Avvie swung high into the bare branches of the tree. It had taken her forever to get her rope swing up and running, with the help of Yvette, and now it was almost too cold to swing. Chill stung Avalon's pinkened cheeks. Her open sweater fluttered in the wind behind her. The cold crept up her skirt and through her pink leggings. She brought the swing to a halt and hopped from it's seat.
She buttoned up her uniform sweater and jammed her hands into her pockets. Avalon went and sat on the front stoop of the school. She wanted to explore. She wanted to play. She wanted a friend to do this all with. Avalon sprawled herself out over the landing at the entrance of the school and peered up longingly at the doorway. Someone had to exit the building at some point, or enter the school. That is when Avalon would strike.

Giselle was leaving the building, but only to take a walk.
She needed walks like a machine needed oil, walks were what helped her focus, made her concentrate. And right now she needed a whole lot of concentrating, if only because things were getting weird, and Elke was noticing, and she needed to be in control. Not just for herself. Elke was her pupil, and though Giselle was only her tutor, she had blown the role out of proportion in typical Zellish fashion. Elke was her pupil, and she was responsible for her. Even if she couldn't find out what was going on (and she'd admit, it was unlikely), she had to give it her best shot.
Merit based. This school was merit based. She had gotten in, she had merit, she could handle this. She knew she was capable. This was just another test. She paced around the periphery of the school, biting her lip slightly as she thought. Science club had lacked the merit. It wasn't a victory for her, far from it. It was just another challenge, the last one Tara would ever send her way.
She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice the very pink student that slowly came into her line of sight. By the time she did, it would be too late.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Person here!" Avalon cried out. The teenager's arms shot in the air and wavered frantically.
Avalon gave a slight roll to the side and tried to out-move the approaching boots. She looked up at the person that had come into her view. Blonde and poised and apparently deep in thought, or something.
Avvie waved at the girl a bit more, still flat out on her back, and grumbled something along the lines of "You should watch where you are going" under her breath.
