Apparently, a fellow from Japan (WHY IS IT ALWAYS JAPAN?! gonk ) went and married a character from a DS dating sim called Love Plus. You think I am joking? This actually happened. I don't think Gaia has a Facepalm Emoticon, so I give you this picture.  DISCUSS: What? How would sex work? Do you think there are guys regreting not marying Shiori Fujisaki? (From Tokimeki Memorial)

I've known about things like this for a while. It's... surprisingly common to want to marry a fictional character.
Heck, I heard that someone had a crush on a Pokemon.
So, yeah, I'm not surprised. XD
As for sex, well, I'm guessing they have a healthy sex life. After all, only a hand is needed-okay, stopping now. O_O;

I could see wanting a fictional character to be real so that you could marry them or be bffs with them or something >.> But not like seriously, just like thinking "omg wouldnt it be sooo fun to marry Voldemort irl???" (>.> that actually would be disturbing bc its Voldemort, but whatevs) but actually marrying them? Thats not normal XD Did they like...get a legit marriage license? Or just say "Oh hey btw we're married!"? Because anyone can do that and it doesnt mean anything.

In his defense, Love Plus is more interactive than most dating sims; being on the DS, you actually talk to the game, hold hands via touch screen, etc.
