This has been a huge debate going on for years, and I want to know what you all think.
I have an idea of who will win, seeing as this is a pirate guild, but it'll be fun to talk about it.
Please post in paragraphs like these. It makes it easier and quicker to read. If you don't, I won't bother reading it.
Also, please put real arguments, if you get what I mean. Not just: "Pirates kill ninjas!" or crap like that. There's not much to go on with stuff like that.
Don't bump, or spam. Stuff like that.
Please tell your friends, and please keep coming back, and posting, and defending your ideas. Don't just put one good thing, then leave. This is a real debate.
Try to stay on topic, follow all the rules and... oh! Don't be rude! But you should know that already. Just follow all these things, and we're good to go.

Oh, and if anyone's wondering, I choose ninjas.
They're better fighters, better at getting around, they have better weapons, and a lot of other things, but grr! I forgot them!
Hmm... I'll sleep on it, and try to remember what I was going to put in the morning. It's almost 11:00 pm where I am, and it's a school night.
Darn my horrible memory.
And my examples were very broad. I'll explain them later, but I have to go now.

Pirates are better because they have cannons. Ninjas have shuriken and stuff but they don't have the fire power of a cannon. Also pirates have ships! Ninjas have to walk everywhere. Pirates are simply better!

I have to go with pirates, your right in saying that a ninja could probably kick a pirates a** when it comes down to fighting, especially if that pirate had been at the rum razz But pirates have one thing ninjas don't, freedom. freedom to do what they want when they want, Ninjas work for someone, if they didn't they wouldn't be a ninja, I also would like to point out that ninja's are lonely, yes they sometimes work in teams, but they don't have the close companionship that pirates have, especially if they have to stay silent on the job.

I was going to say two of the same things Jack mentioned. The freedom and the company makes a pirate more interesting to me than a ninja. I also feel a pirates character is more developed than a ninja's. All ninja's kind of seem the same to me. They all seem one dimensional. Not too interesting. I think there is more originality amongst pirates whereas ninja's all seem to share the same personality.
EDIT: I should also add something similar to what Kat said. The fact that a pirate's life revolves around a ship rather than land also draws me to a pirate more than a ninja. Ninja's tend to be on land more than a ship. I think there is more adventure when it comes to a pirate even though spending days, months, years on a ship isn't always fun and games. xp

Pirate cos like jack said their free to do their own thing, pirates also have ships and cannons witch ninjas dont have i think pirates win

Ninjas do mostly travel by land, but they could easily steal all your pirate ships. Along with all your cannons (and rum, but that's just cruelty to pirates, hitting below the belt), and could also steal jets. So they get aroun by air, land and sea. Pirates only have sea Ha.
It is a lonely job sometimes, but you could get around that. Just don't reveal you ninja identity.
And about the freedom thing. Most pirates work for the captain. You still work for someone. Ninjas don't have to work for someone. They just need to be able to come up with a plan, and go through with it successfully. Lone pirates just fail. It's hard to operate a ship alone.
And don't forget: real arguments!

Pirates have team work. Ninjas work alone. More chance that pirates would survive. Ninjas would die alone

I think the truth of the matter here is there is no way to prove who is better than the other. It is really a matter of opinion and preference.

I know. But it's fun to debate about it. But most people just get more sunken into their sides like that though.
Yes, pirates work in teams, but some people don't like working in teams, and like being alone. Most ninjas don't like teams. So, therefore, it wouldn't matter to some people if they died alone.
Plus, they have family's too. Weather or not they get close to anyone is their choice.
And, what will happen to a pirate if they're alone and have no guns or weapons? They're screwed. Ninjas would be able to fight for their lives, and probably win, if they're good. Without weapons.
They're smarter, and aren't constantly on the run, because no one knows who they are. That means more time to plan, and relax. ninja

I see where you are going but ninjas have a code that they follow strictly. Pirates we consider them more like guidelines so we have more freedom than ninjas.

pirates are better simply because they dont run around in sock and tights.plus,
pirates are in search of treasures and riches while on the other hand ninjas are the biggest case of ignorant pricks on this planet who run around with knives and such.pirates have no competition pirate
