Annice Hanne

Mini master chef with dreams of someday creating the ultimate Sweet Poffin for her Pokemon, Annice runs a small cafe on the side with her Miltank when she's not showing her flair for all things cute on the Contest stage. She's quite skilled in the kitchen, and quite creative as well. Her only downfall in the bakery? She never keeps a recipe... Preferring to simply create on whim, she's never really made the same thing twice. So far it hasn't ended in too many disasters (she's actually a really good cook), although it is a bit hard to run a cafe without a menu...

On stage, her Pokemon take center stage as she draws out every charm of her adorable team. She has a close relationship with her Pokemon, and helps them bring out their full potential. And no, she hasn't bribed the judges with sweets, although its said her cookies are to die for.

Her Pokemon are all nicknamed after cooking terms for desserts.

Lou Isidora

Originally from Hoenn's desert region, Lou moved to Kanto just recently. He may seem imposing, but Lou is actually a fairly nice and gentle guy. He's still fairly new to the contest system, but don't let that fool you. Lou is a master of Tough. Can't get much more of a hard climate to live in than the desert, so both Lou and his Pokemon are honed to their prime.

Strangely enough, he is a huge fan of classical music, and incorporates that into his and his team's training. Its a rather strange sight to behold his bristly team training to the background music of string quartets and piano concertos...

Whatever his quirks in training, Lou has done an excellent job in preparing both his team and himself for the spotlight.

Now if only we can convince him to ditch the parka...

Eva Tylar

Eva is rather traditional, and enjoys quiet pastimes like reading, playing chess, and studying pretty much anything. She is oftentimes found backstage reading anything she can get her hands on, from ancient tomes to travel brochures. Her quiet personality doesn't seem to fit in too well with the Contest scene, however, once on stage, she is a calculating opponent, and enjoys showing the world what her Pokemon can do through hard work and lots of studying.

She perhaps seems a little distant at times, not really one to form friendships outside of her Pokemon and a few close acquaintances. However, she is kind to those starting out with Contest, and is always willing to give a few pointers to newbies.

Growing up with a pokemon gym battler for a father he was pushed to fight the gyms, but now he loves contests and strives for the Master Rank in his home region of Kanto after taking 4th place at Hoenn. Cool contests is what he's about with his quick thinking and stunning combinations he utilizes everything he has.

On Stage Keith goes from a silent type person to one of the most social people you'll meet, making sure to keep a calm mind and not try anything stupid. He loves his pokemon and shows it on stage by revealing their talent.

Alice is a rather interesting girl. She adores Pokemon, and strives to make sure that they get proper treatment from their trainers. In her free time, she volunteers at a local Pokemon shelter, where abandoned and lost Pokemon are taken care of until they are found new homes. She hates the idea of seeing anyone sad, be it Pokemon or person. As such, she strives to be as cheerful and happy as she can be, and tries to help others do the same.

She is kind-hearted, but a little unknowledgeable about the real world. She sees things as simpler than they are, and, perhaps, that's a better way of approaching life.

On the contest stage, she lets her own love for her Pokemon shine, as she lets them do their own moves of their own choice, issuing no orders, only standing and watching as her Pokemon perform. As such, her contests may not end up in success all the time, but she has more fun than perhaps anyone else that has graced a contest stage.

Ruben is a self-proclaimed pirate. While he loves being on his boat, and has sailed all around the world, he has never pillaged a village, never hijacked a fleet, never even had a buried treasure. But he's a pirate all the same.

Just for looks he wears his eyepatch, so it has a tendency to swap eyes sometimes, depending on his mood.

He's boisterous and outgoing, and loves being out on the beach. He's quite tan because of this.

However, he does stand being indoors for the sake of contests. His goal is to gather a pirate crew and show off in front of the ninja's of Kanto, but it doesn't look like that goal is anywhere near completion. His only loyal minions are his Pokemon, whom he trusts with his life on those long voyages he takes in between contest challenges.

He strives to bring every bit of macho might out from his Pokemon, and, as such, reigns as Hoenn's Tough contest leader.

Floren Koresh


Floren had been making artwork on city walls for as long as he can remember. His drawings and scribbles turned from crude chalk drawings, to his discovered joy for spray paint. His hobby got him in plenty of trouble as a kid, and so his parents tried to get him into Pokemon as a diversion.

This didn't interest him as much as they would have hoped, but Floren discovered that contests were less dangerous than battles, and he'd have time before and after his performances to do his doodles. And so, all that was left was to build a team.

Floren took up the challenge of raising a team of all the same Pokemon, wanting to prove that even three of the same Pokemon could have very different approaches to contests. With that challenge in mind, what better Pokemon to choose than Smeargle? Its artistic abilities rival his own, and he had the freedom of choosing literally any move for his contest arsenal.

The only problem?

He had to travel around the world to find and teach each Smeargle every move.

So Floren vanished from home for many years, setting out without even so much as a starter Pokemon to give him some help. Frantic, his parents had just about given up on Floren's return when he showed up back in town, three Smeargle following along behind him.

He never did tell anyone how exactly he obtained the moves known by his Smeargle, however...
