If you didn't know, an abortion thread regular (A Promiscuous Pirate) recently got an abortion and was not ashamed, even reflecting her sig to show as much. I do not believe any woman should be ashamed of getting an abortion and asserting her choice. I have made this sig in support of her. And it doesn't hurt that it combats those wangting anti-choicer sigs lamenting 'Baby' Keeran. *smirk*

EDIT: This and Bea's sig are both finished. I can't add anyone else.

Here is Bea's.

And for all you little lurky loos from the anti-choice guild (yeah, I said it; I only call you pro-lifers when in one lj comm because I'm not allowed to call you what I really think of you): You want to take up beef with the wording and say that I or anyone else is a big mean liar who doesn't care about you? Go ahead. But you're right. I don't care about how you feel. In fact, it amuses me as long as it's not actively taking away my rights--cause when that line is crossed, I bite. Yell about me all you want, and yell at me, and talk about me back handed. But chances are I won't care, because anyone who thinks that my bodily rights end when implantation begins is my enemy.

This is exactly how it should be. Choice being supported, not matter what that choice is. 3nodding

This brings me to an interesting point. Do I have a choice to support it or not? Cause I think I do.

But I support that this person made a choice. Not persay the choice they made, but that they made a choice.

You do have a choice not to support. But, people shouldn't be bashing her for her choice. In a sense, I speaking that she used her ability to choose, not really the choice she made. Hence "Choice should be supported, no matter what that choice is." Not actually saying that they have to support that she choose abortion, but that she practiced her right to choose what was best for herself.

It's disgusting how some of them see APP as some kind of frail little girl who wasn't loved by her parents or something.

I hate false sympathy. Under its transparent layer is just a shitload of condescending drivel.

Neth, can we have the other one too? The one with Beatrix? surprised

And if anyone is good with animation i think it'd rock if we were all clapping or patting them on the shoulders. But that doesn't have to be. blaugh

I don't believe in putting others down for the choices they make in their life. Expecially if these people have never met her in real life and her choice will never effect them. Sure, it's a choice to bash, but I find it to be extremely distasteful. But, I guess that is only my opinion, considering I am not on the 'bashing' side.
