Welcome to Carry On, Supernatural!

This guild is dedicated to all things relating to the CW show, Supernatural. This thread is set up to explain guild to new members. Remember to read all of these!

This guild is set up for all Gaian fans of Supernatural. No matter who you are or what kind of fan you are, we at Carry On accept any and all of you! The staff here is very interested in keeping this a fun, active group. So remember to post and read the announcements, and just love the show like the rest of us!

Rules

Carry On's general rules are quite basic. So don't worry about having a long list to figure out! (But we do reserve the right to add rules as we see fit!)

As a British fan, I felt the need to take it upon myself to post this as I'm having a ********' heart attack over here, having possibly read a major spoiler which I didn't want to know.

FOR NEW EPISODES THAT HAVE BEEN AIRED
So something awesome's happened and you want to talk about it, that's cool! HOWEVER please bear in mind not everyone is on the same timescale as you are. For example, the UK fans don't get season five til January and I'm pretty sure there's more than just me on here.

There will usually be an episode discussion post up, feel free to post your comments in there.
If one hasn't been made, feel free to make it but make sure the subject line is the episode title and number of the episode - not what you're so excited about - and it has a clear SPOILER label.

GOOD: 5x10 ABANDON ALL HOPE [SPOILERS]
BAD: OMG WHAT ABOUT THAT DEAN/CAS KISS IN 5X10?!

If you are discussing them in another post in reference to previous events, please white them out for the first 48 hours after the episode. This is a simple process, shown below with a magnificent MS Paint diagram.

These are a different kettle of fish. For episodes which haven't been aired, please create a seperate post - not too many though, if you have a bunch from the same episodes, add it to the same post - and CLEARLY LABEL SPOILERS FOR UPCOMING EPISODES.

IN CONCLUSION...
Please be courteous, think of the foreign fans and hell, the domestic fans who've missed the episode for whatever reason. Think about how excited you were seeing these things in the episode for the first time, don't take that away for the rest of us.

And remember, when in doubt, white it out.

Contests & Guild Mule

Contests in the guild are run by the crew. Suggestions for contest are welcome from anyone, and you, of course, may get credit for setting up the idea.

These are all of course Supernatural themed, as this is a Supernatural guild.

Some contests may offer prizes. These prizes are determined on the amount of gold the Guild Mule has.

The Guild Mule is me, the Holy Treasurer. Donations are happily accepted through the trading system on Gaia. The guild crew is more eager to get gold to me than to donate it on our front page. Why? Because that gold can only be used for expanding, not contest prizes.

So to donate to the entire guild, send a gold trade to the guild mule.

Advertise the Guild!

Yes. Pimp us out. ;D Your signature can be a good place to do that. Obviously you don't have to, but this is here in case you want to, and you're one of those people that fail with links.

You can take the link to the picture and the guild and set it up in your own way as well. This is just a bbc guide and an idea of how to set it up, put simply. And when I say "take the link to the picture", I do mean you don't have to upload the picture yourself and go through that. I have absolutely no intention of taking it down from my photobucket. I don't mind sharing the link.

This right here is if you want it to have the link be the word "Join" and then the guild's banner underneath.

Guild Staff

These are the crew members. They keep things in order and make sure the place stays organized and fun. This group deletes and edits posts, discusses new guild activities in the staff room, organizes major contests, runs the Fandom Factions (for info, see below), and runs me, the guild mule.

So remember to listen to them! They are in charge around here. These members are:

FANDOM FACTIONS- an overview and guide

What are fandom factions?!

They are like little clubs, basically created to stir up some competitive spirit amongst fellow fans, as well as unite us in our harmless fun.

Oh, okay. So, what factions are there?

All of the factions right now are based on a character in the show (and perhaps their actor/actress, as well, though that’s up to the individual factions themselves to decide). There are five main sections currently:

TEAM B.U.R.G.E.R.
BAD-a**, UNDENIABLY RUGGED, GOOFY and EXTREMELY ROCKIN`
Lead by a walking blasphemy and Danielle Chase, this faction is for Dean lovers and admirers.

TEAM G.E.N.I.U.S.
The GLORIFICATION of the EDUCATED NERDY, INTENSELY UNBRIDLED SAMMY
Lead by Beaucoups of Blues, this faction is for- yep, you guessed it- Sam fans.

TEAM B.A.M.F.
BECAUSE this ANGEL is a MARVELOUS FRIEND
Lead by no_eight, this is the faction for Castiel addicts.

TEAM F.E.N.C.E.D.
FOR the EMBRACING of NEVER COMMITTING to EITHER DIRECTION
Lead by Indulge [In Words], this is the faction for those fickle but awesome people who’d rather not choose between the three above.

MINOR CHARACTER FACTIONS
Lead by Teekaymon, these factions can be created by ordinary users just like you. The sky's the limit with these ones, guys!

Wow. How do I join?

Well, every one of the main factions should have some sort of thread where you can enlist. Pick the one you want, and do so! If you’re having a hard time deciding, feel free to PM Indulge [in words] and she’ll try to help you decide. (and no, she won’t just tell you to join hers, even if it is really really cool.) We’ll talk about the minor ones when they actually start to exist. Joining a minor faction is done by simply posting so in the chosen minor faction thread.

How many factions can I be in?

At this point in time, you can be in TWO of the four main factions. Feel free to mix and match. You CAN be in F.E.N.C.E.D. and still belong to one of the other factions as well. (We’ll just say you sympathize more with that character than the rest. We promise, its fine!) You can be in as many minor factions as your heart desires.

Can I leave a faction once I join it?

Sure! Just drop a note in the same thread you enlisted in, saying you’re leaving. No worries, we won’t hate you for it. (Same goes for the minor factions, just tell them you're out and you're out.)

WAIT DO YOU SAY CONTESTS?

YEAH! We want to hold contests between the factions. The details of all future contests have not been discussed yet, but if you have any ideas, drop them off in our suggestion thread!

That all sounds fine! But what the heck is with the names?!
