So to tide myself over until HGSS comes to the states, I went out and bought an old Silver version to play through.
Back in the day with my long-dead Crystal version, Whitney put me through hell. Her and that damn Miltank. I spent hours trying to defeat her, but only became more and more frustrated. (though I did manage to finally beat her, but only by a hair)
This time, though, I was ready. I went in there, and first time around, I crushed her. Obliterated her. It was amazing. There are few times I remember being that happy playing a game.
So I made a thread about it. :/

Vixanz no idea who whitney is D: though i have heard of the name, lol. :3 I remember when i finally beat dialga in mystery dungeon. <3 took me long enough. Oh god I remember that!!! I love that fight! I got the song that plays during it on my profile playlist, song number 48! I also have the theme of the Sky Tower from Red/Blue Rescue team, song number 49!

Vixan, you are obviously new to the Pokemon universe. Johto was a huge step in Pokemon's evolution into becoming a competitive game.

Well actually, I've been in competitive battling for a year and 3 weeks now, rofl, but I've never known much about the games behind Hoenn.(has sapphire) Though I do have the japanese of soul silver but I can't read it so >< I'm not exactly sure where that is either :3

My only triumph was beating all 8 gyms; at that age I didn't know how to get to the elite 4...
Whitney is annoying because of her cute hair! The girl hero was ugly!
I remember when I hatched a shiny Magby (from the day-care people too!). The sad thing is that I didn't know what shinies were at the time!

The Tree trunk of the Gameboy advanced and ds pokemon games...but red (Original) is the roots. Yes i respect the classics. I've been playing since i was 7. My Triumph was the first on of me and my friends and family to beat the elite four. Worst part was i though i would beginning next to lance trapped to fight him forever so i reset. so its a losing win. biggrin crying I've completed my red and gold pokedex also. I reset red and my brother wiped my gold crying crying crying crying crying

I loved Gold and Silver. I had Gold and played through it a couple times with each different starter. The best moment for me in those games was that I caught the lvl 70 Lugia at the end with a regular pokeball when he was about mid health and no status condition. It took me like a turn to do this. I remember the whole thing and that was like 5 years ago. Ah good times, good times.

The sad thing is that I didn't know what shinies were at the time! ditto. i had no idea it was shiny. oh ya i caught my fist ever shiny in that game! i remember it like it was yesterday because it scared the liveing caterpie out of me.... it was slowpoke... I can remember the exact square i was at i encounterd slow poke but it was odd it made my screen flash and it was dark colored. i thought i broke the game i screamed and threw a ultra ball, easy catch, i wanted to investigate since the next slowpoke was regular pink so i put it in pokemon staideum 2 no change it was purple and fought and fained like a normal slow poke same weakness and resistence too.... so i traind it like it was my own (because it was) but now heres my stupidity oh ya i get stupider stare I made the connection that the red gyarados flashed the same way so it dawned on me OMG YOU WERE FOCED TO EVOLVE TOO!!!!.... wait..... dose that mean..... YOU HAVE A BABY FORM???????? OMG!!!!!!!! so ya i blew off 2 hours of my life trying to hatch or find a baby form of slowpoke and to this day no luck @_@ GOD i was dumb back then xD
