I just started recording a band this week. I need a new drive. suckers barely have enough to pay me though.

I learned like, five new Bowerbirds songs in the past 3 days while completely neglecting my school work. Also saw someone I didn't expect to see, and had an awesome time. I went rock climbing, AND started mixing a song I've been working on.

More youtube covers coming soon. Maybe some original material as well. I've been really inspired lately by positive things.

Also, THANKSGIVING BREAK JUST BEGAN. So I actually get a break from all this nonstop awesome.

Awww, I'm still about. Just trying to finish some tape pieces (building loops in cassettes shouldn't be this hard), making electronic rhythms, hitting up this lovely young lady who lives too far away, not sleeping properly, being bored of the internet, being bored, being ill, hitting up new Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor shows, visiting my sister in the hospital, looking for jobs (well, kind of) and looking at university (again).

Right now, I'm listening to Philip Glass, Spectrasoul, Penderecki, Satie and getting super inspired (mainly by the Glassworks stuff).

Mm I don't know Spectrasoul or Penderecki but I've been playing Satie (mainly gnossienes) lately just for relaxation. Sort of music you can really sink into, without it being technically difficult at all.


Distance makes me feel lonely. I've seen my girlfriend once since September. ):

Philip Glass, the person, is a t**t. Philip Glass, the musician, is a genius. If you like Glass and you like techno, you might like Basic Channel's Enforcement.

Am quite staggered that you've never heard Krzysztof Penderecki. Everyone's been ripping off or using this piece in the last few years (see: The Dark Knight and There Will Be Blood). Spectrasoul are basically great because they're a late night version of Instra:Mental. So many great singles this year!

This girl I met lives so far away that you don't even want to know. It just turns out she may be the closest thing to a soulmate that my adult brain can wrap itself around and I kind of feel like just dropping everything and moving in with her. Alas, I have to stay around London to go to school, etc. but I'm quite confident she'll still be around when I'm all done. My better judgment is out the window, at least for now.
