Ziva stood in the middle of the forest, listening intently. The wind howled around her and the leaves spiraled in dizzying circles to the floor. She was alone. It was something she had become use to and this forest silences were as familiar to her as the sound of her own breath.
The sun had just come up, and she wondered if she had made the right decision to retire. She had joined a herd, but did that mean she had to stop doing what she did best?

"Its shaping up to be a beautiful morning, wouldn't you say?" Cinder smiled softly, "The sounds these woods make. The rustling of the leaves in the wind. The animals stretching in their dens. Its wonderful. Perfect bliss."
He quickly whipped out his sketchbook and began working on drawing the sunrise through the trees. This one is going to be great. Just wait til Myrror sees it. He never gets out enough. Maybe for just a second it will take his mind off.. his mind..
He sighed contentedly, "Just perfect."

Ziva saw the form moving from the wood. He was alone, and he appeared harmless. She could...brush up on skills. No one would miss him...
She sighed, I guess I've gone soft. I'll settle for a sneak attack. Softly, without a sound, she made her way behind him. Then with one swift movement, she tackled him.

One second Cinder was sitting there sketching the treetops. The next, he was laying flat on his back with a strange woman on top of him.
"What in the.. Who in the hell does something like that! Here I am minding my own business, sketching at that! And you come out of nowhere and tackle me!" he grumbled, trying to push her off of him, "Who in the hell are you anyway?"

Ziva sat on him triumphantly, unwilling to move. "I've still got it, it seems." She glared down at him for a moment, "I'll be the one asking the questions. Who are you?"

"I asked you first," Cinder grunted, "But since I believe you won't get off of me until then. My name is Cinder."
If only I had a more useful talent, He was still trying to squirm free, failing miserably to say the least.
"Now really, what in the name of the gods made you tackle me?" he was curious, "I mean, all I was doing was sketching the sunrise..."
He quickly looked at the treetops, groaning, "And you've made me miss it! Myrror is going to be so disappointed. That's his favorite part of the day! Now if you don't mind, I really would appreciate you getting off of me. There is work to be done."

Ziva remained as she was. "I do not answer to you. And it would do you good to know that I am an assasian with a...unique ability. Suffice it to say, you could be dead 15 different ways in 2 seconds." She studied him for a moment later, "Why are you out here anyway?" She frowned darkly at his sketchbook.

"Okay, so you're an assassin.. And you tackled me.. Rather than kill me 15 different ways in 2 seconds.. " Cinder grumbled, "But I just told you, I was sketching the sunrise in the treetops. Its a pastime of mine. A friend of mine in Dream Valley rather enjoys gazing at the drawings. Since he cannot muster up the will to leave his home."
Again, he tried to squirm free of her. Once again, he failed at his attempts. "Is there a reason you feel the need to sit on me?"

Ziva smirked. "Maybe I find it fun?" She sighed then got up. "This use to be a whole lot funner, I guess I like them better dead."

"Then you, my dear," Cinder grumbled as he got up, "Have a very skewed vision of what fun is."
Now, where is my book.. he searched the area. Aaah, here it is. he thought as he walked over to it and picked it up. "So, besides mauling me while I was in a perfect Zen state.. What are you doing here?"
I hope nothing is damaged. He flipped through the pages, waiting for her answer.

Ziva watched him studiously. "I had wanted to be alone. Truly alone...civilazation was getting to me." She looked out across the small clearing and up at the setting sun. Have I ever seen how he does? With eyes, instead of precision and calculation? How long has it been since I saw beauty? Her voice came out a bit hard. "Maybe your the one that's skewed."

Still checking his book, he mumbled, "I'm sorry if I interrupted your solitude." Cinder looked over at her, "If it suits you, I'll just be on my way. I'd rather not get trampled."

"I interest you? Like one has an interest in an experiment?" he scoffed again, "I am far from interesting. I can assure you that much. I am but a simple artist."
His sketchbook was fine, yet he couldn't help thinking that something wasn't right. Maybe it wasn't his sketchbook that was wrong, though. It very well might be his current companion.
'Something about her just seems... Off.. and its very off-putting, if you ask me that is.' he shook his head softly, clearing his thoughts, "So, I would much appreciate your telling me exactly how I interest you. Because to be honest, I'm not quite sure how you could be."
