Seaki
Leini gave a small yawn. The weather was a bit cool, but that would be excepted, since the sun had not come to warm the great earth yet. She gave a small smile, and pushed herself up - she always rose with the sun. Thank Njozi she did, otherwise nothing would ever get done in her clan - sleep it was based off of, but sleep wasn't the only thing to be done. She cast a glance at her mate, and smiled warmly at his sleeping form. She pulled herself and made her way out of the den.
She missed having young ones to care for, she glanced at her belly and frowned a bit before deciding to head out to sit by the great lake. She pushed forward, unwilling to let the sleepy feeling in her bones keep her back. Walking further, she made it to one of the further reaches of the lake, closer to the border. Lowering her head, she lapped up water, letting the cool morning water refresh her mind and body.

Radi couldn't help but wonder idly how long he'd been traveling, on this particular morning in the dim light that heralded the beginning of the sun's ascent into the sky. Far too long, no doubt. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd interacted in the safety of a pack, nor the last time he'd seen either of his brothers... He had no doubt they'd survived the tragedy of their pack's demise - after all, their bodies hadn't been among those he'd found upon returning from his hunting patrol.
With a low sigh of displeasure, the golden wild dog allowed his those dark thoughts to scatter, instead focusing on the path ahead of him. He could scent the borders of a pack in the area, and did his best to make sure he didn't step onto them, settling at the lake for a drink just a few tail lengths from the first scent marker.

The old female lifted her head to look over at the rising sun, red eyes traveling over the vast lake the stretched beyond her eye's vision, it made her wonder for a moment, what was on the other side. Ear flicking, her nose twitched in the air. Was her nose not working? She heard something... But the wind was blowing a different direction... She swiveled her gaze around, it settling on that of a dog.
A dog?
"Hello, there!" She called to him, her tone warm and friendly. Unlike her daughter, she remembered that this pack welcomed everyone a refuge from weary traveling and an escape from bad pasts. This dog was no exception.

The sudden greeting startled Radi slightly, and it took him a moment to smooth down the ruffled fur at his hackles. He had no reason to be so defensive, not yet. The voice he'd heard had no signs of being either defensive or aggressive. Even so, he didn't dare take a pawstep onto pack lands without being granted permission. Instead, he trotted a bit closer to the border, sitting at it's edge and returning the females greeting.
"Hello to you as well!"

Leini gave a small quirked smile, almost saddened when she saw his hackles raised. Probably a bad past too, unless he was just skittish for being around the border. "You're welcome here, traveler," she told him empathetically. "I haven't seen you around this area before," she said thoughtfully.
She had been in close to the same area for over a year, her original den not terriibly far away. The pack's dens were larger though, andd her pups had matured to young adults before they had left the odl den to accomodate one withing - nevertheless, she had never seen this male before.

"Nothing really. I've been wandering for a long time, hoping that by some miracle I might chance across one of my brothers," Radi said dismissively, glancing back towards the female. He didn't mean to be curt with her, but it had been so long even he wasn't aware why he wandered anymore.

Leini kept silent for a moment, not wanting to ask about someone's past - she didn't want for anyone to ask about her own, so she would offer the same respect. "It is beautiful, isn't it?" she questioned rhetorically, gaze turning to the lake. She returned to silence once again.
A few moments passed before she worked up the courage to ask, "If I may ask... What brings you here?"

Leini tilted her head - this was were she stopped asking personal question. "Perhaps if you rest your bones before you travel again..." Traveling took a lot out of someone. Her father was the only exception, but she hadn't seen him since she was a pup.
"Our pack is small, but no one will ask for your past here, no one will judge, we were all just travelers are some point..." Well, except maybe the newest sixteen. Even one of the young ones already traveled alone, like she had.

"That would be wonderful... But I wouldn't want to impose upon your hospitality or intrude upon a pack where I'm not welcome," Radi said lightly, his ears flicking back against his head nervously. He didn't dare intrude where he wasn't welcome.

"You wouldn't be imposing. Everyone is welcome here," she gave a warm smile, and guestured with her head lightly. "I'm sure the Mkuu and Sheikh will approve. They're very kind."

Radi was silent for a long moment after her declaration, weighing the options somewhere in the recesses of his mind. He could probably hold his own if he was attacked for intruding on their lands, but if he did get injured he had no hope of finding his brothers... Then again, if the pack was made of former wanderers, perhaps others within the pack had caught wind of them. His mind made up, the golden wild dog stepped onto the lands, bowing his head before Leini gratefully.
"Thank you. If nothing else, I can rest and see if anyone here has seen either of my brothers," he said softly, he tail wagging slightly. "I'm Radi Kirauni."

Leini gave a small bow as well. "Leini. It's nice to meet you," she told the male sinceraly. "I wish you the best of luck with finding your brothers." The tilt of her head was welcomeing and she was. "You'll like it here, for as long as you stay," she nodded, walking back inland a bit.
