Brother
She smiled “You know… it’s funny but I just lost my train of thought” she dismissed it with a shrug of her tiny shoulders, as she chewed her lower lip.
Now I smiled, “Kagome…?” I found myself speaking, with out running the word’s past my brain first, I saw my hand reach out to her, I felt my self embrace her, and a hot whisper pass my lip’s, before I knew what I was doing. “… I love you…”. My stomach sank and my heart raced, we were embraced for what seemed forever, but still when we broke apart, it was too soon for me, I craved more. My chest felt heavy, but I different weight from before. Kagome’s faced colored as she looked away.
“InuYasha…” she took a few steps back. “I’m sorry but…” she paused and started chewing her lip again, “but I think of you more a…” she paused, looking for the right word “a brother”. All around me my world shattered, “I’m sorry” she whispered as she walked away. My knee’s found ground, and hot tear’s spilled. I had lost my heart, and now I didn’t know what to do. Kagome has been with me, since I re-started my life, and I owed it all to her, then I found myself wishing she’d never of woken me.
