Im working on a novel, how does this sound for the prologue?
When she was a young girl, she was afraid of the monsters under her bed. Now she's a teenager, and afraid of the monsters in her school. Their eyes lock onto her, and their laughter echo's in her eardrums. She has to deal with it every day. She keeps telling herself it's all a nightmare, but this nightmare is reality.
