Another had joined the shadows. A female, apparently, who was as bold and bright as the sun. Eeva, not as timid as her father, was more than eager to meet and greet the newcomers who had joined their ranks during the days of festivities. Besides, it was her duty now and she was not going to shirk on them. She was an adult now, her childhood mischieviousness left behind. It saddened her somewhat, but she would not be burdened by her responsibilities. She would embrace them. Thrive on them.
If only she'd had more time to go and visit that male in his clan. She thought often of him and wondered whether he was okay, getting on in life just as she was.
She moved through the undergrowth and emerged into the Shadow Clan's communal area - a large clearing in the trees which had paths branching off to the dens.
Was she here?
In the distance she could hear her siblings playing and then, a roar from a neighbouring clan.
"Is Ruko here?" She called out, her voice bright and airy as the mountain air.

Though Ruko had yet to directly meet anyone in her new home, at the least she was settling in well. She was quite pleased to have found a small, unused den already, busying herself with sweeping out stay dirt and brush. So much easier than getting rid of the heavy sand she was used to dealing with.
She was hardly expecting someone to be looking for her, so her ears perked up curiously when she heard a female voice asking for her...
Ruko could not help but be weary, however, she held herself up confidently as she moved to trot out of the den and re-enter the communal area, garnet eyes seeking out the one who called for her. Quickly they fell on the dark, natural toned female, seeing as they were the only two out at the moment.
" That would be me... " The fiery lioness murmured as she offered the other an unsure smile, stepping up closer to the other. " Did you need something of me, miss? "
Polite and friendly. Well, it was a bit strained. Largely because she was so unused to being such things. In her former life, she was anything but. She had been cruel towards her family and anyone else she had happened across. Worse yet was her wild temper, cutting through everything like unstoppable flames, for no reason at all. Bit by bit, she was distancing herself from the beast she had once been.

Eeva lifted her head as the other appeared, her fur indeed as bright as the sun. She was large, too, large even compared to Mother, who had also been of rogue blood. The feather was attached to her ear, as glowing as her fiery tattoos. And yet this female did not seem as fiery as her pelt might suggest. Had something happened to this female that had quelled her fire?
She wondered, briefly, what her father might think of such a large female in the clan. He had always been nervous of rogues, especially ones of such stature. She'd have to stop by after this meeting and assure him everything was alright.
She smiled and nodded a little, noticing that the other looked a little ill of ease. She stepped forwards lightly and then spoke again.
"Greetings. I am Eeva Subiani, daughter of Rehema and Ona'raha Subiani. An Ela'wadiyian of the Shadows, now Alu'nadi." Alu'nadi was their term for Clan Leader. She was unsure how much of the lingo this one had picked up and was curious for the response. "I came only to see if you were settling in."

She had no idea who the other lioness' parents were. Nor did she have any idea at all what Alu'nadi meant and her confusion and curiosity showed easily in her eyes. But if there was one thing she got from her mother, it was her sharp intellect, skills that allowed her a bit of foresight and quick connection of words and attitudes.
She may not know what the words Alu'nadi meant. But for this lioness, Eeva, to introduce herself in such a way... It was not hard to guess then, that she led this clan.
Ruko gave a slightly awkward, yet respectful bow of her head to the female before her, unused to performing such actions. " I see. You know it already, but I am Ruko'miale. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am settling in well. I was not sure how your clan lays claim on dens, but I came across one that looked like it had not been used in a while, so I've begun to clean it out. "
Just by mentioning it, she knew Eeva would tell her if she should not take that den, or if she should be in a specific one. This way, she would not have to attempt to swallow down her still over-abundant pride in order to actually ask if she could have the den. She wasn't quite ready for that step yet.

Her eyes sparkled, impressed, and she took another step closer, relaxing her posture somewhat now that the formailities of introductions were over. First appearances were everything to an Ela'wadiyian and Eeva was already warming to this female. She had a good head on her shoulders and that counted for something!
"That's fine. The Clan is still rather small so there is plenty of space. I'm glad you're settling well. But, if you do have any problems, please feel free to come to myself, or even one of my family. They're always eager to help, even the little ones."
Wow, listen to her! Didn't she sound grown up! Eeva was exceptionally proud of herself at that moment and wished her father had been there to witness it. Shame on them for doubting her!
"Actually, its quite exciting to have some new faces here. For a long time it had just been my family and two others. Recently things have started taking shape. It lightens the souls of everyone here to see it." She continued. "The pride has had a rather dismal past but things are changing, that is for certain. Ruko, would you like me to show you around a little?"
