Upon entering the kitchen you note that it is extremely old fashioned, lacking many modern appliances. The stove is a gas antique that needs the pilot lit on occasion due to sweeping winds from the back porch. Though not rod iron like one would have expected Aunt Bea to have owned with all her intricasies, it is still a very very old piece.

Microwave? Not in this household...nor will you find a dishwasher tucked into any corner. The whole room was rather tiny concidering and there was a lack of appliances period. Just the basics: Stove and fridge and a small icebox to boot.

There is a stainless steele sink lining the backwall, with a large window overlooking the backyard. The shutters close on the inside and can be latched down in case of emergency. Little flowers are covered into its surface, flooding in little streams of light. You open it carefully and wipe away the dust from the panes. It looks as if this house is going to need a little more work afterall.

With a cough you turn away to stare at the marble countertops...the only slightly modern feature in the room. Bea had believed in a 'good solid cutting surface.' With all the cooking the poor lady had done, Wolfie never doubted her Aunt's logic.

The fridge was tiny and needed cleaning badly. Its canary colored surface was a drab reminder of the old days. With a little imagination one could think up much more suitable alternatives to the colors inside. Perhaps a little paint would make things better. The slate floors were much the same...tints of grey and browns and tans. Very earthfriendly. The place held a sort of appeal none the same.

Beside the fridge was a walk in pantry. It held a tiny lightbulb glowing dimly over wooded shelves. Perhaps there was another, larger one of the sort in the basement...but then again that was off-limits for the time being. The shelves were dusty and didnt contain much that would be of interest to anyone. In fact, even the wooded cabinets which completely covered most of the kitchen walls were empty. Only a few staples remained. Wolfie's Aunt must have led a really plain life... or so you assume.

Lion walked into the kitchen looking at the small room. "I wonder what I could do for Wolfie, She welcomed me so nicely" Walking over to the fridge she thought about making a dinner. Opening the fridge Lion stepped back putting a hand over her nose. "Yuck, What is that smell?" Shutting the door quickly she walked over to the pantry and tugged on the latch. Looking around at the bottom of the pantry she found a small bottle of cleaner. "Now for a rag of some kind." She said looking around. Hanging on a hook above the sink was a Green washcloth. Picking it up. "This will have to do" She reached for the water faucet on the sink, turning it on a little. Grabbing a bucket from under the sink she filled it half way with water. Lion walked back to the fridge grabbing the trash can on the way. "I'll get this cleaned out in no time." Covering her nose once again to block the smell she tugged the fridge door open, bent down on her knees and began cleaning it out. Throwing away all the old nasty food and cleaning it with the cleaner and water.
After about an hour of good cleaning, it was done. "Nice and clean. Now we can get some good food in this thing." Lion said as she stood stretching out her legs.
Closing the fridge door she walked back to the sink washing her hands. Looking around she saw that she had used the only towel to clean the fridge and dried her hand on the legs of her jeans. Lion looked at the dirty bucket of water. "Well I guess I'd better walk out to the woods and dump that out. I wonder if there is a burn pile for trash or if there is a big trash can outside off the back porch? Well, only one way to find out." Lion picked up the bucket in one hand and the small kitchen trash can in the other and headed out to the back porch.

There is a kitchen table in one corner, ornate in is appearance, whittled perhaps by an uncle or grandfather at one time. Four beaten chairs lined the circular piece, dark with age and grime.

Wolfie looked out over the kitchen and cringed. This was surely going to be quite the piece or work to get into shape. The lighting flickered. Bah! An electrician was definitely needed as soon as Monday came. With a sigh, Wolfie leaned on the counter on her way back out onto the porch.

Alaster and Calendery bound into the kitchen looking for two things. Food and Lion. Sniffing around not finding what they were looking for they headed out to the back porch.

Fenrir bounds into the kitchen from the porch and starts a pot boiling water. Then dissappearing into the pantry to search for tea of some sort.

High on a shelf a large jar catches fenrir's eye and he takes it down carefully. "Bea Tea" Unsure who "Bea" is, but knowing he needed tea, takes the jar back to the kitchen.

Fenrir once again begins a search, however this time it is for a diffuser. Having seen True use such a device several times before he is able to quickly unearth a large one for a pot in a cabinet. Placing the tea in the diffuser, and turning the heat on the stove down to keep the tea just below tongue burning.

Fenrir scoffs at the smell, unsure to it's origin or taste. Shruging he bounds back toward the back porch.

True enters the kitchen as the pot of tea threatens to boil over. True rushes to the pot, grabbing a holder enroute, and pulls the pot from the burner, turning it off at once.

*note to self... teach fenrir about appliances*

True places the pot on a nearby range and rummages through the cabnets until he finds a kettle. True walks over to the faucet filling the kettle up. Placing the kettle on the stove and turning the heat up to boil the water. True removes several mugs from the cupboards and place them on the marble counter. Then, once rummaging through the cabnets once more, True discovers an antique serving try and places the mugs, a bowl of sugar, a small milk pourer and some crackers from the pantry on the platter. True retrieves the jar marked "Bea Tea" and places it on the tray as well.
Finally, True takes the old tea, carefully, and pours it into metal juice container. Placing all the retrieved items on the tray, with the diffusers Fenrir had left out as well, True heads back into the Common Room.

Moosey sighs quietly as she walks into the kitchen, having been working so hard on trying to help Wolfie with her research and trying to understand these strange new potions...
They bugged her. She felt as if it were too closely related to those of Gambino's lab and she wanted to make sure that they were understood before Wolfie sold them, but of course Wolfie knew best and reasoned that if the Moonlit owners were willing we can watch what happens to those they own and care for.
She sits down, slumping slightly at the kitchen table and watches a squirrel outside the window. After dazing out for a few minutes she looks around, and finds the place is a mess.
Moosey never really ventured about away from her room, full of secrets and such, and she realized that this place was in need of some desperate spring cleaning.
Before she is able to stand up and reach for the broom, Jabu comes skidding into the kitchen, the vinel floor making it hard for him to slow down without bumping into the cabinets.

Kai squandered a fairly small cod from the fridge. Barely cool, but it would have to do. She was ravenous. She nibbled at it and then slowly ate it.
Liera started nibbling at the tail.
Seeing the purple ball of fluff moving in on her fish, Kai tore it away from the infant. She touched noses with Liera and snarled,"This one is mine, Liera!'
Liera was afraid of the big Moonlit and scurried to the common room while Kai contiued eating.

Drift wandered into the kitchen and half-hazzardly looked around. Though the room was currently void of human life, he sensed something more. There was this scent. And he couldnt quite put his nose on it. Litterally. It was sort of like food, but more like something musty. Having stumped his snout up against the door of the pantry, he gave in, assuming it must be all the dirt and dust and mold and must from the tiny room.

With a snort, he nudged open and cabinet and searched through the remains of ancient food. There wasnt much to pick from. The saltines were in the common room and he wished not to be social and take them away from those who were enjoyig them. There was an old can of baby food, dated almost twenty years past. Drift let his tongue loll for a moment and gagged reflexively as the date struck him. Anything that old could be left. He scratched around some more, only to find that there was a hollow spot in one of the cabinet bottoms.

Rasha comes running into the kitchen as fast as his four little paws would take him. When he tried stopping, the tile carried him right into the pantry. A jar of jam smashed onto the floor. Rasha wimpered for help as he started licking the huge globs of jam from the floor.

A young pup slowly made his way into the kitchen, and the clank of his claws against the tile floor could easily be heard. He shook his little head and looked to the others that had made their ways into the room as well, and just as quickly as he had done so the smell of something rather sweet came to his nose. A certain curiousity tugged at the pup and cooly he padded over to the pantry and peeked his head inside. He noticed another pup, one quite a bit older then he and a dazzling red in color.
