 'Snow...'What was it about the crystallization of water and its subsequent fall from the sky that always captivated him? He hated the cold, and things that symbolized it even more so, and yet, here it was and he could not find it in his heart to despise it. It made the world so still, so calm, so quiet and so beautiful, all at once. Yes it heralded the end of a year and the death of many things, but they would rise up once more, or be planted anew. Life sprung up, even in the harshest of conditions. It was nearing the time of the year where everyone came closer together, which though he was thankful for, meant the warmth of the sun would not fight back the biting cold of the wind. Flight was, for him, for the most part over. It was uncommon for a Modiphim to let something so minor ground him or her, however he hated the adjustments he had to make to maintain solid flight in these conditions. The meadow he had come to rest in was open and spacious, sparse cover was to be found to hide from the elements but he could suffer for now, just to see the falling snow.

Her paws settled in the blanket of pure, white snow. She shuddered as a chill ran up her spine, the black flames dancing around her paws dimming. The water was dousing them, and the 'Daeva found it slightly painful. She walked along, the puffy black end of her tail sweeping her pawprints away. Her blood red eyes focused on a form ahead. It was dark, but not black. It was wearing clothes and had enormous, feathery wings sprouting from its back. 'A modiphim?' she thought to herself with some curiousity, walking towards him cautiously.
Ayashii came within a yard of him, folding her own wings down to her side. "Greetings."

His head lazily turned toward her and a soft smile curled up on his face and he bowed his head to her. He, unlike other Modiphims, had no real quarrel with the Daeva. So long as they did not abruptly attack someone under his protection or himself, he was willing to talk and work with them on a great many things.
"Greetings to you as well miss, please, come join me. The snow, while not my favorite thing in the world, always awes me and it's something to be enjoyed with company."
He motioned with a brief gesture of his wing to the ground beside him. He could tell that the snow was harder on her than it was for him, but we all had our trials to endure.
"What brings you out this way?"

Ayashii nodded and walked to his side. Her paws stung, but it couldn't be helped. "I'm not the biggest fan of snow myself," she replied, digging her claws into the snow. Her black flames seemed to be dimming more and more with every passing moment. She flipped her hair, letting out a sigh. "I honestly don't know. I'm just another wandering 'Daeva," she stated with a shrug. She lifted her gaze from her paws, looking at the 'Phim. "And you? If you don't like snow, what brought you here?" She asked. She was far too curious for her age.

He gave a slow shrug and looked to her once more.
"The cold air grounds me, simply because I find flying without thermals to be a huge hassle. While I'm not lazy, I don't find much use in laboring to get to a location a day earlier, my paws carry me almost as well."
He took a moment and buried his muzzle in the snow, then grinned as he flicked it up towards the Daeva, sending a shower of snow her way. One thing he did like about the snow however, is that it was great fun to throw at someone else.

Ayashii nodded as he spoke. Subsequently, she found herself reflexively yelping as snow flew in her face. She hopped backwards, rubbing the water out of her eys. She opened them, a her lips twisting into a smirk. "So you want to play, huh?" she asked, lashing her tail. She crouched down, facing him, then swung her tail down at the snow, smacking a good amount in the direction of the 'Phim.

He blinked in surprise as he was blanketed in a fair amount of snow, his eyes narrowing briefly as he smirked and then in turn used his much bushier and larger tail and threw up a small snowstorm as it lashed along the ground, kicking up snow everywhere. In the swirling white however, was his real attack and he sprung at her from where he was sure she last was.
"Oh... I was going to be kind and keep my tail at bay..."

Ayashii closed her eyes and turned away as flakes of snow flew around indiscriminately in the air around her. When she finally found herself able to open her eyes, she saw the Modiphim's form coming towards her... fast. Her pupils dialated as he crashed into her and she found herself in the snow. "Hmph," she scowled. "That was a cheap shot." She writhed away and stood up, unfurling her wings. She crouched low, her wings hanging inches above the snow. She beat her wings rapidly, snow blowing in the modiphim's direction. She never knew she would be having this much fun with a 'Phim, with anyone at that.

Even a Modiphim was capable of a cheap shot, although he wasn't proud of it, it was all in good fun. As her wings beat and kicked up more snow he smiled. He was well aware of where she was and so he turned and hid his snout inside the jacket he wore and then started, with his hinds, digging up snow and kicking it back at her.
"Come on! You've got to do better than that!"

Ayashii hissed as snow flew at her, evading it by hopping to the side. She then took to the sky, beating her wings a few times. She hovered over the ground for a few moments before flying up higher. Once she was about twenty feet above the ground, she swooped down towards the 'Phim, crashing into him and rolling along on the snow for several feet. "I know I can do much better."

He grunted as they rolled and tumbled through the snow, though he deliberately set up his wings for injury and scooped up snow as they rolled, when finally at a point he dropped a great deal of snow upon the Daeva, stopping the roll.
He winced in pain as he broke a few feathers, two of which promptly started bleeding. After that though, he didn't really seem to care at all and returned to assaulting the Daeva with snow.

"Oof," she remarked as a mound of snow buried her. An agitated look crossed her face for a mere instant before she pulled her head out and smirked. Within seconds she found more snow coming her way and she ducked behind the snow mound, firing more snow at the 'Phim with her tail. She raised her head only once to peer over the snow mound, only to have snow hit her in the forehead. She shook it off, wondering how long this would continue. Though she had to admit, she did enjoy the light play.

He smirked at her and then bowed his head before speaking.
"Do ye surrender?"
He awaited a response from her, his wings fanning out around him to let the blood run off before it froze to his feathers. If he did not, it would be an unfortunate and annoying mess to clean out later.

Ayashii lifted her head and gazed at him from behind the mound. She sighed and smiled. "Fine, 'Phim," she spoke, lunging over the snow mound and landing neatly in front of him. "You win... This time," she chuckled, batting him lightly in his face with a paw. She flipped her hair once again, folding her wings down tightly by her sides. "I'm Ayashii. It's a pleasure tio meet you."

He smiled at her and shook his feathers once more before pulling his wings to his sides.
"Miss Ayashii, tis a pleasure to meet you. I am Blaze Starwynd, but please... Just call me Blaze."
He flourished into what could only be called a bow and then rose once more to his feet, a bit of snow remained on the tip of his nose from just how low he went to finish the bow.
"I haven't had that much fun in some time, I thank you."
