Personality: Sweet yet quiet most of the time, she often finds herself in groups... not wanting to feel alone for too long unless she's deep into a good book. A bit scared to get into a relationship, some of it because of having lost her mate and the other part because she often not sure if she really cares for them or just going along with it to have someone around.
History: Isolde grew up in a small fishing town on the coast of Maine, a gift to the family she stayed with from one of their neighbors who’s cat had a larger litter than they thought she could take care of. She didn’t know many of her siblings, most of them given away or sold off… though the other family had kept one. From time to time when she was able to sneak out when the door was left open, Isolde would go and visit her family a few houses down. The humans she lived with adored her, letting her have a bit of freedom since she never wandered far… and never really wanted to. It was a good life with them, and the father of the human family was a fisherman, so there was always some extra fish around the docks to be scavenged.
As the years went by, more cats came into the area as more humans moved there, and Isolde met a male that lived in a bigger house several blocks away from her home while down at the docks one day. Over time they got to know one another and fell in love, feeling like it was one of those human fairytales somewhat… at least she liked to think that way. Though it wasn’t to last… shortly after they had become mates and were thinking of starting a family of their own a hurricane hit the small town.
That wasn’t unusual… though this year the damage seemed to be even worse. More flooding and buildings had come down, and her mates family had been out of town at the time of the storm so they both snuck inside their house to wait out the storm. Unfortunately the house started to collapse on top of them the worse it got… and only she made it out alive.
Devastated at the loss of her mate and not wanting to live in the town where so many memories of them had been made, Isolde left on the next shipping boat that was leaving the town after the storm. Humans didn’t seem to understand why she’d been so down and thought she was sick, so it was better this way. Never having any bad feelings towards her human family, they had been kind in their own way but couldn’t understand the kind of pain she was feeling.
And so started her journey… going from port to port and seeing the world, trying to drown out the pain and eventually recovering from the loss of her mate and finding joy in watching various acting troops in the theaters in the coastal towns. Making believe that your someone else and forgetting all your worries, now that was something she could enjoy. So whenever she got to a new country, she looked all over until a theater could be found… but it had been getting old. So many times there were great attractions in the area, but no felines.
Until she got to Japan that is. Having heard from the few strays she talked to on her travels, there seemed to be a large group of felines in Japan, so that’s where she was determined to get. It was getting old being alone all the time… and Isolde knew her former mate wouldn’t want her to be alone forever. So off she went in search of the Free Collars…
Plots:Looking for a romantic interest and possible mate. It's not in her personality to sleep around or have flings with someone. Looking to settle down and make a life for herself with someone possibly.
