[It felt like a century had past since Alba's last stroll through Destiny City Park. She was so new and brimming with curiosity for the city that she had so recently moved into, and before she had any time to document her findings she had found a friend beneath a tree playing a lyre. It was a good day for her, and she'd thought many times to give Marlo a call, but these days, she was lucky if she had time to eat breakfast before school, let alone make plans to get together.
It was an entirely different experience all-together to be walking the park's pathways with the light of the moon to guide her, and even more so with ribbons and a short skirt swaying against her hips. The trees that were once full of healthy green leaves were now baring thin and tangled branches, and though it proved to be a rather creepy visage, Alcyone was grateful that she was able to see fairly well on this clear night sky.
She still wasn't used to the idea of patrolling, although so far, she'd been lucky with her excursions: she'd yet to come across a youma or a person in danger since her Doube Team Supreme negaverse girl fiasco. It had taken a long time for her to get over her failure, and even now, she still felt an incredible amount of loss and sadness when remembered.
Sighing, she turned the corner of the pathway, hoping that tonight would be just like any other night had been: a simple walk in the dark.

No matter how hesitant Eve was to walk through Destiny City Park again from her last encounter with the youma, and the boy she had to save, she somehow found herself in the Park. Again, it was something she could blame on the whole 'Senshi of Spring' thing, though she supposed that she was doing this to make sure no one got hurt by the Negaverse.
Even though she had just apparently learnt that her attack was significantly weaker. It was something she was blaming on the cold weather, and had been grumpy about it for a while. She didn't want to go senshi anytime yet, and was still in her civilian form, so that she didn't have to be exposed to the winds. Perhaps a youma wouldn't be here anyway. She was hopeful that the Negaverse wanted to take a break, oh god, who was she kidding?
A ear splitting roar came from behind her and she turned to see a youma right behind her. That however, was not the cause of her shock.
It was the fact that the youma looked like a mutated plant...thing, that probably could be described as a huge Venus Fly trap with vines lashing out at her. It was a plant youma. P-L-A-N-T. And what was her attack? Flinging pollen at things to choke them and hopefully poison them. And pollen came from PLANTS.
This was not good. She decided.
Eve turned and ran, all the while fumbling in her pocket for her henshin pen.
"Flora Power, Make Up!"

Deep green eyes widened in alarm as she watched who she will later know as Sailor Flora flail within the tentacle-like grasp of the plant youma. Unfortunately for Alcyone, she had yet to find any perks in transforming into senshi, aside from the keen ability to run like hell and the occasional summon of a thunderstorm that has proven, at most, annoying to her foe. Annoying as it may be, however, it was at least something that caused enough distraction to allow a safe getaway, unlike the instance unraveling before her, where Flora wasn't even trying to use her special attack.
Didn't all senshi have a special attack? Atlas definitely did, regardless of what he thought at the time, and she certainly did. Why isn't this one procuring hers?
Something must be wrong, she concluded. Wether or not that may have been the case for Flora, the thought was resonating strongly within Alcyone and despite feeling inadequate or helpless against a monster that another sailor couldn't counter with, it wasn't her style to sit back and watch an ally die. Taking a deep breath, she pushed through the brush and made her appearance known with a catchy phrase and a striking pose.
"Shouldn't plants be withering from the first winter's frost?" She scoffed, unaware that held before her was the very senshi of spring. "I, Sailor Alcyone, senshi of storms, will....overhydrate you?"
Clearly, working on her catchy phrase and taunts have not been priority for the not-so-intimidating Sailor Alcyone. Instead of calling out her power, though, she picked up a rather conveniently-located piece of fallen branch and carefully circled her way around the youma. Once she was far away enough from Flora that any hit from the make-shift weapon would miss her, she swung with all her might at the tentacle holding firmly to its prize.
Unless she wanted to burden Flora with stinging torrential rain-fall, she would have to have her freed from the youma before summoning her storm.

"Oh hi." Flora managed to quip as the plant youma flipped her upside down, staring at the other senshi. Wait what? Senshi of storms? This...was not good. Summoning rain would only cause the plant to absorb the water, and who knew? It might even grow in size. Negaverse energy was such an unpredictable thing at times. "And over hydrating would only make it happier. Is making a youma happy even a good thing?"
Thankfully, the youma's attention seemed to have focused on the new senshi, and it roared angrily as its tentacle was hit by the infuriating brunette and dropped Flora. The girl flipped in the air and landed neatly on the ground besides Alcyone. Another vine reached out for the both of them and Flora ran again, chancing a glance behind to see if the other was following.
"So uh!" She yelled. "Sailor Flora, Senshi of Spring here."

Seemed like the Senshi of Spring had a lot more practice with youma than the Senshi of Storm. Alcyone was a little caught off-guard at how nonchalant the wavy-haired blonde was, considering the circumstances. It wasn't difficult for her to remember how completely devastated and stressed out she had been in her first youma fight, and to be honest, she was only just a smidgeon better than before.
Having been expecting retaliation in the mutant plant's part, Alcyone dodged away from the tentacle attack and took a few long strides to get aligned with Flora. Running was easily something she could do at this point. "Oh," She stammered at the introduction, "Um, sorry about the winter thing. It was mostly for the plant demon over there." To emphasize, she pointed a slender white finger behind her, indicating the youma as it somehow managed to give an awkward little chase.
"If you haven't noticed, I'm rather new at this," She yelled, ducking under a low hanging branch, "So if you have any suggestions or ideas, now would probably be a good time. I'm not exactly positive that water will do any damage to um. That."
Another glance behind and she found the youma gaining a little more speed with the aid of its leafy appendages.
"Also, despite our current predicament, I can honestly say I'm very glad to meet you!"

It seemed as though after a crazy scramble with two other senshi to take down an octopus youma, nothing else could be much scarier, and therefore Sailor Flora always seemed confident. Also, it was much better than obviously being distressed. Even though she was now rather doubtful about them being able to defeat this youma. A plant youma. Of all things.
Seriously Negaverse? Were they doing this on purpose? Maybe the Negaverse was spying on them and picking up their weaknesses. It certainly wasn't hard to imagine that.
"It's okay." She shrugged. "So is that what you do? Make it rain?" She paused to think. "Well, uh, I send out pollen, make thing sneeze, with a slight chance of poisoning them..." Something clicked in her head, and Flora felt as though a 'LIGHTBULB' moment had came to her. "Okay, I don't know if this will work, but what if you do...whatever you do, and then I direct my attack at the rain?"
She paused again, but to dodge a vine. "I mean, if the pollen dissolves in the rain and the youma absorbs it, do you think it'll get poisoned?"

She suddenly felt a pang of inferiority complex at the inquiry. "Well, um, yeah....and dark..and......windy..." So her attack wasn't exactly the best attack out there, but it was all she had, after-all! It had helped her out before, and she shouldn't doubt that it would help her out in more encounters to come. Like she had thought before, it was better than having nothing at all.
Well, that certainly explained why she didn't use her attack before, she thought as Flora described her own offensive strategy. The sound of rustling leaves alerted Alcyone to jump at her next stride, and sure enough, a whip-like vine snapped where her ankles once were. Any idea at this point was worth a shot, especially if it didn't include anymore running.
She really outta get more comfortable shoes for this.
"Only one way to find out!" She declared. Digging her heels into the earth caused her to skid to a most ungraceful stop, in which she swiftly twirled from and aimed her attack at the plant youma, who wasn't too far behind and readying another vine whip.
"FORCE OF WHIRLING TEMPEST!"
She was more than used to the usual routine: whatever light they had left to see from was completely blotted out by large and thick storm clouds gathering over the target by the force of an angry wind. After a crack of thunder, rain spilled forth in heavy sheets that caused the youma to be stationary until the storm fizzled out.
Alcyone glanced back at Flora, giving her the okay to pollen-up her thunder storm.

"Cool." Flora said rather matter of factly; she would have sounded more enthused, because at least Alcyone's attack seemed more interesting than hers was, if not for the fact that there was a mutated plant thing chasing them.
"Nice." She said appreciatively as she halted after hearing the other senshi yell out her attack, but didn't waste any time in watching the storm rain down on the youma. She gritted her teeth and ran forward towards the youma, and then jumped, launching herself in the air. "Flora Pollen Fever!" What seemed like yellow dust was directed towards the rain and Flora landed back on the ground, though the landing seemed much more awkward than before. It was probably because she was staring at the monster in uncertainty because...
She had been right, it seemed to actually enjoy the rain. Hopefully, that enjoyment wouldn't last for long. "I hope this works." She said, scrambling back to where Alcyone stood.

She held her breath in apprehension as she watched the plant youma do exactly what Flora had hypothesized. As soon as the storm's rain drops pittered against the monster's leaf-like skin, a noise that could only be described as some sort of attempt at crooning was emitted by it. Its leaves opened wide to receive the water falling from the sky, and it took no time at all to see that the youma was actually increasing in size and mutating, very, very quickly.
Alcyone was suddenly grateful that the senshi of spring was originally captured by a tentacle, otherwise she would have caused this to happen and really make things a lot more difficult than they should be.
Flora's attack was impressively acrobatic, or at least, a lot more physical endurance was put to calling it out than Alcyone ever did with hers. It was at that point that she realized she wasn't getting any air, and gasping, swallowed a whole lung-full before holding it back again, eyes locked at the youma and the little bits of yellow powder now mixing in with the rain.
She waited, ready to grab Flora and bolt if need be.
