Ever since learning how much information was given in those little file folders, Fifth had made it extremely important to read through them before actually giving the classes. By 'reading through them', he meant that he had 'hired' a tech to read them to him. By hired, he meant that he would go do menial chores around the Facility for the other from time-to-time, when he was working on more interesting things than taking out the trash or emptying out bottles of strange, unidentifiable liquids.
It was right before his next lesson, and Fifth was trying to figure out what to teach this girl... boy... girl... whatever- it was his job to figure out what to teach the child, and for some reason, he was completely unable to figure out what he could teach her. Lockpicking? No. Let's see, patience and lust, patience and lust... well, there were definitely things he could teach the kid that were lust-related, but he was positive that doing so would lose him his job. Inevitably.
Sneaking? No, that wouldn't be worth anything. Pan-handling? Of course not! This kid had a guardian who was engaged to someone who was rich, the kid didn't need to be taking money off other people. Memorization? Hmm... now that had merit; teaching the kid his method of remembering each and every place that he went and what it looked like, who lived there and all. Without being able to write it down.

Lirona walked rather confidently throughout the Facility by now, having gone there, what, five times over the past few weeks? Something like that. Anyway, the point was that the transgirl was pretty well acquainted with the structure of the building, and so didn't have the normal hesitancy and apprehension as she looked for her new skills class. She had been a little saddened to hear that she wasn't going to be taking another class from Riuvle, as she had been excited to show her how better her sewing had gotten, but no matter. Perhaps she could eventually impress this new teacher, too.
Adjusting her school bag, she located the right room, and openly the door with a light tap. When she spotted the golden Eilian in the room, a low gasp came from her throat. She had never seen anyone so... golden. It was certainly a hypnotizing effect, but she quickly brought herself back to Earth and stepped into the classroom, smiling at her teacher. "Hello there. I'm Lirona, you new student?"
Her tentacle reached happily towards the man's wings, totally stoked on the idea that it might be able to snag one of those lovely golden feathers. It was so long, too; his wings were probably super powerful! Lir blinked at her limb's movements and chuckled in mild embarrassment, gently pulling the tentacle back towards her. "S-Sorry. That kind of happens. It's probably your feathers," she said apologetically, stroking her tentacle to calm it.

Fifth flicked his tail gently when his new student entered the room, having very quickly gathered up a memory game out of a huge old pile of things, along with paper and a few scraps of pencils. When she appeared from the door he turned around and smiled brightly, walking toward the middle of his spray-painted room and dropping the stuff in the center of it.
"Lirona. Been expecting you," he said cheerily, not sounding at all upset that he had to wait in the least. "It was a challenge coming up with a skill to teach you. I mean, it was tempting to pursue a talent that your lust would help you with learning, buuut..." he winked at the girl, who was older than what he usually flirted, as well as quite a bit safer from lawsuits, before laughing softly.
At the tentacles attention, he smiled a bit, tickling it gently from underneath. "Oh is it now?" he asked, gently tugging a golden feather out of his mantle, one of the more loose ones. "Here you are then," he told the tentacle, tickling the tip of it with the feather he'd pulled, allowing the strange thing to take it as it wished.

Lirona giggled and blushed at the lust comment that was made, a little surprised that an adult had said that. She'd never met one so forward, much less a teacher. Still, she could tell he was joking, so she smiled warmly. "Well, that wouldn't have been very creative on your part, now would it? So, Mr. Fifth, what am I going to be learning today?" she asked with a bit of a bounce. Skills classes seemed to random, it was impossible to even guess what she'd leave with.
Lira giggled and wiggled when her tentacle was tickled, the limb itself flapping in a mixture of discontent and glee. When he offered the feather, the transgirl gasped happily, eying the shining plumage hungrily. Her tentacle darted out to reach it almost faster than her eyes could follow, and Lira laughed when it waved it around energetically. Wow, thanks so much, Mr. Fifth! It's the best present I've - we've - gotten in a long time!"

Fifth rolled his eyes as well as his shoulders at the idea of that having been uncreative. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure if I were you; I'm sure that I know some pretty creative things that even a lust child like yourself hasn't heard of," he replied, laughing softly and gesturing for them to be finished with that part of the conversation, a little bit worried that it might affect whether or not he kept this job, which was something that he definitely needed to do.
"Today, my dear, you will be learning how to hone your memorization skills to the point that you will be able to almost instantaneously memorize any kind of a series without even thinking about it," Fifth said with a smile as he sat on the ground and started shuffling the cards, pausing a moment to hand Lira a few pieces of paper and the shards of pencil. "Was it really? That's a pity; I would think that a girl like you would attract plenty of boys."
He started laying down the cards in rows, finishing with the deck after not a very long period of time. Each of the cards was based off of the 'number' of a playing card, and so it would be two 'blacks' of the same number and two 'reds' of the same number. "Alright, so what you're going to want to do for these first few rounds is draw out a diagram of the sections that you see here; same amount of rows, same amount of columns. Then, every time a card is flipped, you'll mark down what card it is. Simple enough for now?

Lirona blushed at her teacher's response, having not expected him to have a comeback, especially one like that. Her hand went to her mouth as she giggled reflexively, eyes shooting towards the ground. A good part of her embarrassment stemmed from the fact that part of her was still curious as to the lust-based things that Fifth could teach her, which only made her more flustered. No, no, she was here to focus on the skill she was supposed to be learning.
When she heard what said skill would be, Lira's face lit up with excitement. That sounded wonderful! She swiftly sat when Fifth did, eager to see how the lesson would progress. She smiled with just the smallest tinge of bitterness at his comment and shrugged, watching her tentacle play gleefully with its new feather. If only he knew the number of things wrong with that statement. Her actual gender, for one, plus the fact that only one boy's attention had ever mattered, anyway. However, she made sure not to burden her teacher of all people with these personal matters. "Mm, I guess you would think that. But I don't think all of them would know of my liking of feathers," she replied with an even grin, taking the paper and pencil.
Lirona nodded dutifully when the instructions were given, and spent the next few minutes drawing a diagram of the cards on the floor. This was rather hindered by her tentacle's persistent flailing, but the spawn got through it in the end. Looking up, she smiled at Fifth. "Okay, I'm finished with the diagram. Should I flip the cards now?"

Fifth frowned softly at the subtle implications that Lira didn't have anyone. He likely had a few different suggestions that he knew of, but he wasn't going to continue with the topic, something that he'd already decided. His tail flicked gently and he took a seat on the other side of the large amount of cards, waiting patiently for Lirona to finish her drawing and feeling a slight bit of envy for the fact that Lira would actually be able to use numbers and letters and the like to mark her silly little chart. By the time she was finished, there was a soft pout on his face. He blinked in surprise and then smiled brightly.
"Ah! Yeah, yeah, it's your turn first. 'Course, we'll be playing Memory, so you'll flip two cards, write them down, flip them back over, and it'll be my turn. This is to get you in the habit of charting things like this. Once you've got that down, we'll get rid of the chart and I'll be expecting you to draw one up in your head instead of kind of remembering the cards that are laid down. Make sense?" he asked with a grin on his face. "Start when you're ready."

Lirona smiled up at her teacher and nodded, careful to disguise the sudden nervousness that had nested in her throat. It seemed like it would be very difficult to remember all of those cards without her chart. Still, she reasoned with herself, nothing worth learning was ever easy, so she looked at the cards with a determined face and flipped two over at random, right next to each other in the middle.
"Red four and... black... seven," she muttered to herself as she marked 'R4' and 'B7' on her chart. With a smile, she flipped the cards back over and looked up at the Eilian. "Your turn, Mr. Fifth."

Fifth smiled back coolly, green eyes appraising the spawn's movements with little critique and a certain amount of appreciation as she went through the movements; lifting the cars, writing them down, turning them over. When she looked back up, he flipped his own set of cards, a red seven and a black king, and set them down, face-up. "Make sure to write 'em down..."
It was a long class, that afternoon. The both of them took their turns until they had flipped half of the cards over and deduced the rest - "See, if we already have these, then that means that these other ones have to be..." - and came to the end of the game, where each turn granted another point for either of them. But that wasn't the end of it. From there they continued playing again and again, limiting the use of the sheet of paper by a little bit each and every time, until they reached their last game for that afternoon, almost three hours later, Fifth sprawled out on his side of the cards, flipping over two of the last eight cards - both of them red fives.
"Looks like he lesson has certainly paid off - each game has been shorter than the one before," he noted, putting the pair next to the rest of the pairs on his side of the board, still smiling softly at the 'female' across from him.

Time passed quickly for the Patience spawn, as focused as she was on learning her new skill. Her golden eyes shone with concentration, and every success brought a smile to her face. Pretty soon she was able to answer with barely glancing at her reference sheet, and she was rarely ever wrong. Before she knew it, the sun had sunken farther into the sky, and the classroom glowed with peachy evening light. She smiled when her teacher spoke, and nodded. "Mmhmm. You're a very good teacher, Mr. Fifth, and this was really fun. Thank you so much," she said with a smile.
When Lira glanced at her watch, a distressed yelp jumped from her throat. "Ohmygoodness! I was supposed to be home an hour and a half ago! My dad's probably called the SWAT team by now; oh wait, he hates any government anything... Oh whatever!" Fluttering with anxiety, she quickly stood and gathered her things, darting towards the door before turning and flashing a final smile at Fifth. "Once again, this was really fun! Thanks a lot for being my teacher, Mr. Fifth. I'll see you soon!" With that, she darted out the door and hurried towards the bus stop, hoping that Silas wasn't already completely furious with worry.
