Aludra was surprised that he was actually going to the Facility, once again, of his own volition. With an appointment, no less. Finally he was bothering to see someone about the dreadful cough that he'd been having problems with that, only about a week prior, had put him in the hospital. But that made sense. He figured that there were a decent amount of people who, if they were coughing up blood that was nearly black, would start choking on it after a period of time.
Given he'd grown, his old clothes no longer fit. He'd before prepared for his growth, but for whatever reason, probably a laundry mix-up, Noah had wound up with all of the sweaters he'd bought himself. As such, he was left with a leather jacket and a pair of blue jeans that were worn with an awkwardly cut hole in the back for his tail. Since he'd been a toddler, he lost his initial decency at sewing, though he didn't know exactly where he'd forgotten that along the road. Probably just drifted off at some point. At least Lira could still sew. And Nouă.
'But that's not really important right now,' Aludra told himself, scolding himself for the wandering thoughts just a bit. He approached the gate and then paused, realizing that it was locked and busying himself with trying to find a bell or a speaker or some other device that he could use to get someone's attention.

Aden was sitting out on the front steps, having slipped out between jobs he'd been assigned, and was currently slouching and smoking. It was one of those bad habits that a doctor should really know better about but when it came down to it what was smoking when one compared to some of the stuff that went on inside of this place? One couldn't say that indulging in cigarettes was on the same level of 'bad' as messing with science and religion all in one fell swoop, right?
He flicked aside the nearly finished butt of his current cigarette and was in the process of lighting up a second one when he saw someone approaching the gate. He blinked then pushed to his feet, walking over toward it as he took a drag. This was odd, nothing was planned as far as parent meetings today he thought to himself, looking back and forth and didn't see anyone else about that might be there to help the visitor. Oh well, luckily for those involved he had his keys on him, "Can I help you?"
The doctor found himself starring at the one on the other side of the iron gate for a long moment, didn't he look familiar from somewhere? The eyes, the patchy coloration of the skin, the tail, "Aludra?" He murmured, well now that was something. He'd never seen a child before and after one of the 'growth spurts' that he'd heard so much about. Interesting.

Aludra perked up when he heard the comment, tail flicking back and forth gently. "Ah, yes. He's- I'm here for a doctor's appointment," Aludra replied. His voice was a decent amount deeper, more befitting to his appearance, but it was definitely still him. He was trying to keep from the third-person, and rarely made mistakes on it. It seemed that after he'd grown, the craving to refer to himself in the third person had just faded, much like his ability to sew.
He have the doctor a light smile when he was recognized. "And you're Aden. Good job," he said teasingly, the wings on his ankles fluttering gently, despite the bony, crooked, crushed-looking one having a bad time of expressing itself. It was still excited to be out in the open air once again rather than being under wraps as it had been for almost all of Aludra's preteen stage. Then again, he also hid his scars with makeup back then. He... was a little different by this point.
"Mind opening the gate?" he asked with a convincing smile, tail swishing back and forth behind him. "Please?"

"Are you?" He murmured, well now that was kind of strange wasn't it? One would think he'd of been informed... then again given how often he felt out of the loop he supposed it wasn't so surprising. He really should see about getting himself a secretary as well as a nurse he thought as he got out his keeps to unlock the gate for Aludra to come through.
"Yes, last time I checked I was Aden, but unlike you and yours I am not going to have any spontaneous changes unless I stop shaving for a while." He told the spawn as he let him come inside through the gate. Once Aludra was inside he closed the gate and locked it back into place so as not to risk scolding for leaving it open.

"I am. I contacted someone a few days back," the greed spawn replied, thanking the man simply when the gate was opened for him. The tip of his tail flicked back and forth near the ground. Well, Aden was a doctor, right? Didn't that mean that he would be helping him, or would it miraculously be someone else? Regardless, he figured that the male was going to be of some use on his current medical situation, so perhaps it wouldn't be completely useless to tell Aden what was going on.
"I've been coughing up blood lately. Regularly. But not normal blood, it's... nearly black," Aludra stated with a nod of his head, feeling odd that he was telling the man this despite the fact that he was likely going to help. Then again, it had taken a lot out of him to put himself onto any level of importance, his health particularly, and crawl out of his room and away from his chess strategies to ask about what was wrong with him. He laughed a bit at the comment about his growth. "Lucky man. Wish it worked that way for our lot."

"Hrm, it must have been lost somewhere in translation." He murmured, or perhaps lost somewhere on his mess of a desk. It was always possible. He paused with his hand half way to his lips as Aludra spoke and he starred at him, the manner in which he spoke it made it sound quite... simple. He lowered his hand to drop his cigarette to the ground, stomping it out before he stepped closer to the other, leaning in to look into his eyes then nodded.
"Come on then, we should get you to the hospital wing so I can look you over." He said, seeming to drift into his Doctor mode as he moved to herd the boy in the right direction since it was easily possible he had no idea where that section of the Labs was located.

Aludra nodded. Probably it had just been left somewhere, that would certainly make sense, especially with how hectic that place constantly was. "A-alright," Aludra stammered hesitantly. He wasn't really excited to be going back to another hospital area, but he didn't have a lot of choice. He'd gotten this far and it would be letting himself down and then some to not do this. Not to mention the fact that he wouldn't know what was going on inside himself if he had to leave.
Aludra followed the doctor through the Facility awkwardly. The halo that he'd spoken about at the parent meeting was with him, but it was tied to a ribbon that was around his neck, under his zipped-up leather jacket, where it would be... well, more safe at the very least. He wasn't going to let anyone touch it if it cost him his life; because, yes, he was that dedicated to his stuff. Not too crazy, given the combination he'd been so kindly 'blessed' with. He pressed the tips of his fingers to one edge of it, grateful that it was once again in his possession rather than Lirona's. After all, that was where it rightfully belonged.

Aden made his way to the hospital wing at a quick pace and then motioned for Aludra to go through the door. Inside were a few cots for patients though they were at the moment empty, no incidents of late though on occasion Almas could be found here napping. The fallen wasn't the sort of ask for anything from Aden though the doctor had learned that he liked to be around others. His visits were a fewer of late since his kid had come home.
"If you want to go and sit down there." He said, motioning to one of the cots as he went to the sink and set to washing his hands clean so that he didn't smell of tobacco as he worked on Aludra, unsure if he like that scent or not. Given he was rather young he doubted it was something he would be used to dealing with, well unless his parents smoked. He shrugged as he grabbed the edge of a rolling cart with one hand and gave his rolling chair a nudge with his foot to put then near to the cot. After that he went to fetch a chart and pen before returning to sit down.

Aludra entered as he was instructed to do so, now extremely uncomfortable given he was in a combination of the Facility and a hospital, his two least favourite places in the world. Well, least favourite places that he knew about. The red of his irises had bled into the bright green, staining it a strange purplish colour where it wasn't saturated enough to appear otherwise. It was one of few reflexes that he was unable to subdue, yet despite that the gentle coughing had started up again with how tense he was being around this area at all and it wasn't long before he felt himself swallowing that horribly metallic flavour. Not that the fit didn't pass shortly, but it was still... bothersome. Probably the main reason he wanted to get rid of it.
Tri-coloured eyes followed the tech's movements, as though his trust of the other had waned now that Aden was, in a way, in control of the situation that they were in. After all, he was a doctor; there was little that Aludra could object to doing and it was in his best interest to follow the doctor's orders. For some reason that made him feel extremely uncomfortable about the situation. Once again, it wasn't like he wasn't like that already. Taking a seat on one of the cots, he crossed his legs and leaned back on his hands. "So... where should we start?"

Aden was writing down some information on the chart in his quick hand writing before he paused to look up at Aludra as he slouched back on the bed and asked where they would be starting. The doctor lifted a finger to push his glasses up on his nose before giving a chuckle, "Ahh, if only you weren't a patient." He said, giving the teen a wink, normally when people asked him where they would be starting while in bed in front of him it would end up with something a little more amusing then a physical... though he supposed both were rather hands on activities.
"First off I will be doing a few routine tests, looking in your mouth with this light, ears, checking your eyes to make sure they respond correctly. From there I will take a small vial of blood so that I can run some tests on it." He paused in his writing to ask, "Your not afraid of needles are you?"

At the unexpectedly flirtatious comment, Aludra raised a slim pink eyebrow at the comment, unable to help looking the other male over, something that he didn't find himself doing too terribly often. A soft smirk was accompanied by a rolled shrug of the shoulders. "I'm only a patient for maybe another hour, though," he replied, before his eyes widened at his own comment, looking for all the world like the confused and hormonal teenager that he'd become overnight. A faint blush crossed his face and he shook his head, trying to shake off the awkwardness of actually saying something that implied he was good enough for someone else. After all, he was with Vincent... kind of...
Well, not really.
Aludra nodded along with the different tests that he was told were going to be done to him, letting the blush subside with the simplicity of getting what was essentially just a check-up, aside from the blood tests. He shook his head. "I'm not afraid of needles, no," he assured the doctor, tail tapping rhythmically on the edge of the bed, the only thing betraying that he was still nervous. Nope, not afraid of needles. As a matter of fact, the only things Aludra seemed to be afraid of were spiders and his own feelings.

The doctor couldn't help but give a little grin, "Is that so? I will keep that in mind, Aludra." He said, giving the teen a smile before he got up to his feet, taking out his light, "Alright, open up your mouth and try to flatten your tongue so I can better see down your throat, alright?"
"Now, if I do anything that bothers you tell me. I don't want to traumatize my patients after all." At least the ones he liked anyway. He lifted the hand with the light turning it on while his other hand took a gentle hold of Aludra's chin to ease his head back to get a better look. He looked, nodded, then gave a sort of 'hrm' sound, "Yes, I can see the blood." He said, setting his light aside.
He walked over to the fridge getting out a bottle of water and then a cup, "Here, rinse your mouth, gargle, spit, then drink some of the water. Need to clean our your mouth and throat so I can see if there are any marks." He explained, holding the items out.

That response, of all possible ones, didn't make things any better, nor did the irrepressible smile that decided to laminate itself on Aludra's face. He bit his lip irritably in response, trying and failing at hiding the expression, though it seemed to completely vanish the moment the doctor stood up, leaving Aludra... perplexed, to say the very least. Being a teenager was apparently going to be as hard as he'd been warned; he'd only been one for a day or two and already things were happening that he couldn't for the life of him understand.
By the time the comment about speaking up if he was opposed to doing something came, Aludra's mouth was already open, so he only nodded rather than actually speaking, lest he make a fool of himself. Some point in the inspection of his mouth and the back of his throat, Aludra realized that it had only been a few weeks earlier that he'd met this tech-doctor-person and at that point he'd been a preteen and therefore marked 'untouchable jailbait'. And yet only a couple days after growing from that, about ten minutes from seeing Aden again, and the man was already flirting with him. That seemed generally odd to him, but most things about the spawn seemed that way.
Red-and-green eyes blinked in surprise at the statement of being able to see the blood, mouth falling shut and hand pressing against his throat gently, as though he would somehow feel a difference there. He took the water as the instructions were relayed. Looking between the cup and the bottle, he realized that he was supposed to spit the water in the cup. Following instructions, he ended up with a much soothed throat and a cup full of gross-looking blood-mucus water, which he handed over without hesitation, keeping the water bottle. That finished, he sat on the cot still with his mouth open and his tongue pressed as flat as he knew how to make it.

The cup was set aside on the counter nearby and he returned to looking back into his mouth and after a moment he gave a nod of his head, "Alright, aside from some irritation that I am going to say is from your coughing the blood isn't from your throat." He said, which worried him as it pointed toward something else. He set his light down once more to scratch down a couple of notes, "Alright, here is where things get fun."
He reached over to get a plastic band, "Arm." He said as he reached out to take his wrist gently and then set to tying it around his arm, "This won't more then a minute and there will only be a little bite to start." It took him a moment to find a good vein that he would be able to see despite the blotchy coloration of his patient's skin, "Here we are." He reached over to get the syringe and needle. He looked up at Aludra to check on him before he set to work taking the blood sample.
While he had a good idea on what might be wrong with the boy he wasn't going to take any chances. Better to cover all his bases instead of rushing.

Aludra smiled a bit, only for the fact that they were actually getting somewhere with this whole thing. "One down," he said, mostly to himself. He'd tried to look up what was going on with him online, as any web-savvy person would do, but he'd come up with everything from Tuberculosis to ulcers to everything else under the sun. Though it would have certainly been nicer to have been able to know easily what he was going to be dealing with.
"Fun?" he questioned, raising his eyebrows skeptically at the man. What exactly was this male's ideal of 'fun'? Extending his arm, Aludra pulled up the sleeve of his jacket, wincing a bit at the absurd amount of self-inflicted scars that traveled in patterns all up-and-down each side of his arm. "Alright," he commented, grinding his teeth a bit at the slight pinch of the needle. He let out a sigh of breath he didn't realize he'd been holding, watching in mild amusement as his blood was sucked into the syringe.
