With the advent of the rise of two historic Gaian Demigods, renewed with power and burdened with the chains of the past, the livelihood of the people of Gaia are left in the wake of a new war. The time had come to rise and stand up against the adversity, be it in the name of good, or in the name of revenge. While both factions grew large, each individual played a role in the war. These are the stories of a handful of Gaians, ensnared in the whirlwind of struggle and victory, camaraderie and defeat. Alright guys. So this is a low-key RP. This is set DURING the B.O.O. vs S.I.N. war, and the character you choose to portray has the opportunity to add some back story to him/herself here. If you have questions / discussion, I welcome it in designated OOC notes in your post. smile Alright, go nuts.

The musky scent of fancy cigarette smoke lingered in the air of the damp alleyway. A young boy in his early twenties sat against the wall of the building behind him, his eyes tired and hands slightly shaky.
Letting the sweet, pricey tobacco calm his nerves, Imaru watched people scurry up and down the street. They cried out in the name of the Benevolent Overseer. Imaru ran his fingers against the pin on his coat -a charm with the crest of the Overseer- a gift from the man who took care of him when he was a child.
That man lost his life to someone who misplaced their anger, and took his rage out on someone who didn't deserve it. It was for that very reason that while Imaru could understand the pain the Sentinel had gone through, he absolutely could not stand behind her movement, despite his apprehension for the Clam and his ways. Follow B.O.O. would be the lesser of two evils, for Imaru.
Imaru continued to watch people run up and down the streets in adrenaline panic, to either fight or seek council and guidance from High Priests and Priestesses, Spiritualists and Spell casters. He took a long drag from the remainder of his cigarette and humored himself with the thought of becoming a Spiritualist one day. With a sarcastic laugh, he flung the cigarette into the street and tilted his head back to look at the sky. It was sickeningly dark. A grim reminder that now probably wasn't the best time to daydream in an alley smoking a cigarette.

"Thank you very much for all your help! You don't know how much this means to us..."
Another day passes...
"Oh, think nothing of it!"
Another one leaves...
"We'll treat him just like our very own... We'll be one happy family."
But one girl always gets left behind.
"Take care now~" the old lady said as he bid the couple farewell, the young boy in their arms. They all had smiles on their faces. Another satisfied customer. Another completed transaction.
Another brat out of her hands.
"COLINE!!" she yelled out when she was certain that the three were out of earshot. Soon enough she heard a creak from the staircase, and a young girl with fawn-colored hair came into view. Her clothes were nowhere close to being clean. Patches and sloppy attempts at sewing suggest that she did not have the luxury of owning many clothes.
"...You called for me?" Her face revealed a certain amount of indifference, and so did her tone. This did not please the old lady at all.
"Have I?" the old lady snapped back, her voice raised. She marched up to Coline and grabbed a fistful of her hair, eliciting a small pained shriek. "Don't get smart with me. I've been calling for you for the past hour, and only now when the customers have left do you choose to show your face? You ungrateful rat!" she pulled forcefully, "Who put those clothes over your back? Who feeds your filthy little mouth? Is it not I!?"
"I'm sorry... matron." she answered through a wince.
"Bah!" The old lady released her hold on the girl's hair and made her way up the rickety old staircase. "Dispose of the letters set upon my desk and go about your chores. And don't even think about slacking off, lest you wish for no supper tonight!"
This day was like any other, that she knew. And it would soon come to pass.
It would soon come to pass...((Yaaaaay RP! This takes place a day or two before the event starts, by the way. And I liek Aru's post. 8DD Join us ugaaaaiz~))

It hadn't even been a day yet since the beginning of the struggle, but time dragged along. The initial shock of the day's events simmered down, and resolve to fight was beginning to set in for Imaru. It was a shame he wanted to be nowhere near the flesh incarnation of the Overseer, since once he had always bragged that if he ever got the chance to approach the clam, he'd punch him in the jaw and demand reparation for his childhood.
Now wasn't the time to dwell on his own emotions, however. A quick overview of the town left him with the impression that unfortunately, as enthusiastic as people were to contribute to the cause, the only thing they really knew how to do was follow each other around in circles. He wasn't sure if he should feel sorry for them, or take them for fools.
It was bad enough that Imaru didn't understand his own feelings about his past and the current situation of the present, but another strange feeling washed over him. He wanted to reach out to people... Something Imaru just didn't do for most of his life. Opening his mouth would be something new. He determined that if he was going to speak out to everyone, he should know what he was talking about.
Imaru scratched the back of his head and grumbled softly as his feet took him towards the Overseer, to see what exactly the clam would need.
((I like Nii's post. Makes me manry tears... :c Oyeh I like Lori's crabwalk too. *throws net*))

She refrains from getting trampled by the many people rushing around her in all directions. This is why she prefers to avoid going into the city, there is simply too much chaos and contact going on with people for her tastes. If she didn't have the dire need to restock on her supplies she wouldn't dare to trudge through this mess. She even wonders what has all these people riled up so much, seeing as it is already so late in the evening.
"This is simply unbearable," she mumbles as she massages a temple dodging from the various people milling about. "This is even crazier than usual, what is wrong with everyone?"
She tugs at her coat and braces herself to push against the crowd towards any building that would shelter her from having to mingle with the insane crowd.
It is not until she actually pays attention to the mumblings, shouts and multitudes of conversation going on around her that it finally becomes clear to her what is happening.
"War--"
"It is time--"
"Choose sides--"
"Who will you follow?--"
"This is it--"
She finally reaches a small pub that the crowds have not been able to penetrate and slips inside for some quiet.
"There's a war, huh?" she says quietly to nobody in particular.
"Yup, the whole crazy business has the whole world in a flurry," responds the bartender.
"Really?" she looks up with a hint of interest in her tone. "Please, tell me more about it."
((omyclam, first actual RP post eek waaahhh, shoot me if it sucks. I still have no idea how to go about this whole thing.. but I am enjoying though rofl ))

She waves away the smoke and cringes her nose. She narrows her eyes slightly trying to forget the smell of nicotine she had to endure as the bartender recounted to her the story that sent every Gaian into a flurry of activity.
The bustle of people outside was still audible and a few even came into the bar to find recruits for their party or to stir up trouble. Lucky for her there are too few people in the pub with her to actually make a commotion at the new arrivals.
An ancient battle--
The Overseer and the Sentinel--
Clams, worms, portals and tridents--
There was sin S.I.N.
and there was B.O.O.
She stares down at the empty glass on the table before her and touches her precious scythe. She props her head up on her hands and sighs.
"This looks to be interesting," she mutters to no one in particular. "Maybe, I should lend my hand to the fight..?"
She gathers her things and motions to exit the pub.
"Well, what are your plans now, stranger?" the bartender calls.
"Hmmm, I'm not sure. This fight seems to be the single most interesting thing I've come across in a while. Maybe now's not such a bad time to act," she tells him, if not with just a hint of enthusiasm.
"I see. Good luck out there then, whichever side you choose. And if you don't mind, can you run your name by me again? Didn't catch it the first time," chuckled the old man.
"I didn't mention my name the first time," she sighs. This is exactly why she doesn't like to converse. It always has to remind her. And no one but she can testify to how annoying it is to not remember who you're supposed to be.
"It's Odin," she says finally. "And don't worry about me."
She pulls her goggles over her eyes and places a hand on the door.
"I'm with the Clam," she smiles as she disappears into the cloud of people outside.
(Uwaaaah! Please don't kill me for Odin's seemingly disrespectful last statement about the Overseer D;
Yeah, I likes this muchly P: though I am out of ideas of what to write next..))

I was no naive for believing in the Sentinel's propaganda, she thought as she was running from the Nation's hideout. But she could have seen this coming. As she was taken in, she never felt really at home. But now she knew for sure: her allegiance was with the Benevolent Order all along.
The sentinel didn't take treason lightly and ordered for her capture. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what would happen if she gets captured.
She entered the forest that was located between the Nation's and Order's headquarters and didn't try to dodge the tree branches and thorned bushes that left scratches on her arms and legs as she ran deeper into the forest. Eventually the foliage grew thinner and reached a clearing. She saw there was someone standing there and a jolt of fear ran through her body. She recognized his figure; he certainly wasn't an ally. He was rumored to be one of the strongest members of the Nation and the Sentinel's anchorite. She didn't know his name because she never spoke to him. She always tried to avoid him because he seemed to sense her disloyalty. This is the end, she thought. Her fear and exhaustion from running has rendered her practically immobile, but her legs still seemed to have enough strength to keep her standing.
"Please let me go", she said softly, even though her pleads probably wouldn't have any effect on him.

He was running after his target inside the forest which seperated the order of the benovolent one and the one of his master, the infernal Sentinel. once he had learned of the options he had taken the dark side without a single doubt in his mind. Now as one of the darker Sentinel warriors he was chasing after one who betrayed them...
..He noticed that his fellow troops fell behind in the forest, most of them weren't strong enough to take on the woman anyways, they would only get in between him and his prey. There was no doubt in his mind, he had received an order to kill the woman and drag het body back to be put up as an example...
..He knew the woman had always been avoiding him but no longer, he saw her paces slowing down which made him grin, he stopped infront of her just to hear her beg to let her escape, the doubt in her voice made it clear to him that she was sure that he wouldn't let her go, his grin grew wider as he locked his black eyes on hers...
.."Why did you choose to betray the Sentinel? You should know that it is impossible to escape the growing darkness. There is only a single outcome to this war, the Infernal Nation will win." He whispered, he never spoke with his full voice but always chose to whisper. He decided not to finish her just yet, he wanted to know her answer...
..Somehow he felt something coming from the woman, something he had never experianced before. Even though he couldn't place it or describe it he knew something was special about the woman. He wanted to know her reason for the betrayal, just to know would be enough for him to decide what to do with her.

"A fish thrives in a clean pond but the Nation's has been polluted with lies, hatred and suppression. The nation diminishes my power because it's aligned to fire, my exact opposite element. I joined in hopes to harness a power that lies within me but I was wrong", she said.
Her eyes quickly scanned the area in search for a branch that could be used as a weapon. If she had to die, she'd rather die fighting.
