Andrew walked quickly through the woods. "Lyndon! Stay close!" He yelled over to his little companion who was almost out of sight. I just had to bring him along... He sighed mentally as he came to a gallop to catch up to the young one. They had been out all day and the sun was slowly heading west. His stomach growled. We should stop and eat. he thought, getting a hold of Lyndon's arm. "Hey, you hungry?" He smiled as he looked down at Lyndon, taking the basket that he was holding. It was filled with fruit and other things, but he wanted to get something special for Lyndon.

Lyndon handed the basket to Andrew and slowed to a stop. "Hungwie?" he patted his belly and put on a macho expression. "I no get hungwie!" he smiled at Andrew, thinking he had won some kind of competition with him. "We stop for you!" he said with a smirk but was soon interrupted by his growling stomach. He blush and turned his face away from Andrew.

Andrew chuckled and ruffled Lyndon's hair. "Ok then, I'll keep all the food for myself!" He held the basket out of Lyndon's reach. "I'll go and and find a spot while you wait here." He started to walk off to see if Lyndon would follow him.

"Wait! Wait for me!" he yelled running after Andrew. "Follow me!" He ran ahead of him and turned quickly out of sight. He little hooves scrapped against the ground as he ran faster to get to his spot before Andrew. He turned his head back and tripped over a root and rolled into a small clearing. Flowers of every color where there, seeming to beat out the fall. A stream nearby splashed cool water onto the bank. Lyndon composed himself and waited for Andrew. "Come on A'drew!"

Qiuyue sat happily in a small field in the middle of a forest, weaving flower stems together. She often went out on her own to pick flowers for herself or for her brother. But they were usually for herself. She hummed quietly as her small hands braided the wildflowers into one another until they formed a long chain. She smiled and twisted the two ends together to form a sort of necklace. The little girl centaur draped the necklace over her head and smiled at her creation. With that done, she started to pick the prettiest flowers and place them in her hair.

Out of the corner of her eye, Qiuyue could see a disturbance on the nearest side of the field. She quickly crouched down in the grasses, hoping that she wouldn't be noticed. When the strangers got closer, Qiuyue saw a tall, purple colored male centaur, and a smaller orange-brown male. Qiuyue couldn't tell what kind of taur the smaller one was, but he seemed... interesting. In fact, he looked almost the same age as the little girl centaur. Curious, but not enough to actually approach the pair, Qiuyue shrank down on her haunches, watching the two all the while.

Lyndon splashed happily in the water, not minding that it was a bit chilly. Andrew was not that far behind him watching him carefully because he was known to wonder off and hide. "Drew! Drew! Come play!" he splashed more water playfully toward Andrew who had now reached the bank of the stream. He touched the smooth stones under the cool water to find the shiniest one to take to Andrew, but before he found one, a moving silvery figure in the stream caught his eye. He quickly went after it but it had gotten away. "A'drew! Get fish for me! Please!" he said as he gave an excited smile. Fish were one thing that he loved.

Andrew came toward the bank. This kid's going to be the death of me! He laughed at Lyndon's obvious obsession for fish. "Ok, just give me a second." he said as he sat down the basket and started getting a small fishing net out. He had a feeling that he'd need this today. As he unfurled the net, something caught his eye. Was that a flicker of movement? he thought keeping his eyes keen on the spot.

"Drew?" Lyndon looked up from the silvery fish he was trying to catch to see Andrew staring at something in the grass. This gave Lyndon an idea. He would race Andrew to that spot! He would get the before him and be the winner! He slowly crept out of the water as soon as he had a clear path, he took of through the grass and flowers to the spot Andrew had been staring at. He looked back at Andrew, "I'm gonna win! I'm gonna-" Before he could finish he had tripped over something. He couldn't tell what because he had landed face first into the soft, sweet smelling flowers.

Qiuyue watched curiously as the two strangers came into the field. One of them was purple and seemed a lot older than her or the other taur he was with. That alone made Yue cautious. Adults always liked to talk, and she hated when they talked to her because they always expect a response. And of course, Qiuyue wasn't the best at responses. Thinking to herself while watching the pair, she laid down among the flowers, calming down a little bit while scenting their sweet aromas all around her.

As she lay sprawled out in the flowers, Qiuyue heard a soft sound... A sound of running. Slightly apprehensive, she poked her head out of the bed of flowers just in time to see the smaller boy running right at her. She uttered a small cry of shock and tried to scramble out of the way, but she was not fast enough. The boy had already tripped over her and landed in the flower bed. Startled, Qiuyue lay there face down for a few seconds, then she picked herself back up and inspected herself for damages. She had a small scratch where one of the boy's hooves caught her arm, but she was otherwise fine. And then she saw her flower necklace.

As she hit the ground, the impact had broken the knot she made and tore the necklace off of her. The once beautiful flowers now lay in a smashed, crumpled up heap where she had landed. Qiuyue stared at the smashed flowers in shock for a second or two, her deep blue eyes round as dinner plates. Then she slowly turned to face the boy who had tripped over her. In a small voice not quite filled with rage, she said quietly, "Meanie... Kill'd flow'rs..."

Lyndon surfaced from the sea of flowers. Stems and petals in his hair and face as he spit out the dirt from his mouth. "Owie..." he muttered as he stuck out his dirt covered tongue and rubbed the back of his head. Soon he realized that there was some one with him, a small taur around his age. She seemed to look upset as she stared at the broken flower chain. "I sowie..." he said, making his way closer to her.

Andrew rushed over to Lyndon. "How many times have I told you to stay close!?" He prepared for the worst when he came upon a sad looking taur. Lyndon must have ran into her he thought patting Lyndon's dirty head. "Did you say you were sorry?" He looked to Lyndon questioningly. "I'm sorry little one, are you hurt anywhere?" He sat down in the flowers so that he could look her in the eyes.
