Silverkeep Palace lies at the center of Merwynth City's inner district. It is home to the two royal families of Palaise, the Elves, and the Humans. Few but the royal families and their loyal servants and advisers have ever set foot inside. Rumors have circulated around the city communities that although the outer walls are made of pure marble, the inside must be solid gold, with furniture made of pure cherrywood and coated with the most valuable silver that anyone could imagine. Only those lucky enough to be invited inside know the truth.
In reality, the walls are covered with ornate mural paintings, and the furniture is only oak, but still, it is the finest art and the finest oak that any could possibly find. Though one who set inside may be expecting gold, he would not be disappointed, as there are scarcely more breathtaking sights in all of Palaise.
