Fususi:
Fu stirred slowly as she left her dreams, eyes opening slowly. Her vision was blurred for a bit, but after a few blinks it was back to normal. Nothing really out of the ordinary.
Until she took a breath and sharp shooting pain blossomed in her side, causing her to flinch and let out a soft yelp.
Everything came back, walking with Pich, him attacking the lion, running away and slipping over the side of a cliff. She looked at her side and a frown crossed her face at all the mud. Pich's aunt would no doubt be furious!
She controlled her breathing, keeping them slow and small so that her lungs didn't move too much. She'd noticed that was what caused her the most pain earlier. With a glance around, she saw she was alone in the den, but for the furs and yet another flower. She did her best not to let that little blossom get to her, but... There was only one creature that could be from.

Pich'Nkosana:
His tail slowly flicked as he headed back with a fresh rabbit clenched in his jaws. His eyes were focused, his stride determined, he looked like he was going into a battle instead of to bring breakfast to a wounded female. There were strange complicated feelings inside of him, concern for fu as if she were more then just a prisoner, as if she were important like family. Why, why did he think of her that way? She was just a silly female who had been more trouble then she was worth for days on end...but she was his. There was something in her eyes that made him bring her flowers, and breakfast, and worry about her.

He growled softly around the food and his teeth tightened before he sighed and moved into the den, with any luck she would still be asleep.

Fususi:
Fu turned her head a bit when someone walked into the den from the dim light outside. She couldn't tell if that was because it was dark out or if the skies were still overcast. It was the overcast, but she didn't know.
It took less than a heartbeat to realize her visitor was Pich, and that he had food, too. She fought back a smile and laid her head back down on the furs, the top of her muzzle touching the flower he had left for her.
"Hi..." she greeted softly, not wanting to test how loud she could speak without hurting herself.

Pich'Nkosana:
"Hi..." He murmured and moved closer to sit beside her and set down the rabbit. "I brought you some breakfast...you feeling better?" He tried to ignore the rose, it had been such a spur of the moment gesture. He slowly settled down and looked her over feeling himself warm up.

"You don't look too bad, just a little muddied up." He slowly smiled and held back a sigh.

Fususi:
Fu smiled a bit herself, though she wasn't certain if it was her doing or more for his benefit and she looked at the food.
"Hurts if I breathe or move too much," she whispered back, considering the food. She was faced with a dilemma caused by the food. It would be difficult to eat it lying on her side as she was. But if she rolled over, it would only hurt, wouldn't it?
Oh, he just had to bring up the mud, didn't he?
"Wish I wasn't. Won't your aunt be angry?"

Pich'Nkosana:
"It's my fault rolling you onto the furs all muddy, don't worry she won't be mad with you." He started to rip apart strips of flesh for her and looked her over again concerned.

"You should stay still...you'll never heal up if you squirm around." He pushed the meat closer to her mouth and watched her carefully. He wondered idly if she was afraid of him, it was almost laughable, he was much more terrified of her. She made him feel strange inside, his chest felt tight around her, and his temperature seemed to rise.

Fususi:
Fu hissed, her ears flicking back. The last thing she wanted was to be treated by him. He was being kind again and that was screwing things up in her mind. He held her captive, attacked a lion with his daughter, and chased her off a cliff. She wanted to hate him, he was a monster, just like his messed-up family.
But he was being so kind, bringing her flowers and food and taking care of her while she was unable to herself. It would make her start liking him again and she didn't know if she wanted that or not.
"I don't want to be coddled," she snapped and immediately regretted it, letting out a low his as she scrunched up her face in pain. She'd taken too deep a breath and it had pained her. When it had subsided again, she put her head back down on the fur.
"Stop flip-flopping. Either be mean or nice, don't be both." Her words were muttered as she looked away.

Pich'Nkosana:
He was startled by her snap and would have growled back at her, but then she hissed in pain. He frowned and felt himself tense up nervously, his ears pinned back and he looked her over worried. He slowly relaxed as she put her head back down and frowned at her words.

"I haven't been cruel to you at all..." He grumbled before narrowing his eyes. "but fine then...you can just lay here and starve if thats how you want it." He growled and spun around angry...and hurt...her words made his insides hurt. How did she do that? He stalked away to sit in the corner of the den annoyed.

Fususi:
Fu pouted a little, not wanting to back down, no matter how right he was. And he WAS right, much to her annoyance. He had treated her rather well since that first day. It just... Fine, at least she could admit it to herself. She was scared. She didn't want him to be nice to her because then she'd start to like him. And want to stay. But she couldn't stay. She couldn't be like his family. Sure, they had their moments, except for maybe his cousins, but they were all cold and cruel when they wanted to be. She couldn't live like that. She couldn't stay.
But if she fell for Pich, how could she leave?
With a sigh, she rolled over so that she was mostly on her stomach, but not enough to put pressure on the hurt area. She tilted her head a bit, taking one of the strips and swallowing.

After she had done away with the ones he had torn, she looked at the floor, her ears down.
"I'm sorry..."

Pich'Nkosana:
His ear perked and he slowly stood moving back over to her silently and sitting down to shred the rest of the rabbit into easy strips and chunks. He licked his lips and nudged the pieces closer to her before looking away. What was he supposed to say to her? Of course she should be sorry, she had gone and gotten herself injured, but he couldn't find it in himself to chastise her.

All he wanted was to understand her, which was silly because she wasn't supposed to be that important. No not that important, she wasn't supposed to have any importance at all! He looked back at her and frowned at her blue eyes, the snowy white coat, the way the markings on her paws drew his gaze slowly upwards, and her inky dipped tail. She was beautiful-beautifully muddy! He huffed annoyed at his own trecherous thoughts.

Fususi:
Fu pawed at the food for a few moments, her thoughts taking her mind off the food, something she hadn't done since she was a cub. Old habits, she supposed.
"I've never seen offensive behavior before," she finally settled quietly. That was a good way to explain.
"I've seen hunting and defending, but never... It looked wrong..." She been looking down at the food as she spoke softly, breathing slowly and carefully. But finally she drew up the courage to raise her eyes. "Would you have killed him?"

Pich'Nkosana:
He looked back into her eyes surprised by her voice, more surprised by what she was saying. Had she really been so sheltered, didn't she knew she had to fight to survive? Violence was the only answer to lifes cruelties. It was easier to attack then to defend especially when it came to lions, and better that he be the one to engage the brute then his aunt or cousin.

"Of course." He answered because it was the truth, but even as the words left his mouth, he knew it wasn't what he should have said. He should have lied, he should have told her he would never kill another, but the proof was there, she was laying on it.

Fususi:
Fu's gaze dropped again at his words.
"Oh..." was all she could come up with and focused back on the food. She didn't understand. What was so bad about lions? She had met one as a cub and he seemed quite... well, he was definitely strange, but that didn't make him bad. And she'd met a leopard, too. Were they bad as well? No, probably not, Pich's aunt and cousin were half-leopard. She understood the need to kill for food, but she couldn't imagine eating a lion, that was what preybeasts were for.
Just be quiet, she told herself. Don't... You're obviously two different creatures. She needed to stay away from him. But she couldn't. She was hurt and needed rest and besides, she was his captive.
Things were so backwards here.
She wanted to go home.

Pich'Nkosana:
He moved to lay down beside her and sighed resting his head on his paws and looking at her. "Your so confusing..." He mumbled and shook his head. What was wrong with her, was she so dense she couldn't see the danger she had put herself in? Couldn't she understand that he was trying to get rid of a potential threat? What if she had been alone out there...she would be far worse off after a lion attack then a simple roll of a cliff.

His eyes narrowed on her and his jaw clenched unhappily. "Your also very pretty..." He finally worked out before sighing and turning away.

Fususi:
Fu tried not to hear what he said, or at least not listen, but she dearly loved compliments. And to hear Pich say that to her, it made her throat tighten. Curse it, she didn't want to be complimented, not by him. If he kept that up she would start to forget again and she would lose. And if she fell... there were so many things at stake.
"No I'm not... I'm covered in dried mud and you're always saying the black on me makes me look dirty," she replied, trying to convince herself he was probably just calling her pretty because he felt bad for her.

Pich'Nkosana:
He chuckled softly and pawed her tail softly, before leaning closer. "I could help clean you up if you wanted? That dried mud can't feel very good on your fur." He looked at her curiously as he felt his chest tighten again, the warmth seemed to raise in degrees slowly. He kept his golden gaze focused on her carefully and tilted his head.

Fususi:
Fu closed her eyes and a small shiver ran down her spine. Which made her side hurt briefly, which made her flinch. But only a little bit. She sighed softly and put her head down on her paws.
"I... suppose. If you want," she allowed, keeping her eyes shut. She really hated being unable to move. Grooming was something special to her. She reserved it for herself ever since she was old enough to do so. To her, the only ones who should be allowed to groom her were herself, her mother or father if she was in a situation like this, and... it was something she felt she would let her mate do. But Pich was none of those. He was really messing things up for her.

Pich'Nkosana:
"If you don't want me to I won't..." He moved his gaze away from her and sat up. She was incredibly ungrateful, but he still felt something for her. He cared about her, he wanted her to get better, but why? She had already run from him once, would she try again...would he let her go? He closed his eyes for a moment pained by the thought of her being gone. How quickly he had come to appreciate her presence.

Fususi:
"You can... I just..." Fu let out a quick sigh and shook her head.
"Only my parents ever groomed me, when I was very little. I've always done it myself since then," she explained as best she could without adding the part about who else she might allow to groom her in the future. It seemed... weird, to give him permission to do so, she was incredibly picky when it came to her hygiene. But she had to admit, it was either let him do it, or stay muddy.

Pich'Nkosana:
"I'll be careful..." He mumbles before settling beside her and carefully starting to run over her fur. He removed every bit of mud every speck of dirt away from her side before moving up towards her neck and cheeks. He nuzzled her softly and licked at her ears with care.

His tail flicked idly as he carefully groomed her until he was finished and glanced at her. "That will have to do unless you feel you can move onto your other side...but I don't recommend it..."

Fususi:
Fu placed her head on her paws as he started cleaning the grime from her coat. It felt... oh who was she kidding? It felt really nice. He was taking care of her and being tender about it and she couldn't help but feel like that was right. He brought her flowers to make her happy, slept beside her when she had admitted to being scared at night. He had seemed angry before, but she had first gotten into a fight and second run from him and his territory. But then he had been so worried for her and did everything he could to keep her well and comfortable as she healed.
That didn't seem like something friends, much less captor and captive, did.

And then when she thought about leaving him... It was too late. She could leave his family and his territory, but she had the sudden realization that Pich would have to drive her or scare her away pretty fierce to get her to leave him.
She buried her face in her paws and burst into soft, semi-quiet tears.

Pich'Nkosana:
Her tears startled him and he leaned in close confused, why was she always doing things to confuse him? "Fu? What's wrong, does it hurt?" He buried his nose gently against her neck and nuzzled her softly hopefully. Why was she crying, had she been harmed by his grooming?

Fususi:
"I don't want to be here," Fu replied between her tears and sniffles. Her soft voice was muffled in her paws, not wanting to pull it up for if she did she would have to look at him and then where would she be?
"Your cousins scare me and your aunt and uncle are violent beyond anything I had imagined and I've been hurt more than in my whole life put together and everything's just wrong to me," she stopped there for a few moments, trying to get herself to stop crying. Since when had she become such a cry-baby? Gods, how did he manage to do this to her?
"All of that, and I don't think I'll ever be able to make myself leave," she finally choked out and sniffed some more.

Pich'Nkosana:
She didn't want to be there, of course not...she wasn't a guest...she was his prisoner. Yet he had come to forget that so easily, so stupidly. He didn't care anything for him or his family, and he should try to stop caring for her, for that was what it was, he cared too much for her.

"Then you shall leave...once your healed...you can go, I've cause you quite enough damage I suppose..." He stood slowly and moved over her, away from her. How was he going to let her go?

Fususi:
What? Had she heard him right? He would let her leave once she was healed enough to do so?
Fu should have been happy. She should have been over-joyed, to by more precise.
But she wasn't. How she could be hurting more now than before, she wasn't sure she knew completely, or at the least couldn't bring herself to admit. She lifted her head from her paws and did her best to turn her body to face the wall of the cave and still allow her to lie on her uninjured side. Once she had managed that, she curled up on her side, her back to the rest of the cave, something she hadn't done. She had always put her back to the wall so that she could see an attack coming if need be. But not this time. She faced the wall so Pich wouldn't see her cry anymore, because she had yet to stop, and she doubted she would for a while.
Her tail curled slowly and drew the flower into her little circle, the bloom gone from view in seconds.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich sat with his back to hers his ears folded back unhappily, that was it then, she would turn her back on them and just...leave. Of course, why did he think she would stay, she had never wanted to be near them in the first place. His heart felt heavy inside his golden eyes dry but filled with pain. He glanced over his shoulder at her and frowned when he saw the flower gone, had she crushed it like the first? He stood and slipped out of the den the desire to run strong inside him.
