I am currently reading it and on the 6th book right now. I absoutly love it! It's considered a romance book seires because thats where I found it in the book store but it is a lot more then that. Each book is told by one of the members of the Brotherhood but they continue the the plot line through each book. They are falling in love with a woman in each book so there is sex(adult section) but the thing is each character has a flaw or something in their life that is wrong and they don't deal with and she helps them to deal with it while at the same time they fall in love with her.
The main plot line is these warrior vampires call the, Black Dagger Brotherhood, fight the Lessers that are the minnions of an evil force called the Omega. They all have a kind of dark history which is why they are the perfect warriors of their kind. Some of them fall in love with half-breds, vampires, and humans.
I really love these books, they made me cry lots of times while reading them.(which I don't do very often in the books I read, so that to me proves they are good) I defiantly suggest to pick up the first book.
