lux AE T E R N A__x x Another day, another afternoon of time to spend with 'Zuba, as well as a chance for Adelle to see her 'Mommy' again. She took her daughter's still-complete hand as the two of them stepped off the bus. Adelle didn't bounce as she usually did as she walked to 'Zuba's house, not as energetic as she once was after what her inability to sit still had cost her. So her tentacles were probably the most active part of her, Sutry snuggling against Niita while Kammy just played around with the edge of Adelle's own pants curiously.
Adhara wondered to herself thoughtfully; she hadn't before been to 'Zuba's house, and she hadn't the slightest idea of what to expect when she got there. No less, she hadn't the slightest idea of what had happened over the past week or so to her friend. And she'd grown since seeing the girl, something that she wasn't so old to have outgrown showing off yet. When she reached the previously-learned address, she walked up to the door and knocked on it firmly, waiting for an answer. Marina Toriama What had been a low rumble erupted into a loud cacaphony as the door was opened by a sleepy looking purple-haired girl: Nataya. The fairy hadn't grown an inch since meeting Adhara what seemed to be ages ago. She winced at the sounds behind her, looking over her shoulder worriedly. "Ah.....Adhara?" she asked, not sure if the name was right. She tried to force a smile, but it didn't quite seem to reach her eyes. "Ah....I'm sorry for the noise...we're, uh, having some family issues right now..." The girl winced as a crash was heard, followed by a certain half-elf's voice carrying over the screams and bellows. "GINGER RENEE! AZUBAHIEL IZEVEL! IF YOU TWO DON'T....." The next voice was definitely familiar: 'Zuba. "You rotten little gilded-hair vagabond! I ought to rip your bloody eyes right from their retinas, you nasty, foul, oleaginous pop-culture wannabe!" The teen flailed at the younger looking blonde child, her mother restraining her from acting on her threat. "How dare you trespass on that which is sacred? Have you no honor? No respect? I should have a modern-day auto de fé and BURN YOU ALIVE, YOU HORRID, VACUOUS LITTLE CREATURE! How dare you ruin that which is not yours and then defenestrate the evidence?!?" The blonde child in question was, in turn, trying to get back at the split spawn. Blood started to well at the four new scratches that ran along her cheek, more than likely caused by the spawns claws. She fought against the restraining arms, her twin struggling to hold her back. "Ginger, please, calm down...." he said, trying to keep the girl out of trouble. Even though he saw that she was out matched, she didn't. Zemel leaned back, trying to pull the infuriated girl with him. "Atleast I'm not some split-in-half freak mutation from a lab!" the girl, dubbed Ginger, retorted, chocolate brown eyes glaring at her "older sibling". "I bet you were some failed experiment, and Mom just adopted you out of pity. I bet she regrets that now." Usually, the girl was rather pleasant. But. That freak of nature. Scratched. Her. Face. And she just was NOT going to have that! The only one that didn't seem bothered was the new little sister 'Zuba had mentioned, who sat in her playpen, ignoring the ruckus as if it were nothing. The room itself was in shambles; a lamp laid smashed against the floor and wall, a couple of broken picture frames were near the coffee table: stepped on. And tell-tale claw marks had ripped through the fabric off the couch. It looked like a war had struck the house. Oh snap. Stasia managed to pull 'Zuba to the other side of the room, trying to hold the girl back. Though, 'Zuba had stopped fighting when she saw who was here. Crap! Adhara was here, and look at the place? Oh no! This was terrific. Just great.

Adhara returned the smile, nodding in assurance that that was her name. "You're 'Zuba's sister right? Sorry, I don't quite recall you na-" she was cut off by a louder noise from the fight that seemed to be unfolding behind the small girl, glancing into the house in curiosity as Adelle hid behind one of her legs, having never witnessed something of this magnitude before. Niita, trying to be comforting, wrapped around the little girl as best he could, patting her gently on the back.
"I can tell..." Adhara mumbled idly, slipping into the house when she had the chance, watching the battle play out as though it was an honest act, almost impressed by the destruction. Her home had, thankfully, never had anything this bad. Screaming, yes, but that was because Haleriun and Aludra used to fight over Hale's CDs and neither of them knew volume control when they were that small.
She actually was impressed by her girlfriend's impressive vocabulary despite the rest of the situation. Reena wrapped around Adelle's arm protectively as the little girl peeked out from behind her mother, nervous about all the goings-ons around this place. When the split spawn stopped flailing around, gold-green eyes on her, Adhara gave her a small smile and waved a bit, not seeming to mind the place even as much as 'Zuba did, oddly enough. As usual, it seemed Azubahiel's worries about her friend's opinions of things were a bit off. With a hesitant smile, she spoke up. "Hi 'Zuba. Um... do you need any help cleaning up?"

Nataya nodded. "Yeah, I'm....I'm Nataya." she supplied. She turned back into the house, going to see what she could salvage of what was left of the lamp and picture frames. Oh dear....look at all that glass! Such a mess....
Stasia cautiously let go of her daughter, watching her a second before going to tend to Ginger's cheek. In a normal situation, she would have taken the time to greet their guests but...her daughter was bleeding and she was sure that the apparent mother would understand. She led the blonde girl to the kitchen, which held the nearest sink. The girl's twin followed, worried about his injured sibling.
A small giggle came from the infant in the playpen, who's apathetic response had shifted to mild amusement. The adults and older ones were so amusing...so very amusing.
'Zuba shook her head, embarrassment coloring her cheeks. "Ah....no. 'S okay. Got it. Sorry...." she said softly, rubbing the back of her head awkwardly. She picked up the larger chunk of what was left of the lamp, setting it on the coffee table. Well, looks like she owed Mother a new lamp, some frames.....patches for the couch...
"Congratulations on growing." she said as she cleaned, trying to break some of the tension in the room. The comment was directed at both Adelle and Adhara, as was the small smile she offered. She knelt down, trying to help her sister pick up the shards of glass and splintered wood from the frames.

Adhara watched the whole situation nervously, fluttering her wings just a bit, looking toward the smaller girl with the scratches across her face. Noticing the general worry of everything, her hands shimmered faintly; she would never pass up an opportunity to put her magic to work. She stepped into the house further, letting her daughter do what she wished, and paused only to kiss her girlfriend gently on the cheek. "Thank you for the congratulations, dear. If you don't mind, I'll be right back," she said. After all, she wanted to start things off on the right foot with the family she barely really knew.
"Pardon," she said sweetly, stepping into the room, trying to be as polite as she could, as well as being as non-aggressive as she could. "I have a certain level of life magic. Is there any chance I could help with those scratches?"
Adelle, on the other hand, was quite excited about her own growing, and she jumped over to her second mother, bouncing excitedly. "Thank you, thank you, Mommy," she said, having implemented the second version of 'Mama' for the pretty split spawn instead. "So, so why's everythin' all crazy and stuff?" she asked curiously. She'd never experienced such things before, after all, living in such a small, calm household. The worst she had was Aludra or Lira coming over in tears, and that was never that bad.

Stasia looked up at Adhara, listening a moment before nodding. "If you want. I was just going to put some bandaids on it and let it be." she said, smiling awkwardly. She wasn't sure what this girl - Adhara, was it? - could do, but if she could help, she wasn't going to tell her not to. "Thanks." she offered, nodding once.
The twins seemed to have taken to treating the scratches themselves. Ginger sat on one of the chairs, holding still as Zemel dabbed at her scratched cheek with a wet paper towel. The boy paid the spawn no mind; he was busy cleaning away the blood that had welled up. Ginger, however, was listening. "You can help?" she asked, her tone wary.
'Zuba blushed a little at the kiss and "dear" part, but managed to nod. She then smiled to Adelle. "Welcome, Delle." she said, nodding once. She then paused, thinking of how to word it. "Sister did something horrible. Cut up my art book. Threw rest of book out of window. Ruined it." Anyone who knew Azubahiel knew how much her art history books meant to her. And knew it was a wonder Ginger was still alive. 'Zu's earwing and elven ear perked as she heard a muffled whimpering coming from upstairs. "Be right back." she said, her tone apologetic as she headed for the stairs.

Adhara didn't even seem to be phased by the fact that she was in a strange house speaking with people who she only knew from her 'Zu's mentioning of them. She smiled sweetly at the older woman, speaking as calmly and as kindly as though they'd been friends for years. "Of course; it's the least I could do. After all, no matter who may have started it, it's a pity to see a pretty face all banged up."
It wasn't hard to tell that the young girl didn't quite trust her, and the young mother had no reason to cast blame. After all, she was sure that she wouldn't have trusted a random stranger in her house. "Yessir I can," she replied to the inquiry, moving to eye-level with the girl and ghosting her fingers over the wounds without touching them, smiling at the girl sweetly in that motherly way of her's. "Wan'na let me try it?"
In the other room, Adelle was busy looking horrified, mouth agape. "That's HORRIBLE!!" she squeaked, loud enough to be heard in the kitchen, flapping angrily at the thought of anyone doing something like that. She stomped her foot. What a meanie! She would never, ever be friends with a girl like that. Nodding firmly to herself at her own mental declaration, she almost missed 'Zuba excuse herself and quickly hurried after the teen, not bothering to ask if she could. And risk her saying no? Never! Not when the alternatives were being alone or being in the kitchen with her mom and that stupid girl. Yuck!
She hopped up each and every one of the steps on the way up the stairs, humming a very out-of-tune melody to herself. When she reached the top, she snooped around for a minute before finding 'Zuba, wiggling with interest. "What'cha got there?"

Stasia smiled and nodded, stepping aside for Adhara. You know, she liked this girl. She was nice, polite....she had to admit, her daughter had hooked herself a keeper. Heck, this girl was more polite than she was. Definite brownie points for her.
Ginger was nervous, but.....if this lady could make it stop hurting, she wasn't going to stop her. "Yes, please." she said cautiously, nodding as she looked up at Adhara. She still wasn't completely sure about this, but if anything went wrong, Mom was right there to avenge her. And that made her feel just a bit more safe.
'Zuba was cradling a little snake girl in her lap, petting the child's lime green hair soothingly. She looked over to Adelle, smiling lightly. "This is my new daughter. Her name's Cabonna." she said, smiling. "The loud noises scared her."
"Scawweh..." the little pink one murmured, rubbing at her green eyes. She then looked at Delle, a small smile forming. "Snakeys like me." she said, pointing to the girl's tentacles.

Adhara smiled softly at the girl, sure that her girlfriend had to have had some reason to wound her. Then again, there was always that sibling rivalry that she witnessed so often between her younger brothers, though was too much older than the both of them to really have ever experienced it herself. She took a deep breath, pressing the palm of her hand lightly against the wounds on the girl's cheek and focusing all of her energy into healing the wounds, eyes closed to keep from getting distracted, imagining the wounds slowly healing themselves as they were doing beneath her hand.
Adelle stepped into the room, brown eyes wide and excited to see whatever it was that 'Zuba had. When the girl was revealed and introduced, Adelle gasped before squealing loudly, running in and dropping to her knees beside the two, both of her tentacles interested in the little snake girl.
"Ohmigosh, ohmigosh, omigosh, she's so cute!!" Adelle squeaked happily, not hesitating for a moment to dote on the girl and cuddle her all over, mind already addressing her as a sister as she smiled up at 'Zuba. "You're so, so lucky!! I wish I had'a Cabonna!!" she said, giggling again before cuddling on the little snake girl like there was no tomorrow.
