Students of all types are welcome to share experiences here. Elementary school kiddies, middle school teeny-boppers, high school fish, and college zombies all have similar stories to tell of crazy teachers, late-night study sessions, drama, joy, and the ruler of our lives, grades.
Tell us a little about where you go to school, your favorite teacher, the teacher whose head you could pull off. We want to know about your best class and your worst prison. Are you a straight-A student or do you like to mix things up a little with B's, C's, D's, and the oh-so-pretty F? How do you relax after six hours of homework? Does your school do anything cool? Got any survival tips for the newbies? Share all, or all you're comfortable with.
Rules: 1. Above all else: Follow Gaia ToS! 2. Keep cursing to a minimum. 3. This a place to discuss school. If you want to talk about work, make a new thread.

Greed is for amateurs. I'm a full time college student at one of the OSU campuses. This is my third year of school and my third college. I went to Oklahoma Christian University for three semesters and I studied English Writing and Journalism. I then transferred to University of Central Oklahoma for a semester where I studied Photojournalism. I'm now here for Information Technology and I'm sticking with this degree.
I graduate on August 20, 2010, and I'll have my associates degree.
Right now I am taking sixteen credit hours of class and I'm about to kill myself with homework. On Friday night I did six hours of homework.
For the newbies to college, I pray that you get a good roommate. When buying stuff to move into the dorms, make sure you get a three-hole punch, a stapler, and scissors. Also, have a reliable jump drive. A digital camera can't hurt anything, either.

*sigh* I have a year and a half left of high school and am struggling to find out what collages/universities I should go to. I want one close to home but then again I don't at the same time....
Eh...And I'm trying hard not to completely fail everything... ninja

Greed is for amateurs. One of my InfoTech teachers refuses to use the computer for tests and is incapable of keeping up with his grades. Right now I'm making an F in there, but I've turned in most of my work. It's because he hasn't graded it yet. I won't know what I've made in there until the middle of break. I do not like this.
I'm passing all other classes, though, which is a good thing.

Greed is for amateurs. My final grades are in! I got an A in Algebra and I thought the highest I could make was an 88. I also got an A on a ten page paper that was the only assignment in the class. Somehow I managed to salvage a B from my info. security class when I should have only made a C. I'm not complaining, though.
So all told: Ethics - B Algebra - A Science Special Project - A Principles of Information Security - B Fundamentals of Information Technology - B Hardware Systems and Support - B
I saved my GPA! It went from a 2.8 to a 3.4.

I managed a 100 on the last test before the final in my Database class this semester! Maybe I will get an A in there...
