It was less than a week since Rhine and Keeta had been married. Everything was perfect- fairy tale ending. Then Rhine received news from his mother. He wished he had, had an umbrella because that old statement when it rains it pours was so very true.
His beloved sister was in trouble! No memory and a new body to boot.
Rhine paced for a moment. He was unsure what to do. He had two families and they both needed him. But, if the Island had a hold on his sister like his mother said then he needed to go now.
He scribbled a few things onto a piece of paper. It was barely legible and made little to no sense at all. What did stand out was be back very soon and I love you. P.S: Hug the tots for me.
He glanced back at the candlelit dining room where he'd prepared a meal for them. He sighed and vanished.

Keeta had returned to their island hideaway with the children to find this very perplexing note from Rhine. Slightly worried and confused, she transported herself and the children back to the apartment above the cafe, via the mirror. She spent the rest of the evening wondering where he was, but convinced herself that wherever he was, he would be back by morning and he would give a good explanation.
One morning...two mornings...three mornings...Not a word not a phone call. Every morning she woke and he wasn't there she felt more sick to her stomach, and she couldn't attribute it to morning sickness. Something was really wrong. She tried calling his cell, talking to the cafe employees, everything she could think of. Even the family on the island seem to be unresponsive. Cassara and Kaida were nowhere to be found, despite living in the same building. It was all very strange.
On the fourth morning, with no word, Keeta decided to invite herself over to the island and find out what was going on. If anyone would know something, it would be Ceres. With great apology and little explanation, Keeta dropped the kids off at Jiao'lan's with promises to make the time up to her in the future. She packed a backpack with things she viewed as necessities and transported herself to Cere's living room.

Keeta had seen the living room before when Ceres' call it a disaster and that was just a couple of toys here and there and perhaps a plate of food that had traveled from the kitchen. However, today the word disaster held true. Every door in the house had been closed. Leaving only what was left of the living room and hall exposed. Furniture was overturned and broken. Windows busted. If they were possible it looked like a hurricane had come through the homes living room.
The house was empty. Not even a sound could be heard considering there was always some gadget going from somewhere in the house because of Tinker.
There were however a great deal of noise outside coming from the stables.

Keeta looked around and shuddered at what she saw. It was like a warzone, minus the bodies. Things were strewn everywhere in what was normally Ceres' tidy home. Instinctively, she placed a hand on her stomach, as if to protect the barely developed child within from the forces that had done this.
All the doors were closed, which if what Ceres had told her once held true, meant no one was home. It was a rule that when someone was home their door remained open. She cast around, looking for any sign that someone was there, but found nothing. After searching a while, her ears picked up the sounds of noises from outside, towards the stables. Cautiously, she peered outside, through one of the broken windows. When she could not immeditely see anything, she slowly ventured outside, all her senses on alert.

"Easy," said a male voice.
"Gentle," said a female voice.
"Steady," screeched another voice.
"That's my a**!!" whickered a male horse.
A load thump. "Fiddle sticks," came another female voice.
"SHUT IT," bellowed the male voice from previous.
Wood splintering as the horse kicked down a stable door. <********," swore yet another female.
"Deceitful creatures," the horse whickered again.
"Mercy me!" Came Ceres' voice. The only voice in the mix that was definable over all the clattered.
"Damnit Natalia," came the voice of many.
"I am not who you think I am," came the horse again as she bucked once more trying to make space so she could fly away.
"YOU ARE SO IN FOR IT," Rhine and Cassara said in unison as they shifted into dragons.
"First the house, now the stables," Ceres cried as she looked at the pieces of what was left of the building. Two dragons and two Equines was to much...

Keeta approached the source of the din carefully, only making out bits and pieces of the words said. She closed her eyes and breathed a silent prayer of thanks when she heard the voices of those she cared about. Cautiously she moved to where she could see what was happening. It seemed Rhine, Ceres, Cassara and others were attempting to subdue an equine. She had heard them call for Natalia, but she didn't see the child among the larger bodies of the adults and equine. Deciding she would be in the way, she chose to remain where she was until things calmed down and she could demand an explaination.

"Careful," Ceres cried as she saw a large clawed paw rest on the back of the female equine.
"Now stay put," Rhine snorted as she swung his tail around and wrapped Natalia up. With his sisters help they seemed to have a handle on the wild one.
"A fine mess," Tinker said as she did her best to help her mother into a sitting possession.
"This island is capable of much worse," Ceres sighed. "We cannot all remain in these positions while we hope for her to calm down."
Cassara's tongue darted out for a split second. "Bring out the ******** violin. Hell, s**t don't they say music calms a savage beast."
"Whose the savage?" Snorted Natalia who continue to struggle.
Sky took a couple steps forward and tried to press his muzzle to hers. If force wasn't working perhaps comfort. They had after all tricked her into coming here.
"I'll get my violin," Perian called out. She was already heading back to the house.

Keeta stepped out from her vantage point, as Perian approached, hoping the centaur would stop long enough to at least give her a vauge idea of what was going on. Whatever it was....something was clearly wrong. This had to be the source of Rhine's disappearance. If Perian didn't stop....well she would just have to go in there and hope for the best. Damnit if she was going to walk away just when she had found her husband, even if he was occupied with keeping a wild equine at bay.
Her hand found her belly again, as she imagined what one of those hooves could do. Setting her jaw, she promised herself she would not get within striking distance of the equine's limbs. Taking a deep breath, she waited as Perian quickly approached.

"No time for idle thought," Perian huffed as she approached Keeta. "We need all hands on deck." She grabbed Keeta and dragged her up to the house.
-- Back at the Stables --
Ceres patted Tinker loving on the hand. "Thank you." Her world was slowly spinning out of control and she didn't like it one bit. She did not like the fact that she couldn't undo any of this.
Tinker smiled. "I'm sure once she hears the violin she'll snap right out of it.
"I hope so," Cassara snorted. "Because if she keeps this up she'll look like a chopped up steak." She was doing her best to avoiding digging her claws into her sister however it was nearly impossible with her squirming.

"But what is going on?" she asked, sputtering and protesting as she was dragged along by Perian. It was even harder to watch Rhine get further away from her after being worried for four days. Of course, however, there was no fighting a centaur, she just hoped her sister-in-law would be gentle for the sake of the baby.
As soon as Perian slowed, Keeta stood and wrenched herself from her grip, taking up a defensive posture. Her hands were clenched and her muscles taut, ready to go what she had to. Her voice when it came, was fast and emotional.
"I'll help you, but you have to at least give me some idea what's going on, so I'm not flying blind here. I've been worried sick about my husband for four days and now I get dragged away from him while he's full dragon and trying to subdue an equine with a wild streak. No one tried to fill me in or get me involved or even tell me he was ok. I'm part of this family now and I demand to be treated like one, instead of some outsider who isn't considered when a crisis is happening. Something is clearly wrong and I want you to tell me, or so help me I am running back down there to my husband."

Perian stopped once they were standing in what was the remains of the living room. With her in it is put it into prospective how large the room actually was. She pawed at the ground with her front right hove as she stared Keeta down.
"Look, I don't know what the hell is going on with you but Rhine said its important that we don't involve you. He doesn't want you to get hurt which if you go down there is exactly what is going to happen." For proof Perian twisted just enough and lifted her hair to show where she had been trampled. "We are respecting his wishes and if you love him do the same." She snorted and took a couple steps back to let her hair back down.
"If you HAVE to stay wait in Rhine's room." She sighed. IT was all so frustrating. She wished she had time to tell Keeta everything but she was in a terrible hurry. "It should all be over soon enough..."
(I am not expecting Keeta to listen. Mater of fact I'm half expecting her to do as told and then go climb out the window. lol)

"Wha...? How...? Why wou...?" Keeta sputtered, not being able to fully form her thoughts. She was confused and frustrated. Rhine had left her for four days with barely an explaination and now he didn't want her involved in whatever was going on with the family. Was this what their marriage was going to be like?
"Look, I'm sorry you're injured and I know you are trying to protect me, but I just want to know where the hell my husband has been for four days!" she yelled, tears surfacing. Keeta mirrored Perian, taking a step back and lifting her hands to her face as she continued to cry.
Was she being selfish? Was Rhine really needed in whatever was going on. Keeta knew she didn't have all the facts and that scared her. Without waiting for Perian to reply, because she knew she wouldn't get the explanation she desired, she ran down the hall to Rhine's room and threw herself on the bed.

Perian clenched her fists. She hated to be so cruel to Keeta. However, she knew that it was the only way to get her point across. Purposely she made her steps as heavy as possible as she collected the violins and headed out of the home.

"Let me go," The female equine whickered as she continued to try and buck her way out of the two dragons hold. She was frightened more than anything as she watched those around her continue to stare at her. With every movement she made her body sang. "My wings," she screeched.
"What took you so long?" Cassara growled at Perian as her tongue slipped in and out of her mouth. She ignored the protests of the wild one in her clutches. "Any longer and we'd have steaks," she mumbled. She felt it was hardly her fault- after all she couldn't help that she'd grown up with sharp talons.
"Sis, shut it," Rhine growled as he was forced to tighten the hold his tail had on the equine. They'd been going on about this for the past five minutes.
Perian rolled her eyes as she tossed the violins to their respective owners. She however, didn't give Rhine or Cassara's theirs for obvious reasons. "Just hurry the hell up so Rhine can get back to the house and tend to his wife. She's crying a river over the slightest." She huffed.
Rhine's tail loosed the slightest for a second at the mention of his wife. To his immediate displeasure he felt the hove of the female equine cut into him. He had thick skin so it wasn't deep but it still hurt like hell. "The violins," he hissed.

Keeta remained on the bed for a good five minutes, letting herself vent her frustrations through her tears. When the subsided, she sat up and glanced out the window facing the stables. There wasn't much to be seen, most of the view of the building was inturrupted by stands of trees and bushes. She clenched her jaw, knowing her husband was yards away, but supposedly inaccessable.
Why did he make her stay away? Wasn't marriage "for better, for worse?" They should be fighting their battles together, not leaving one half to suffer with worry....Keeta felt rebellion stir within her. She should be with him? What was keeping her? The words of her sister-in-law? It wasn't like Rhine had personally said that to her. In fact, he had left her with very little direction. And who's to say whether Perian had misunderstood his wishes? If he got mad at her for coming, let him be mad. At least he would know she cared. Besides, then they would be even. She had pleanty to be mad about herself...
Resolved, Keeta deliberatly made her way out of the house and back down to the stables. The expression she wore dared someone to try and prevent her from getting to her destination.

What members of the family could raised their violins. With heavy hearts they began to play. Though they were brilliant the tune was hardly up lifting- it clearly spoke of their loss. Though they did not have sheet music they did not miss a beat.
The music had an effect on Natalia but it as not the soothing affect they had hoped for. A pain shot through her head causing her to rear up. A violent scream erupted from deep with in her as Cassara's talons cut into ********!" Cassara spat out the moment she felt the hot liquid touch her scales. She took a quick couple of steps back. She eyed Natalia as she watched her. Fully expecting her to bolt despite her brothers current hold she was trying to predict her next move.
Ceres watched in horror as she was left helpless. Was there nothing she could do to calm her daughter- to make her remember who she was?
"I've got one last idea," Ayshia said as she tossed her precious violin to the ground. She gave her wife one last look that said it all. Tears streamed down her face. "This will hold her and be a lot less painful. Work your miracles and bring her home," with that she bravely marched up to the equine who was still in mid prance and wrapped her arms around her.
It was within minutes that Ayshia formed into a massive tree. Parts of Rhine, Cassara, and Natalia were its captives. It was as if the tree and its captives had been there for years.
Everyone made a collected circle of glances.
"Way to go sis," Cassara rolled her eyes. She knew that her sister couldn't hear her. She was trapped with in the tree- swallowed by her demons and forced to face them.
"Doesn't look like I'll be hurrying up any time soon," Rhine grumbled. He didn't struggle because he knew it was pointless- and also he did not want to harm the tree that was his sister.
"Why?" Natalia cried out. With the exception of very few minutes via her head and legs and tips of her wings she could not move. She tried to struggle but it was pointless. "He'll come for me."
Hopeless, Ceres sunk into the grass.
