National Geographic and sensationalismLike the Gospel of Judas, the Gabriel Stone is supposed to threaten and possibly destroy Christianity. National Geographic is notorious for sensationalism and this is no different. The view taken in this docu-tainment piece is a minority view among scholars namely because there hasn't been enough study to really say anything as it's effect on Christianity. So to the seekers of truth, examine information critically and don't get caught in sensationalist hype.

chessiejo is this sposed to be progress from the good old days of selling magazines because they had pics of naked savages? It's really not all that different when you get to the core of it. It's using what is controversial to sell and the information they are peddling really isn't even accepted by most critical scholars.

i still like all their maps, and underwater photos and such,
because i can imagine what it would be like to journey to exotic places,
but there is more profit in sensationalism i am sure

Lets just admit the truth, we don't know if the bible is really all that we make it out to be. Wether you chose to acknowledge books like 3rd Corinthians, the two books of Enoch, Gospel of Thomas, Acts of Thecla, the two Apocalypses of Peter, and the Book of Barnabas is up to you. But please, think for yourself and pray about it. Don't let some tell you what these books mean, they were writen for problems that the authors had in there own times and to add importance to there solutions they put another known great name on it.
As for the stone, how do we know it was made when people say it was? There will always be doubt in the world, let God tell you the right path.
