Kakali stood at the edge of the waters, watching the birds on the relflection of the lakes smooth surface. What it would be like to fly, she often thought as she watched them soar through the air, she would never know, though, that was quite alright. She rather not be a wandering spirit flying through the air after her death. Dipping her head towards the water she slowly took a drink. It was still cool and refreshing, the way she liked it. Unlike during the day when it started to heat up, the water always seemed to have a funk to it when it was warm. Today was yet another day to wander, and maybe, just maybe, she would find something interesting on the way.

Picking herself up, the waxwing colored lioness slowly padded towards the grasses, going nowhere in particular, but everywhere at the same time. Where would her feet lead her to? What interesting treasures lay waiting for her to find? She wouldn’t know until she found them, but for now, she would move, racing to find a cool place before the sun got too hot for her to enjoy.

Aryaisha was a lion who like to keep his mind as well as his body in shape and for some reason this day was just not stimulating his mind all that much. Normally a solitary walk would not frustrate the lion but for some reason he woke up in the morning wishing for company, some one any one to distract him from his own thoughts. Ary didnt even know why he wanted company since normally he liked being alone.

The day had started quite normally, cool and slightly damp. He knew that as soon as the sun would rise it would quickly warm up until it became extremely hot. Ary had watched the sun rise and the world around him come slowly awake, he had even watched as the sleeping birds woke and took to the skies.

He was situated in a small glen of trees with a small trickle of water feeding the bushes and trees surrounding him. This place as well as the birds were reminding him of his accouter with Yaretzi. And that thought made him think of all the others he had met along the way making him feel oddly reminiscent and longing for something he didn't really know what. "Damn it mind. Stop thinking stupid things." he muttered in frustration.

Continuing her wandering she took in all the smells of morning, the soft dewy smell of the grass, the crispness of the air, and the cool scent in the breeze. It was always beautiful in the morning, and one of her favorite times of day. Looking up towards the sky again she knew she was heading south somewhere. Maybe she would find a nice carcass to pick off of today, maybe a nice bone to later make into a necklace of some sort.

Her eyes were scanning the ground now, looking for something interesting to investigate. Everything around her was rather tall, the grass was tall, the trees were tall, and she had a feeling that even the lions would be tall here, wherever here was. Padding towards a large cluster of trees the female noticed the scent of water. Would it taste any better than the stuff she had just drank? Her curiosity got the best of her. Maybe it would taste good.

Tan coat brushed against the tan grasses that lead towards the scent of water and trees. She stopped only a couple of times to watch a few snakes slither in the grass before continuing. What a strange but interesting place. Although… far too quiet as well.

Damn it mind. Stop thinking stupid things. She heard fairly close to her. She wasn’t alone after all, and it seemed that the sound was coming fairly close to the scent of water! Pushing past the last of the tall grass she stared at a dark brown lion, along with a rather beautiful glen.

“…and why is your mind stupid?”

"Oh that's because..." Ary started to answer with out realizing that the question was made by a outside source. He looked up at a tan lioness who seemed to have just come into the small glen. "Um well its because I cant seem to, well, stop thinking about the past." He was not sure what to say since this female came upon him suddenly when he was talking out loud. Arnt the ones who talk to themselves considered crazy? he thought to himself as he waited to see what this female would do. He was a bit curious as to why this lioness was here, Ary thought this area was fairly unpopulated.

"What brings you this way?" He stood up but stayed where he way, Ary didn't want to scare the lioness. "So anyway, hello. My name is Aryaisha but everyone just calls me Ary." He figured that this bold female would like to know who she came upon under the trees.

Kakali grinned, having caught the lion off guard; it was always a pleasure to catch someone while they were in their own train of thought, especially when they are talking out loud about it. It was funny sometimes the person caught off guard plays it like they were not being crazy. Of course it isn’t crazy; it is just helping them figure out situations. “Don’t let that past of yours bite you in the a**.” She mused, sitting down where she had stood. This male might prove to be a treat for her. Someone to chat with and pick on ever so slightly. Oh what a great day this was going to be.

Ears perked up at his question as she mulled over it for awhile, should she tell him the truth or just say she is a wanderer? Looking over him she smirked, she could take him if she needed to so there were no worries of him trying to take her treasure…. “I am a wandering treasure hunter.” She called, watching him take a seat. Did he think she was afraid of him? Her brow rose as she watched him. Interesting. At least he knew he place.

“Ah, Aryaisha, what an interesting name you have. Mine is Kakali.” Getting up to move closer to him, she wondered if he was the shhhy kind of lion. Why else would he be out here by his lonesome. “Why are you out here by yourself. Ya lost, hate other lions, or just a piss poor example of a lion?” She looked him over smirking. If he was a piss poor example of a lion he would be skinny, he wasn’t that, he didn’t seem to hate lions because he was using fairly good etiquette with he, so he was lost, or a wanderer like she. …but none the less she was still interested in hearing his reply.

Ary looked at the three scars that ran down his back hip, it was a lasting memento from Yaretzi, one that he didn't mind having. "Its a bit late for that." he said with a smile. "A treasure hunter? Cool." He was not personally interested in treasure but he had never really found anything that he would have called treasure.

He didn't move as Kakali came closer to him, he was comfortable and she didn't strike him as a overly violent type. "Nice to meet you Kakali." He nodded his head in greeting causing a bit of his black main to slip into his face. Like many times before Ary made a face before shaking his head to get the fur out of his face, making him look quite rougeish yet somewhat childish at the same time.

"I'm here because my paws were tired of walking." He purposely misconstrued the first half of her question and found the second half amusing. "Being lost would mean that I dont know where I am but I know that, I'm right here. And if I hated others I wouldn't meet interesting others such as your self. As to being a piss poor lion, it depends on your definition of 'piss poor', is a lion who does well in hunting but dislikes fighting 'piss poor'? or is a lion who loves to fight but has no one to call a friend 'piss poor'?" Other then telling stories his other favorite thing to do was verbal dancing with others. He smiled and waited to see what this strange female would do.

Kakali raised a brow but didn’t question him. She didn’t really care what he meant by ‘it’s a bit late’, even if it was an odd thing to say. She looked at his scars again before coming to stare him in the face, thankful for all the shade. It hid some of her face, which she was thankful for. He didn’t need to know what she was thinking.

“You mane bothering you?” She motioned toward his face, holding in a laugh at the odd performance he had displayed to her. It was rather childish of him to get so annoyed with is in the middle of a conversation. Although, she did like the rough look that he now wore with his mane tangled around him.

Kakali laughed as he replied to her questions. He was pretty sharp she would give him that, and amusing as well. Someone she could enjoy talking to for awhile. It had been a long time since she had found someone like that. “Piss poor would be a little of both my sweet. “ She got up and inched closed, then stood right next to him before taking a seat. Where would their words end up if she continued to speak with him? “I do believe I have found myself someone interesting, and I thank for that Aryaisha “ She looked him over again before deciding to play some more.

“What else has brought you to this place? I haven’t seen many lions around since I came upon these lands. It is deserted for the most part. Are you running from that past of yours, or do you really just enjoy being alone all the time?

Ary just smiled and let his main fall were it was and said, "Its just making me want to sneeze." It wasn't like it was his full mane in his face, just few locks that shifts and gets in his way but after a while it bothers him and he doesn't really know why. "Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to get some of this cut or breaded or something but then again I guess that would mean that I would stop doing this odd little dance when ever a pretty girl comes around." He smiled and did an over dramatic pose before laughing and settling back down.

He didnt react when Kakali said 'my sweet' since he wasn't sure if she was referring to him or if it was just something she normally said, he had know some who would refer to everyone as darlin', to this day he still cant figure out where they picked that word up from. "So piss poor would be a lion who likes to fight but stinks at hunting?" he asked, mixing his two examples to see how she would react.

He just smiled when she inched closer and eventually sat down right next to him, "It is nice to know that I am interesting because I would hate to be just intriguing." He looked at her sidelong with a smile in his eyes but trying his best to have a serious face, his mane in his face wasn't helping. Would she realize his play on words?

Ary had to think for a moment when she asked her last questions, how best to answer he thought to himself. "Other then my feet I guess its possible the gods brought me here, I just follow where the wind blows. I could ask the same question but I'm sure that silent call of hidden secrets calls to you." He paused again before answering the second question. "Alone or not alone that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer desolation, or to take arms against a sea of isolation, and by opposing end it?"

She could get behind that, somethings some of her longer facial hairs decided to tickle at her nose making her want to sneeze as well. Though, the idea of a braided mane made her snort a little. He would look like one of the demons she had caught sight of long ago. "Heh. I guess. " He was certainly amusing, if not slightly full of himself. Though, he wouldn't be much fun otherwise.

Yes, that was exactly what she meant! Grinning broadly she nodded before clapping her paws together. "A lion that fights anything, can't hunt and can never make friends... or at least not well." Oh how well she knew the idea. Hell, she was talking about herself for the most part, though she was rather skilled as a hunter. Hell, if she was bad at that she might as well be dead...

Staying silent for several seconds she slowly pieced together his sentence before laughing suddenly as she caught onto his tricks. He certainly was gifted with words. Hell, more so than her. Maybe she could learn a trick or two from him.

"You really have a gift. " She meant that as she smiled at him watching as he began to speak again.

Now he had lost her. She got the following the wind but when he broke out into a poetic speech, she was gone. What was it that he was talking about. She wanted to know. Moving her paw a little towards his she looked at him, confused before asking.

"What is it that you mean?"

Ary smiled at her little snort. It was cute even if he didn't know what it was about. He wasn't sure how to respond, or even if he should respond, to her first comment so he just smiled and answered the second thing she said. "Well lets see I try not to fight if I can avoid it, I'm a decent hunter, and I keep meeting interesting creatures, much like your self. I wonder where that would put me in that list." He smiled, Ary really did enjoy talking to Kakali.

"My twisting ways aren't a gift but a capability." He smiled and laughed lightly at yet again twisting his words slightly. He didn't really know why but using words that meant the same thing always amused him. He was sure Kakali would figure out how he played with the again. It wasn't quite right but it still worked.

At first Ary wasn't sure what part the lioness didn't understand then it dawned on him that his poetic speech, which confused him somewhat, was what she meant. He didn't say anything for a moment then did his best to explain what he meant. "Well basically what I meant was, is it better to suffer loneliness or to fight it and," he paused, Ary really didn't know how else to rephrase the last part since it was already pretty clear but he tried anyway, "by actively dealing with others end your personal loneliness."

Ary looked down sheepishly, "Yeah sometimes my mouth runs away with me. Basically I am neither, I'm not running away from my past but I also don't fully enjoy being alone all the time even if there are moments I like it." He finally and clearly answered Kakali's question and this time he skipped all the poetry.
