Biography
Oni Kuro started out as an independent wrestler working in lowtime sleazy promotions in Osaka, Japan, mostly as a generic jobber. Due to being overweight, his lack of wrestling ability, and his overall look, Oni had trouble making it into bigger promotions. Looking for a way to prove that he had potential to be a star, he turned to his VHS collection watching nothing but 90's deathmatches and early 1980's matches. It was love at first sight for Oni as he admired the bloodshed, the brawls, and the over the top gimmick. These matches would eventually inspire Oni to turn a negative (that being his crappy wrestling ability) into a positive as he donned a demon gimmick inspired by the stories he was told to as a child and began to rise to the top with his stiff, ruthless, barbaric style of brawling. Feeling as if he dominated the independent scene in Japan, the fire breathing Oni Kuro migrated to America to continue his violent path of rage.
