User ImageDarkness is something that the inhabitants of the Di’taki forest are used to. Here, the leaves were thick, the trees were high, and very little light managed to squeeze though and give warmth and brightness to the ground below.
There was something to be said for the peace and the serenity that this forest offered, the deepest arias were said to have the most soothing environment. Though at the same times, it’s also said to have the most frightening environment.

The brightness came from other sources however, the glowing of a Di’taki’s eyes for example or the glow of truly innocent laughter, adding something to the haunting silence of the dark forest.
a young female , her body blue, with shimmering blue tones that seemed to come from under transparent skin. She was trying to claw up a tree where a small rodent was perched on a high branch, hissing, terrified down at her. Tough the Di’taki didn’t seem to be taking this very seriously. Sliding down the tree until she plopped onto the ground, only to giggle, get up, and try again

The brindled dark blue coat of the male D'Taki blended well into the shadows of the Deep Woods. His emerald green feathers made him look as if he was part of the surrounding foliage. Only his golden eyes gave his location away.

Bramble had seen the rodent scurry up the tree with the female Di'Taki close behind it. The chase had piqued his interest so he stopped to watch. Expecting a quick end to the rodent and a meal for the blue female, Bramble was a bit disappointed when the hissing creature continued to elude capture.

The longer the prey remained alive after repeated attempts by the female to climb the tree, the lower his opinion of her dropped. Bramble was beginning to think that this Di'Taki was so dimwitted, she should have been given back to the Adahy to raise. Then he heard the giggles.

After a while, she stopped jumping up the tree, and began to just circle the trunk, all her eyes were staring up at the little rodent trapped on the branch.
She growled with each pass… if you could really call the noise she let out a growl, it was clear that she was having fun with this, if the smile over her face and the small giggles she let out every now and then were any indication.
Completely unaware that there was anyone else in the aria with her, she stopped in front of the rodent again, barking up at it
“Hey! You scardy, come down here”
She slapped a claw on the cold ground.

A loud gurgle of laughter escaped Bramble when the female stamped her paw and demanded that the rodent come down from the tree. The dark blue Di'Taki berated himself for being so clumsy. Realizing that there was no way to slip away with any dignity now, Bramble stepped from the cover of the shadows and foliage.

"The rodent doesn't seem to be the obedient kind," he commented casually.
