So in our band, we usually have our shirts for the year's show (show shirts I call them). We also have two sections that usually have shirts which are the drumline (their shirts rocked this year) and the colorguard (there's this year...not so much). Being as awesome as we are, our section leader decided to make us shirts. It had all the alto saxophones, tenor saxophones, and baritones saxophones (The Saxes). So this is how it was. The whole shirt was black and the "stuff" was white. Front: We decided to do the "Hard Days Night" album since all of us were pratically Beatles fans. It said "The Saxes" in Beatles print what I would like to call. Each of the 20 squares had our picture in it (our section leader is an awesome photographer so he took our pics, with the exception of one of the guys taking his photo (he did a good job too)). Back: On the top it says "The Saxophones" with a saxophone inside a circle in the middle and has 2009 and 2010 next to it. On the middle/bottom is a "saxophone flower" the alto saxophone's made during a sectional. Here's a picture of it to get the jist of what it looks like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/saxibandgeek/4129527470/So has your section made any shirts? If so, tell. Thanks!

That's awesome!!!!! We got ours the last two Saturday's ago when we were doing a parade. Most of us were happy (the ones that actually play and love band instead of being annoying or not playing at all).

MM: Very cool! What are the chains for?
Our section shirts my first year were tiedyed and said Peace, Love, Happinets. Last year they said 'Net Hero (like the video game), with a clarinet logo that looks like one of those toy controllers. This year I think they're going to have a muffin, roll of toilet paper, and clarinet on the front, and on the back say 'Nets: Better in Bulk (cause there's a lot of us). Can't wait until they're made :]

We haven't received the trumpet shirts for this year yet. I think the section leader is still trying to get all of the money for them. But last year, they just said "Beast." on the front. And on the back it had the Freshman trumpets, Sophomore trumpets, junior trumpets, and senior trumpets listed in those categories. The people in charge of the design were trying to make the shirts non-suckish this year they said.
Edit: We got our section shirts this year. It just says "We are what you want to be" on the front and the back has a picture of a trumpet and it lists the members of the section. One of the leaders kinda got impatient with the person making the design, so the person who was trying to get a cool design was like, "Whatever, just make it however you want to." to another person, so we got our shirt saying what it says.

We have been planning secion shirts for most of the season, but we have yet to get them. Mostly, because we didn't have a design. now, I finally managed to make a good design for them!

Our shirt for next year (for low brass) is going to be a high G (like, 3 lines above the staff) and it's going to say "I hit that." [We regard high G as godly. If you can hit high G, you're done learning, you're a trombone Jesus. High G also "makes you s**t your Goddamn pants." (Ha, Ryan.)] Ours this year was on the front: Low Brass Back: Time to Wake the Neighbors

So, on the pic I pposted, by darkening the edges, whitening the staff, and darkening the clarinet and the clef, i seems like a whole different picture. The version i posted on here actually looks pretty bad, but my finished version, after obsessing over it all day, is amazingly awesome, and my section is close to as much in love with it as I am.

LoViN ThE NiNtEnDo MaRiO well, i love my section to death, but we dindnt get any shirts, which we shold since we r clearly the most fabulous section in the band, so we should b the section getting shirts, but instead, we ordered jackets, which were $50 so i cldnt afford them Oh dear! I hope we can find some jackets cheaper then that! I want to do section jackets and section shirts, because we would be the only sction(well, besides guard) with jackets, but if they are that expensive, i doubt we will. I have an awesome idea for them too! We would put a star design similar to my heart design below. On the sleeves we would have a clarinet on one sleeve and a bass clarinet on the other. They would have our name on it, depending on who owned the jcket(my name would be on mine, the sl's name would be on hers, etc) The name would be on the instrument we played, so our bass would have his name on the bass clarinet and everyone else would be on the clarinet. n the back we would have a music staff with the word clarinet written inside, and if I can ever manage to draw a clarinet with actual keys, we could add tha behind the staff. I wish I could draw a clarinet like Melphina Micaela...
