Being one of the clan's hunters could be a tiring task, especially since there were only two at the moment. Kerr was doing his fair share tough, so Eirwen didn't have to spend as much time hunting as when she was the only provider for the group. One might think she had more time for herself now, but that was not entirely true.

Since her brother had yet to choose a mate Eirwen had to take up the duties of a Consort since she was Frost's sister. She was the only one besides their leader who had been thought something about leading a clan which made her the only suitable candidate for Frost's substitute.

Most of the time it was small issues she had to deal with, but today Dark Ice had found a Saigh who had wandered in the valley. Spirits, they needed to revive the Watch, the sooner, the better. Since her brother was off somewhere with his son, the stranger had been brought to her. And he truly did look strange to her. All those colors...

Eirwen dismissed Dark with a smile and a nod. He would remain close by in case something happened. "I am Lady Eirwen." She introduced herself with a slight bow of her head. "What is your name stranger?"

He hadn't bargained for this when he wandered this far. Camden didn't know this territory was occupied by a clan! He was sure to be punished for innocent wandering, and it made him nervous. The whole time he was being led further into the clan, the Saigh's ears were low and he was taking cautious steps.

Then he was brought in front of yet another ice colored Saigh and it made him shiver a bit more. Hesitant as he was, she'd spoken to him. Wasn't it polite to answer? So he would, with a squeaky, high pitched voice from pure nerves, "Cah.. Camden.." He cleared his throat after that, shifting from paw to paw, looking around.

This particulate female didn't seem to want to harm him, but he couldn't be to sure. Still, his short tail tried to hid between his legs, but wasn't quite long enough. "I... I apologize for trespassing?"

Eirwen raised a brow with slight amusement at his nervous shuffling. He was scared of her? That was certainly new to her. She hadn't even acted harsh, her tone had been neutral. She almost chuckled at the way he squeaked out his name. In the end she managed to stifle it down, not wanting to offend him. Tough her gray eyes sparkled with light-hearted amusement and a small smile played on her lips.

It all became clear with his apology. He was right to be worried about that, she reasoned. Not many clans appreciated someone intruding on their privacy and the Brig'Kassrik definitely didn't. However it was more like annoyance that someone had found their hidden home, rather than actual anger.

"I accept your apology, Camden." Eirwen said, letting a little more warmth into her tone. He hadn't come here with ill intent, it was pretty clear from the way he held himself, as if expecting her to lash out at him. "Tell me, what has brought you here?" He definitely didn't come here searching for them, she was curious why he had wandered so far into the mountains.

"I... I came because I am a wanderer, that I am.." He managed, unmatching eyes meeting her gray stone-like ones. "I did not realize there was a clan here. I was just wandering, seeing what I could find, that I was." Camden's voice, though now rich and strong, told no lies. His voice was like a welcomed breeze on a warm day, easy to handle, easy to listen too. It didn't match the rest of his rainbowness.

Clearing his throat again, Camden offered a small smile. "I have no clan of my own, you see. I do not know where I belong, so I go off on foot to see what is out there. To see if there is somewhere out there for me. Perhaps there is, perhaps not, but I will certainly never know unless I go." That was his reasoning for coming here. Simply to see.

"That seems like a fair reason." Eirwen nodded, now truly smiling at Camden. Now that she had ascertained he was no threat she was looking at him with eyes filled with pure curiosity. His rainbow pelt was something she had never seen before and her eyes kept tracing the colorful intricate patterns. "In this case you may stay here for a while, as our guest, if you wish." She saw no harm in offering a traveler shelter for a few nights or more.

Eirwen looked at Dark Ice once again and gave him a subtle sign that it was okay for him to leave them. Then she returned her attention to the dark-yet-not male. She liked his voice as well, the way he talked drew her in and made her want to hear more of his story. "Who knows, you might like it here. We are not as scary as we might appear."

Relaxing once he seen the other had left, the male gave a mental sigh and smiled slightly, showing his not quite white teeth. No, like most other Saigh, his teeth were yellow and dinged from the food he ate. He looked strong and healthy enough, though. Muscled, as well as thick furred. Camden didn't find himself very fascinating or handsome, but he did notice the way she was looking at him. It made him want to flaunt and show off for her.

She wasn't bad on the eyes, either. Quite the opposite. In his travels, he'd seen many females, but none looked quite like her. The color soothed him on the inside, and her eyes were so neutral.... It was welcoming. He was the only rainbow one he'd seen like his kind, save for his sister.

"Thank you for your hospitality. It would mean a great deal if I could rest up here. Then I can continue on my journey." Really, though, he didn't want to journey. He wanted someplace to fit in. Maybe here? Though, something felt off about it. Apparently everyone here was ice colored, and he wasn't.

Eirwen noticed him giving her a once-over and she found she didn't mind it much. Unconsciously she lifted her chin up and fixed her posture, now truly giving the impression of a lady. Her smile gained a more mysterious quality. Quite suddenly she felt the desire to smooth out her fur, to look pretty.

"You are most welcome here then." She said, happy that he had accepted her offer. Now all she had to do was find Frost and tell him about their visitor. Tough she didn't think he would mind if Cmaden decided to stay with them. His markings were quite unusual, but his black cat made up for that. And if he proved useful with whatever skill he might have, they would be more than happy to have him. "I suppose I'll have to show you around." She didn't mind, she didn't have anything better to do. And she was curious about Camden. "We might even come across my brother. He is the clan leader." She explained.

"Come, this way. Tell me something more about you, Camden. Have you always been on your own?" She had lived in the Plains herself, but only because her clan had been attacked when she was but a cub.

He did note her subtle change in posture and the way she held herself. It made him mentally grin. Of course, grinning in the presence of someone with obvious power and rank in the clan. What she was, he didn't really know. He didn't know the workings of the clan. He dared to move closer to her, actually sniffing the air about her. She had a nice smell to her.

Camden knew what he smelled like; nerves and grasses from many different lands, possibly salt from the beach a while back ago. With no rain in the air, the scents stayed locked in his coat. "I've.... been on my own since I was a cub. I have a sister, but we separated. We don't see eye to eye. She wanted to stay with our clan, that was suffering from inbreeding, but I left to travel, that I did."

Eirwen's ear twitched as she caught the sound of him sniffing about her and she sniffed him as well. He smelled like wanderer should, she thought. Of foreign lands, places she had never seen. There was also a...salty? Quality to his smell, faint, but it was there. She didn't know where that could have come from as she had never been to the sea. As everything else about him, most of the scents he carried were new to her. It was refreshing.

On her part, she was a little conscious of her smell because she had been hunting this morning and her claws were still covered in gore from her prey as she had not had time to bathe herself properly. Otherwise her coat carried the smell of fresh mountain air and the pine trees that surrounded the dens. She hoped that would cover the smell of blood.

"Oh, I'm sorry. About you clan and your sister." Eirwen looked down, thinking she shouldn't have asked. "I've lost three of my siblings." She said after a moment, feeling she should share something about herself as well. "Two died when our clan was attacked, we were cubs then. My other sister...I have not herd anything of her since then. The clan was scattered and we have only recently returned here."

She noted how he ended every other sentence of his with 'that I did'. She found it a cute habit. "It was a nice experience, living in the plains, but I couldn't stay there forever. This valley will always be my home." She would always come back to here.

His ears lowered when he heard her story. Much worse than his own. He was never attacked out right like that, not even in his wanderings. Sitting down, finally, he nodded a little bit more and offered her a warm, kind smile. "I did not mean to bring up the past, that I didn't. I do hope your future is going to be better from now on. Maybe some more cubs to flourish in your clan. It seems like a good home to grow up in, that it does. Just keep fresh blood flowing through, you should."

He didn't notice his habit, it was just something he picked up upon wandering. Laying down on his stomach, getting more comfortable, he wanted to tell her of the ocean and the fish.

"I have been to the ocean, that I have. It is a wonderful place. Full of water that smells like salt and fish that swim there. They get big, that they do! I have seen bones of fish that look big enough to feed three fully grown Saigh!"

"Thank you. I appreciate that." Eirwen smiled back. She wanted to say she had moved passed it, but that would be a lie. And she didn't want to lie to him. "It would be great if the valley was filled with children's laughter once more." Cubs was still something she thought as being in her future, but just not yet. Maybe with the right male by her side...

Pulling away from that train of thought, Eirwen laid down across from him. Ears sharp, she listened eagerly. Water that smelled like salt? So that was what she had smelled on his coat earlier.

"I can't imagine a fish that big!" She said with awe. There was nothing that big in the valley's lakes, nor in any other lake or river she had come across. "It sounds...well, it sounds amazing!" Perhaps Frost had traveled to the sea? She didn't know. "The fish, does it look different from the fish in a lake or a river?" She asked, tilting her head to the side, a wondering look in her eyes.

He shook his head to her question, the smile upon his face growing wider. Apparently Camden liked surprising this female. He didn't know why, but the way her eyes lite up when he told his story made him want to keep talking and surprising her. She was truly an interesting female, to say the least.

He crossed his colorful front paws over each other and flicked an ear, grinning like mad. "Well, not really. Just bigger, I suppose. I've caught smaller fish from the ocean, but bigger than what I've caught in a stream or a brook. It's odd, that way, that it is." His laughter was rich and warm, like your favorite snack before settling down for the night.

Eirwen joined in and laughed with him, her steel colored eyes lightened and filled with warmth, like sunlight breaking trough mist. It was nice to hear him laugh and she was happy that he was feeling so comfortable in her presence.

"Suppose it's because the sea is so much bigger, or so I've heard. More space for them to grow." She suggested with a light shrug. "You certainly have visited some interesting places, Camden. I'd love to hear all your stories." She said, subtly inviting him to stay for more than just a day or two.

"I myself wandered as far as a clan hidden in the hills, but I never went to see the sea. You might say I was a little apprehensive about such a vast expanse of water."

Of course he listened to her. She had a pretty voice and an interesting way of speaking. There was a clan in the hills? That piqued his interest a great deal. He would have to go find it later on. Logging that bit of information away, he focused back on the pretty female.

"There's nothing to be scared of! You do not have to go in the water, but being around it is very humbling. It makes you feel so small. Like a part of something even bigger," he said with a wistful smile. He stretched out lazily and flopped onto his side to look at her again. "This is a rather small pride..."
