Akasa- "is equated with teh element of air and is a term denoting pure spirit. Also called, "the breath of god" or "ether-space" - incorporating the sound in its qualities. It is called the fifth cosmic element. The Bhagavad-Gita says that prakriti (primal nature or substance) mainfests in eight portions: air, earth, fire, water, ether (akasa), mind, understanding, self-sense."
Akasa Records - "from Theosophy applied to an astral filing system of all thoughts, words, actions, and events that have ever taken place anywhere in the world. The belief is that all things make an impression on the akasa. The Akasa records are akin to the Collective Unconsciousness, or Universal Mind."
American Associatioin of Electronic Voice Phenomena - (AA-EVP) was founded in 1982 by Sarah Estep "to provide objective evidence that we survive death in an individual conscious state." The members experiment with a wide variety of devices - radio, telephones, tape recorders, video equipment, computers, cameras and answering machines. They say that the spirits of the dead can communicate through all these devices. Estep rates teh voices at three levels. Class A - clear and can be possibly be heard without headphones. Class B - can sometimes be heard without headphones but are not as clear and constant as Class A. Class C are very faint and can be easily missed. The members stress that all evidence must be based on good science. Estep has changed the leadership over to Lisa and Tom Butler.
American Psychical Institute and Laboratory - founded by teh distinguished British psychical research investigator and author Hereward Carrington. It lasted for only two years but in 1933 was reorganized and its headquarters are on Park Avenue in New York. It is an advisory council made up of a number of men of distinction in the field which publish a quarterly journal titled Bulletins.
American Society for Psychical Research - the oldest psychical research organization in the United States. Was founded in 1885 in Boston by William fletcher Barrett of the British Society for Psychical research. It is headquartered in New York and maintains one of the world's largest libraries of books on parapsychology.
Angel - are found in Christianity, Judaism adn Islam. The term comes from teh Latin angelus, and teh Greek aggelos, which means, "a messenger."
