We'd love to hear any and all ideas you guys have for a Christmas/New Year event. I'd like this to be our biggest event yet with at least 10 threads with exciting things going on.
Also, tell us what kind of prizes you guys would be interested in.

Hmm, well maybe have a tektek contest of Santa and Mrs Claus? biggrin
Or some colouring pages of Christmas related things..? xD Or 'Build your own present?' =P

For prizes: old Christmas item sets?
Create-a-tree: Make a Christmas tree out of items you have lying around the house, take a picture and submit it for a contest
Hoe-Hoe-Hoe: Create the best Christmas themed hoe (Man-hoes allowed!)
All I want for Christmas is you: 'Give' yourself to other members of gaia who must put a picture of you/your avi saying that they now own you in their signature, you must then set up a thread to keep track of the people that 'own' you.

i love picture contests thats a lot of fun...
like the terror house you had you may can hide a christmas thing in a pic and we have to find it XD

Christmas countdown.
Maybe New Years?
Count down the days with a certain amount of items.
Suggestion:
I had a Grunny Christmas Count Down in December 2008.
One grunny a day was given away by random number generation based on participation and number of posts non-spam.
There were 2 rolls a day.
One for a grunny item - shirt, slippers.
One for a plush.
It goes well, and people liked it but some you get a thanks and never hear from again...so has risks.. but if you give well and hope for the best.. why not?
Had a similar count down for a friend's birthday, gave away fireworks.
Wanted to do one this Christmas with the penguins but... didn't save enough in time.

You could do like a group matching contest sort of thing. Like see who three people can best match up to be Reindeer/Santa/Mrs./Candycane/Tree/etc.
Could hand out candycanes or mistletoe to couples or friends? IDK 8D;
