So...I'm back from studying with Zoe Jakes.

OH MY GOD SHE IS AMAZING!!!

I took her shimmy and spin workshop...a...frick...en...mazing!

Normaly when I go out of town and spend more money then I can afford on a work shop, I end up with at least a bit of disappointment. NOT THIS TIME!!
If you ever have the chance, for the love of the Gods, take a Zoe work shop! You will not be disappointed. She's super fun, sweet, goofy, and very entertaining! I got so much out of it! My shimmies look awesome, and I can even do some moves I was having trouble with. She tought us this great spin too, and the secret behind the "Zoe Jakes" spins. (Aka the ones she does while performing wtih Beats Antique (on speakers))

Other highlights...

You'd never reconize the Indigo with out their makeup. I didnt have enough money to take the Madi Love workshop, so I was sitting in the hallway watching when someone comes up to get some water from the cooler...she's bent over with her booty in my face when I blink and go to myself "OH MY GODS! I KNOW THAT TATTOO!!!" Yupp. Rachel Brice had her butt in my face. Did you know her hair is naturaly curly? I didnt.

Also while I was sitting, Zoe was practicing along with the class 5 feet away from me. It was SO awesome watching her at that close a distance.

The show was INCREDIBLE! The Indigo and Zafira Dance Company (Of Pittsburgh Fame). I was in the second row, center and had a great view.
I was very impressed at how low Mardi can wear her costumes on her hips...I bet she waxes...yupp. They were that low.
At the end of the show, Zafira and the Indigo bowed, and then did this silly waltz dance with eachother, and got very carried away and began humping one another and mock-making out. Hysterical.

Over all, it was the best workshop experience I've had in a very long time. I came away having learned something I hadnt been exposed to before, and with a great over all feeling.
The Indigo is coming back through my area of the country again in March...and I cant wait!!
