The ram-horned constellation brushed her black hair back in the evening wind. Night was coming again, as the earthern days always had. Etoile missed her original home on the moon. Though she had lived here on Earth for quite some time, she still had not grown accustomed to their ways.
Sitting where she was on a hill, watching the sun disappear beyond the horizon and the sky burst into color, she waited for him... the new Twilif whom she just called "Little Knight."

The "little knight" emerged from the darkness. Lost as usual. Being new to this world. There was only one person he truly trusted.

She could sense someone, a darker aura of sorts. Only few Twilifs and Constellations had this feeling to her. she turned her head to view who it was...
"Ah, Knight. Come." She patted the grass beside her. Smiling warmly to make him feel more at ease. She wasn't... quite afraid of him. It was just the feeling he gave off.
"How is your evening?"

The twilif walked toward the constellation and sat next to her. Setting his lantern down he spoke. his words, though quiet, were audible...
"Its alright..." He felt a little better with her around. She was like a mother figure to him. But He still felt alone in the world...

Etoile patted Oswald's head softly to soothe him a bit. His voice was still a bit gloomy, despite that he was around her now. She couldn't understand why he was so down all the time. His aura constantly gave off that vibe.
"Oswald...why are you always so upset? You have this pang of... of distress about you all the time, and that you're lost."

He was quiet for a moment before speaking the words; "I am lost." Which was slightly true. He was new to the world and born of darkness... not many creatures would come near him.
"I wander the darkened earth... in search of... something." He leaned against her, deep in thoughts. Thoughts of finding that special friend he longed for. For now, Etoile was all he had.

Etoile held Oswald close when he lay her head against her ribcage. The poor Twilif, he was searching for something, but Etoile really knew what he was looking for; Love. He was searching for someone, not something. She knew how that felt. Being alone without anyone to recieve or give affection to.
Until Etoile met Shui in a dark, Twilif crowded forest one night, and suddenly, they were close. too close, it wasn't bad though, because eventually, the 2 grew up together. Thinking to herself, Etoile's blank lavender eyes looked to the darkening sky,
"And now we're in love..." she murmured.

Oswald just sat there with his eyes shut. Then Etoile felt the little knight pull away gently. Picking up his lantern he sulked off with his head hanging. Sniffling sounds came from him. He walked aimlessly for what may have been hours. Tired, he made his way to a tree and laid down. Shivering cold and a bit hungry he tried to sleep.
"I didn't want her to see me cry..." He respected Etoile and did not wish to sadden her.

Etoile saw Oswald skulk away from her... after a bit, she worried about what was really going on with him.
"I must search for him..."
For hours Etoile combed through the woods, searching for Oswald, but it was hard to see already. The earthern night time had come, and it's moon wasn't out to bear her some light for easier sight. Wandering and looking through every nook and cranny, she called him repeatedly.
"Oswald~! Oswald, where did you go!? Come back Oswald!!" But her voice was already straining in vain from calling all that time. Still no reply from him...
"Oh Oswald, where could you be??" She stepped on a twig that snapped. Then a low growling sound from near her... Etoile turned towards the sound. 2 red eyes glowed in the bushes, hurrily she ran toward it,
"Oswald! you're-- AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" The Constellation's scream echoed. Etoile was being attacked by a Suisakora; a skeletenized wolf-dog that was also one of the heavenly creatures that came to the Earth. t had gotten a hold of her hand and she was trying to break free of it.

Oswald jolted upright as the scream had reached him. He knew that voice... using his abilities of darkness... he crawled into the darkness itself and out in another location; to Etoile Seeing the Suisakora attacking Etoile, he jumped on it and began to pry its jaws open.
Calling on the power of darkness... he managed to free Etoile.
"Run!" He shouted as he began to fight the Suisakora with a stick.

Falling backwards from the force of her pulling, she could see the Shadow Knight prying the jaws open of the Suisokora. Etoile's left hand was bleeding heavily and punctured deeply, holding it and crying in pain.
"Oswald!! Get away from it too!!" After pushing herself up, the wolf-dog flung Oswald off and almost got to him as the little Twilif stumbled against the tree. Etoile rammed herself into a headbutt against the Suisokora's head skull, leaving a crack in it! Huffing, she threw the wolf-dog with her horns backwards into the brush and picked up the little Knight in her good arm and fled...
Tiredly, she had led them back to the clearing of the darkened prarie and fell to her knees with Oswald. Blood had stained her celestial gard and dress, but she held Oswald tenderly in both arms, despite the bleeding.
"Oswald... ever since the monsters and Ruin, the illusion of Ks. Haveni appeared, the forest has never been the same... I suggest you not go in there at night." Etoile panted.

seeing the blood. He felt a pang of guilt. Hugging Etoile He broke down. Apologizing About walking away and for her getting hurt. Crying & sniffling he was but a child still... but his act of bravery was by far the most adult he had acted.
"I'm sorry Etoile...!"

Etoile stroked Oswald's white hair with her good hand, trying to calm him down. What he did was brave, attacking a wild Suisokora off of her. She was indeed impressed with the knight. Maybe it was more than what she thought after all.
"Shh, I'm alright Oswald. It will heal... ngh." She flinched when the cooling wind hit her punctured wound. It stung. How long it would take to heal, she wasn't quite sure...

Looking up @ Etoile, With tears in his eyes he looked guilty still. A child with a heart not of gold, but of the purest shadow. Untainted & innocent, yet still alone. He gently grabbed Etoile's injured hand. Examining it with his red eyes. Silent, he looked around for something to cover it with.
