My fiance and his family are coming over tomorrow to take me to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. I'm very happy. I don't get to see Quala very often. We live 100 miles apart right now.

I'm home! Oh, how I missed my not-deaf family and my warm little dog and my comfy-cozy bed and technology... Glorious technology!
I went to Arkansas with Quala's family for Thanksgiving. While I had a blast (quite literally!) learning how to shoot a gun and the food was edible and I acquired a new Bible, this was not a good trip. Home has never felt better.

This day has been almost perfect!
1. I got a 95% on an exam this morning.
2. I finally got a job!
--They needed someone for nights and weekends. That's when I can work!
--Their nights and weekends needed to add up to 17-ish hours a week. PERFECT!
3. I finally got the stupid yeast rolls of fail to turn out halfway decent.
The only way it could be better is if I was in Edmond right now. I'd be with my fiance, all my friends, and I'd be at an all-night LAN party with pizza and soda and free copies of games that I absolutely love... Like Age of Mythology.

I couldn't sleep last night so I called my fiance while he was at the LAN party. I wasn't expecting him to answer and was fully prepared to leave a voice message. He answered! He stopped gaming to answer the phone for me! Granted, the call lasted for less than a minute, but still.
And even greater than that: My dad is talking to his adopted sisters again. He hasn't spoken to them in almost five years. They're my age and they accused my grandpa of something he didn't do. All sorts of family drama. I started talking to them again a year and a few months ago. Dad talked to them on Thanksgiving. He even held the eldest one's baby. Mom said he wasn't ready to leave when it was time.

I thought my jump drive was gone but it wasn't! It fell out of my pocket and ended up under a stool in the living room.
And my little sister is now in National Honor Society.
And my fiance is coming down this weekend as well as after his finals are done next week.
And I got a 100% on an exam this morning.
Life, I'm thinking, couldn't get much better.

My fiance made it home safe. One thousand miles in one day with no major mishaps.
I have my wedding dress (see post in What's New for details).
Quala and I talked about our theme and have decided to adjust it a little bit. From a renaissance wedding to a nerd wedding. Much easier to find outfits for everyone involved.
