Tsukasa had a bad habit of occupying herself solely with things that were completely unimportant to the current situation. For example, currently she should be helping her family prepare for winter. But, of course, she wasn't doing anything of the sort. Instead, she was busily twirling an arrow between two of her fingers, tossing and catching it in all sorts of fanciful ways, as though she was practicing to be in a show. Not to say that she wasn't, after all. Entertainment was the most enjoyable form of work, she believed. And the most rewarding.

Driving two currents of wind straight upward, she managed to get the arrow to freeze in midair for a moment, right about her head, before slowly letting it drop to the tip of her nose, keeping utmost focus. Flipping it back into the air with the tip of her nose, she let it spin a few times before landing tip straight-down in the dirt in front of her, a broad smile on her face, eyes panning an imaginary audience happily, just waiting for the day when she actually would be on stage instead of on a tree trunk in a clearing only about a mile from her home.

Clea laughed into the open wind as she leapt over briar and bramble, her empty saddlebags flapping against her sides. She'd been to her mothers to drop off the last of this seasons herbs, her brother Zain's to deliver enough green to last them, and to her brother Armaeo's to pick up some much needed reading material. This winter was going to be exspecially harsh, the plants had told her so.

For the time being she didn't care. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail with a nice, thick scarf arond her neck and a sweater to keep her warm. The deadened plants pulled to their mistress as she passed. They wrapped her paws in a tangle of vines; presented her with flowers that may not bloom for another moon passing.

When she padded up to her check point before the long treck up her mountain, Clea saw something she hadn't this morning. A teenager with obvious magical skill. Her smile ebbed away to a frown. "What a show off," she grumbled, walking confidently before the teen. If she just plowed on through maybe she wouldn't be noticed.

This first thought that crossed Tsukasa's mind was the idea of a possible audience with this female. The second, and more overpowering one, however, was where the other was going. Her tail flicked back and forth and pulled the arrow out of the ground as she stepped past it. If the other was going into town, that would mean that Tsuki might be able to accompany her; after all, she wasn't allowed to go alone didn't mean she wasn't allowed to go with someone she'd just made friends with.

If she made friends with this one.

Regardless of consequence, it was worth a shot. So, not hearing the show off comment, she stepped up to the greenish female's side with the friendliest of naive smiles on her face. "H'llo there, miss," she said sweetly, once more twirling the arrow between her outside fingers, the ones that weren't near the other 'taur, for safety's sake at least. "Any chance that you're headin' into town today? If so, any way you'd be willin' to let me accompany you?"

The vines surrounding Clea's outer perrimeter spiked up immediatly when the teenager came close. It wasn't on her agenda to stop and chat; far from it, actually.

She side stepped the mystic teen before continuing her walk at a faster pace. "'Lo". A response that only a child could top. "I'm afraid not. Town is in the opposite direction and I plan to go home before dark." She really wasn't a people person at all. Experience had taught her that most everyone outside of her family, except for a select few, were out for her heart to crush under their paw. On a whim, she looked down at the girl. "I'm sorry."

At the short reply, Tsukasa's ears and tail both drooped a bit, the twirling of her arrow slowing before it stopped completely, and she held it in her hand. "Pity then. Suppose I'll be waiting for another day instead," she said, mostly to herself. Of course, it wasn't like her to give up the possibility of socializing. She didn't want to be a pest, but she didn't want to be completely cold; the air was enough like that as it was.

"Well... well then is there any chance you'd be willin' to watch my act? I've been practicin' it for a really long ti-" she stopped suddenly, a sheepish smile crossing her blue face. "Right, home before dark; best not to hold you up in that case..." she thought for another moment before speaking up, trying to be helpful but likely coming off as a bit bothersome. Her home was SO BORING, though! A little adventure was all she asked...! "I could always gather you up some fish or rabbits or other creatures, if you like? I fancy myself pretty good with a bow and arrow after all."

Clea padded to a halt with her tail forming a crescent behind her. She hadn't meant to hurt the girl, but how else could she have said it? "Well...I.." How were you supposed to act around younger girls? The only ones she knew were her sisters and neice, but it wasn't like they talked to her. "Maybe if it's quick- Hold up. Why would you want to hunt for a complete stranger?" She snapped, more out of surprise than actual irritation. Clea hated hunting and spending any time draining the life out of little animals always put her in a crabbier mood than usual.

Creepy kid. Hell if she wasn't hungry, though. "If you really want to, I'm not going to stop you."

"No reason, really. Gets pretty lonely around here and I've been told I'm much quicker and cleaner than most," by which Tsukasa meant that her mother said she was better than she, herself, was, and that she was better than Eifa, but that was all beside the point. She wasn't lying, just stretching the truth a little bit. Either way, she was still a damn-good shot.

Tsukasa brightened immediately when she was approved for the odd little job, quickly retrieving her bow and the rest of her quiver of arrows and tagging along with the older cattaur, tail flicking back and forth cheerily. "Feel free to continue on. It'd be easy enough to catch a few things on the way, and, as you said, you don't want to get home too terribly late." As for when she got home, she could care less. New friends were more important than being home on time. "By-the-by, I'm Tsukasa, Tsuki for short. Yourself?"
