Personality/history: Nanashi has spent much of his adult life traveling. After an incident which got him expelled from clan Avin, he spent time wandering between worlds, using the space lanes and worldgates; as a competent mage and healer, he found ways to support himself wherever he went. He tends to fall back on the formality of his early upbringing when in strange places or new situations, but can be convinced to relax over time.
He is standoffish if he thinks he will be moving on, but when staying in one place, he settles down and connects strongly with the people and places around him. His occasionally brusque, cool manner hides genuine caring. He likes children, and he gets along with younger children well, his directness and genuine interest helping communication.
