Two things:
1)Perhaps we should clean out the guild a little before we put a lot of effort into getting new people.
2)Unbeknownst to almost anyone, there are plans beingmade to get some really good artist in here, and make sure they are true artists, not just artistic people.
'True artists'?
What exactly is your definition of that then? cool ___
Maybe each artist should post their WIPs in their own art thread, just to keep it all together?
I do like the idea of a work-area thread ^.^Having talent doesn't mean you understand what being an artist is. Anything from stealing art to using vulgarity for no good reason. Being respectful to not only others but to yourself and the pieces. I've seen things where someone used nudity the same way producers use a famous actor in a tiny role. It's there and so attracts people. Instead of being true to the art they are acting like politicians, using the cheap meaningless stuff that is guaranteed to get a response instead of making a masterpiece.
The best way I know to explain it is like this. If you are making an action movie, you pack it with action. Putting in a token make out scene or sex scene isn't good art. It's not just the quality of the parts, but how the whole works together.
Gotcha. Not just someone who makes shinies, someone who really puts something worth talking about into their pieces... that way, they'd be more likely to get something out of the G.A.G., and to give something back

Plus, even a completely heartless piece of art can have technical merits that can be learned from. I think the good, the bad and the ugly should run around free range, within reason... One needs good examples, bad examples and mixed examples to learn from
