, but his size made him stomp. He hated his size for only that, He couldn't ever silently pad up to anyone he had to stomp. Bowing as he reached the female the mixed breed striped cat smiled towards Maria, " I'm not lost m'lady... I was looking for something. Are you?" He asked, He knew that he had been evesdropping but he didn't really care he wanted to speak with the female.

He turned his head up to Achilles and smiled at him, " You lost dude?" He asked the other male flicking his tail, " I know this place like the back of my paw." He said holding up his front right paw, " I can help you guys get wehre ever you need." He smiled again looking at the female hoping the he would be impressing her. Setting his paw down he turned his ocean blue eyes back up to the dirty looking male, Thanking god that he had just gotten a bath from izzy, His coat was prestine.

It was a pleasant surprise when Achilles' ears caught the sound of a very lovely voice. He turned his head and narrowed his sight on her, a gorgeous Tortie. Probably one of the most stunning girls he had ever had the pleasure to lay eyes on. Slowly the young boy thought about his answer, not wanting to come off as rude or uninterested. While the boy thought up his answer another stranger seemed to find his way over to him. He was like a magnet today. Very unusual for this boy.

The young Tonkinese listened to the boy who seemingly interrupted but didn't think badly of it. In fact, it had saved him from probably saying something stupid. Why did everybody think he was lost though? Did he come off as the sort of kid to be unsure of where he was looking for? Perhaps. "I'm not lost. I uh, I was just looking around." He didn't want to openly say he was watching Van, because that would have been strange. It did seem to hurt his pride a little bit when he realized how much of a stud Van was and how impish Achilles appeared while next to him.

"Ah, right. No, I'm not lost, really. I just made an improper assumption that since you two seemed to be looking around, you may have been looking for each other. If that's not the case, what are you all looking for?" Maria inquired before explaining. Very blunt in expressing how she felt through movement, Maria pranced a figure eight around the two males in a frolicsome felicity.

Underneath the temperate composure of Maria's reply, Maria was blushing like a small schoolgirl. For a Tortie of her appearance, she probably should have been accustomed to proper treatment, but in the way Van used formalities Maria was pleasantly surprised.

Van smiled as he watched the girl move around him then to the other male, " I was looking for a television..." he trailed off feeling like his answer made him seem stupid. " You see." He mumbled trying to make himself sound smarter, " When I was taken from here... the man who had me watched sports and I was just wanting to check up on the teams I had grown fond of." That answer seemed to please the male.

He couldn't help but smile as he looked over the female again. " You move beatuifully." He told her his smile growing. He flicked his tail behind him and looked over at Achilles, " My name is Van." He said introducing himself to both the others. " It would be a pleasure to know both of your names." He said smiling at the light eyed male. Achilles was a good looking male but he was grungy, Van knew that his pristine coat made him look far better than the other, so he felt no threat for competition.

The teenage boy ruffled his own hair, getting a certain itch on his scalp. "Uh, Achilles." He wasn't a boy who was good with words but he had a heart of gold and good intentions. Surely, that could mean something to the girl. He didn't want to hold his hopes up to high, though. Van looked far more deserving of her than he did. Sports, that was something the youthful Tonkinese surely didn't favor. It was very competitive and that wasn't his strong point. Achilles did indeed take notice of how Maria moved and couldn't help but admire her grace, though. "You really do," the brunette boy followed up with soft input. He was sort of embarrassed from that small amount of effort so he pulled his ears back and remained silent.

"My name is Maria; thank you you two." she introduced with a flourish of her fluffy tail. "Achilles. Van." she softly added to herself. A good memory technique for her, repeating names was useful when meeting multiple cats.

Having not been able to acquire a home in which televisions were important, Maria hadn't a clue where one would be, especially in a park setting. She scarcely knew what one was aside from a box that made light and noise. From Van's explanation, Maria deciphered that it had something do to with a popular sport humans viewed. A conessuir of arts herself, Maria was not much a sport-type. The closest to working out she reached was running or even stretching. Dancing of course, wore her out on occasion, but she was blessed with bone structure dainty enough to withstand complicated movement variations.

Taking notice of Achilles slight discomfort, Maria tilted her head and beamed a gentle smile to him. She then turned to Van and spoke: "I've nothing to do aside from walk around aimlessly. Perhaps Achilles and I could assist you in your search?"

Van smiled he'd have someone to help him in
his search for a television," you guys really would?" he let a huge wide smile cross his face not only would he find a television to watch sports but he'd have two friends now he really wanted some friends people he could talk to and hang out with, he really only had his brother fox.

At the sight of Maria's gentle smile and the sound of Van's outgoing tone of voice Achilles really couldn't stay timid and hesitant for much longer. His shell was starting to crack and he embedded his words into the conversation a little bit more than he usually would, "Sure. It wouldn't be right to just leave you to finding it all by yourself." Sure, he knew he was loosing his chance with the fabulous dancer the more that the spotlight shined on Van but it's not like Achilles was really the competing time. He couldn't really stand competition, actually. He was more of the type to say 'why can't we just all get along'. It was apparent that Achilles was starting to warm up a little more because his ears weren't pulled so flat against his skull, and his tail hung more loosely instead of being wrapped around him tightly like it was before.
