The first snow of the year! The twins had been waiting for this ever since Reiya had first made it with one of her tantrums. They had heard an awful lot about it thanks to their older brothers. "We can build a snowman!" Samantha exclaimed, racing over the normally grassy playground field.
"We can go sledding!" Reiya said, following her sister at a slower pace. She was pulling two plastic blue sleds behind her. Silently she hoped Sammi wouldn't get upset and melt the snow.
"No!" Samantha turned around, frowning at her sister. "I want to build a snowman first! Then we can go sledding."
"Sledding first."
"Snowman!"
After a while, a new voice broke in. "You guys, I can hear you all the way from our house," Joshua said. It wasn't saying much, the house wasn't very far away from the park. "Why don't you have a snowball fight? That's what Vinny and I do."

Alome was not pleased with this turn of events. She Hated the snow. It made her feel horribly funny. Like someone was poking her stomach over and over and over again. And yet, her father dragged her out anyway. She was bundled from head to foot, even her wings were hidden.
She trudged around the park, looking around through the whiteness, before spotting some of her friends. "Reiya!! Sammi!! Hello!!"

"Hi Alome!" Samantha looked from her older brother to her friend. She giggled at the sight; Alome looked so cute bundled up like that! Not that she would mention that; it didn't seem like the right time. "Hey, I don't think you've met my older brother," she said, gesturing to Joshua. "This is Josh, he's come to play with us," she said, glancing at her brother. She didn't care if he'd actually just come to stop the arguement she and Reiya were having.
"A snowball fight actually sounds good," Reiya said, looking around. "The snow's just right for making snowballs," she observed. "Not too icy or too dry." There was a pause, where she looked down at Alome. "Hi Alome, how are you?" She asked with a smile. "Do you want to have a snowball fight with us? We'll go easy on you. Josh can be on your team," she added with a smile.
"What? Hey! I want Josh on my team!" Sammi complained.
"He's always on your team!" Reiya retorted.
"Because he always wins!"
Joshua shook his head, walking towards Alome and Noel. "Don't pay them any attention," he said with a chuckle. "They really do get along. As Sammi said, I'm their older brother, Josh. May I join your team? Together, we will beat them."
