Blackie: *Prowls around looking for something to eat, slender black tail flicking behind her as the wooden sandals on her feet click lightly.*
Elarinya: *tries to fish in a nearby river, growling* Stupid . . . Confound it! *is only splashing water*
No-Name: *blinks at the Burmese, a rather excellent fisher but in utter distates of water himself* N'xuk cisb . .
Blackie: *Ears flick listening to the sounds of splashing water* And just WHAT do you think you are doing? *Stands with arms folded within the sleeves of her kimono.* You are 'scaring' the fish.
Elarinya: *ignoring the unintelligible male, turns her head to view the Bombay with narrowed yellow eyes* I'm trying to fish, but they keep fleeing! I knew they were slick, but not this slippery.
No-Name: *Doesn't think she's giving that much effort anyway, considering it seemed she was just slappign the water with little aim other than follwoing the glint of scales - which in itself wasn't very reliable; tilts head slightly to view both females, the large Bobtail shifting slightly on his haunches*
Blackie: *With an ear laying itself back she stepped closer to the water and withdrew what looked like a ball of different shades of twine and yarn she had been collecting.* Fish are always slippery things whether we like it or not, but there are other ways of fishing. *Unravels her ball a little tossing one end into the water and holding onto the majority.* Better ways then splashing around like you are trying to bath.
Elarinya: *bites down a retort, looking briefly wounded in her confidence before returning to the mild haughtiness she normally carried* Really now. And how will tossing a piece of yarn into the water help then?
No-Name: *to self* Fihsh . . . Fihsh . . . Fihsh . . .*Maybe learning the language would not be so bad?* Fihsh, fihsh, fihsh . . . Yawrn?
Blackie: How do you think human's catch fish? Besides with those big boats and net contraptions. My human had told me of pictures of her and her older human holding strange sticks with yarn attached to them. She was holding up hers and there was a fish on the end. *Doesn't know the concept of a fishing rod, but pulls a little on the yarn she had dropped into the water, making it look like it was moving in a wormy like way* If this don't work then you can go back to splashing about be gaily.
Elarinya: Hmph. *grudgingly goes along with the plan because of her empty stomach* I don't think they'll just go for colorful yarn, though. We ought to give it some incentive.
No-Name: Ihn . . . ihn-sen . . . *Ahh, too large. Nevermind. Attempts to enter conversation, words thick with a strange accent* Fihsh? Fewd. *Remembers a few novice lessons in his old tribe and beckons them to follow*
Elarinya: What's that now? *turns gaze to him, a touch perplexed*
No-Name: Fah-low.
Blackie: *Glances over towards the other that was near the same water source that they were.* I believe he wants us to follow, or the very least, you. *Though she was winding the yarn back onto its ball, the strands would dry out eventually within her Kimono, but as she was, there was a tug.* Well, well... *Pulls on the yarn as a fish leaped from the water with the yarn within its mouth, flopping through the air before diving back into the water with a plunk and trying to get away with its supposed meal*
Elarinya: Er. *speaks loudly and slowly* Not. Veh. Ree. In. Tur. Rest. Ed. *watches with annoyance as the fish tries to get away and, in a rare moment of temper, tries to leap after the fish while it's still caught on the line* Come back here!
No-Name: *. . . . Ooooookay. So they enjoyed it their own fashion. his bi-hued eyes trace the Burmese's movements as she jumps the would-be meal, seeming a little amused despite his flat affect; not that he rememered much how to make expressions well* Fihsh . . . ?
Blackie: *Pulls at the yarn, winding it around the ball as she did, but in the end the yarn snaps letting the fish go, slipping near seamlessly past the other cat and farther away* Well, almost had it. *Frowning she looked at the now jagged end of the yarn and stuffed it away, she would fix it later. Turning away from the water she looked down towards the other cat.* We can always just go to the fish market. There you don't have to get as wet as splashing about here.
Elarinya: *scowling as she gets out of the water, polite enough only to shake herself dry away from the two before joining, settling down to smooth her fur back down* God, stupid fish! I'm not sure about the fish market deal. The holidays are approaching, and it will be packed with people buying gifts.
No-Name: Fihsh . . . mar-cut? *cocks head; was that what that strange and abysmally large area of non-forest called? But he didn't see a lot of fish walking around in broad daylight . . .*
Blackie: True, but this late? I would think that most would be home or where ever they were headed at the very least. If not. *Sighs* I suppose I could 'share' what I have left over from the other night. *Ears flicking back. she HATED being this darned cheery and 'kind' Oh it sickened her stomach, but she wasn't exactly in the mood to be put others out at this time of year.* Well come on, I have a feeling that this night won't be as warm as the rest. Already my legs are freezing. *Shivers as she walked stiff legged back the way she had come.*
Elarinya: *She had food? This was a rather good stroke of luck after the hour of fruitless fishing* Thank you, miss. I appreciate it. *stands back up after grooming herself, glancing to the Bobtail brute* Your turn to follow. If you're hungry that is. *trots after the other*
No-Name: *Has no idea what was just said, but hopes at the end of the walk would be a meal of some sort; thus, he follows after the two women a short distance, pawsteps softly thudding*
Blackie: *It wasn't that far of a walk, but a walk indeed until they came to what she had considered home. Here, it was a hollowed out tree, given she had taken some things from the city to make it more 'cozy. A blanket here and a few pillows there, a dark colored blanket met her as she pushed it aside and started fishing around one of the metal containers inside. Even within this small space, she had found some places to store things.* Ah! Here it is. *Pulls out a few small fish that kinda smell old, but weren't rotten... Yet.* Here, you guys can eat these, I'm not. *Divides the fish somewhat equally for the two that followed her.*
Yami:*Bounds out excitedly and looks around at the new kittys* Hello!
Elarinya: *a tad startled by the new cat that bounds in, having had her attention drawn to what laid within the other cat's lair* Oh! Um . . . Hello there. *sniffs the offered fish, not minding the slightly stale scent to it* Are you sure? It wouldn't feel right to just take what is yours.
No-Name: *rumbles along behind them and settles down in the empty space beside the two women, ears perked at the sound of another voice behind them; two-toned eyes examine the new cat curiously, silently; were more going to gather? The meager piece of fish offered hardly seemed enough.*
Blackie: Go a head. I have to restock anyways. I will get more fish later tonight. The fishman always seems to leave the back door open some. *Shrugs* Probably to get some air or something. Who knows, but the fish from his place is always good. *Ears flick towards another that came bounding up.* Peachy... *Though not quite the greeting the others had given, she was more looking to just the three, now there be four. Oh well.*
Yami:*Looked over the the pretty female and the other cats who were here.* Oh hello i didn't mean to bother. I smelled others and i wanted to say hi. I haven't been here very long so i wanted to meet others. *She said with a smile as she looked over them all. The little bob was kinda cute though he didn't look that happy.*
Elarinya: Well, you've stumbled upon a loose gathering. *small shrug as the other woman insists that she eats and parts the fish in three, nudging the other two's respective slices closer before starting to eat her own*
No-Name: *sniffs curiously, turns his head to the cat with the loose-fit flowery clothing, and dips his head in gratitude; paws the fish over and nibbles, wanting to savor each bite as he flicks his gaze between the three of them, ever cautious*
Blackie: *Raises herself up a little after the fish had been taken by the first two she had been 'talk' with. If that's what one would have called it. Stepping backwards she flicked off the sandals and flopped backwards onto one of the pillows that laid at the base of her home. There were some in little nooks higher up, probably for sleeping.* Well you arrived just at feeding time, so eat up. *Still cheery, she made a mental note to restock on fish and maybe find some chicken or something...*
Yami:*Looks over the female and the others and smiles but shakes her head* I just ate a bit ago so i'm not hungry. Thanks for the offer though! If one of you wants it you can have my part. *She said with a smile as she sat and watched them* But thanks though.
No-Name: *notices that the newest addition does not want to eat and, without speaking, paws the piece over to eat; he too nods to her his thanks, the clarity of his bi-hued eyes enough to channel his gratitude in the brief moment they met with Yami’s before they lowered to focus on the small meal*
Elarinya: Er . . . I guess it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t have your names after this. I’m Elarinya.
