In this cased, a soul is a batch of codes, passive and active sets of yes and no questions. A simple analogy would be souls and a harddrive. Harddrives possess the ability to run a computer, store information, and so on yet everything is written in a series of bumps that literally mean yes or no, 0 or 1, on or off.
Let's say for the sake of argument that every sentient being has a soul. Now let's proceed to say that souls are not coded to be spiritually aware until recoded to do so. In past theory, we've decided that a traumatic experience can alter the coding and create a spiritually aware individual. However, recently, I've decided that the methods can vary greatly between that and simply picking up an art such as witchcraft.
Soul alterations lead to spiritual races each with their own characteristics.
Take for example a Vampire. Vampires become aware of integral energy through feeding be it sanguine((blood)) or psi((Prana.)). The integral energy they get from either source is coded in a way that their souls can get nourishment off such things. After the simple understanding of feeding, integral energy may be further used in an assortment of gifts suchas ESP or concentrated within witchcraft, just to name a few examples.
Werewolves, on the other hand, are able to understand canine body language and feed in a way I don't quite understand. I've only had a sit down with one werewolf. However, it seems they can also pick up various ESP's. Witchcraft was not questioned at the time.
Besides having a soul race other than human that would help with development with understanding and working with integral energy, it's apparently possible to use a religion or a belief to do so as well. Witchcraft is pretty common, but let's look at Christianity, specifically the priest. A priest can cast blessings, ward off "evil spirits," and call forth "the holy ghost." However, arn't priests human to begin with? Suppose hymns and recitation of the bible can invoke integral energy that can be placed into objects such as the case of a blessing or used to repel other different codes of Integral energy as in the case of warding off evil spirits.
Sadly, that's where the explanations stop and theory keeps rolling as I know only of a few subjects:
