The diner where they were suppose to meet was one of those old ones, one of those fifties diners you so stereotypically saw in old movies, with the black and white tiles and bright obnoxious neon lights. Bar stools lined a counter where girls in white aprons served coffee to those who came in, no matter what the time of night. It was just that kind of place, and even that night a few grissly, albeit harmless, men sitting at the counter, a cop sitting at the very end with a donut. You half expected to see girls in long skirts sipping from a milkshake with two straws, their love interest staring starry-eyed back at them. Add the waitresses on roller skates and you'd have a drive-in diner worthy of a performance of 'Grease.'
Reanna Marshall sat in one of the many plush red booths, a cup of coffee warming her hands, her expression setting a blank tone for the evening, a mild frown reflecting back at her in the window. Outside, the snowfall had only just begun to pick up again after several days of relatively heavy snow flurries, this light powder a blessing. Multi-colored lights illuminated over-eager carolers who gathering at street-corners, bundled up in jackets and boots, ready to sing of the joys of the holidays as people passed by. Rea's blue-green eyes peered through the window into the dusk outside, eyebrows furrowing when she didn't find what she sought, and she turned her attention back to the mug in her hand.
Damn, where were they?
To be honest, she wasn't quite sure what this was all about. Really, no one kept her in the loop, if there even was a loop (how could the Negaverse be so coordinated and yet the senshi were in shambles?) All she knew was that she was meeting a few other senshi there that evening, under the pretenses that they may be able to help each other. She had reluctantly accepted -- introductions and negotiations of this type were not Pegasus' forte in the least, but she would at least hear what they all had to say.
It was, after all, apparently important. So said the talking cat.
Letting out a disgruntled sigh, the strawberry blonde girl brushed at her pale blue skirt idly, glancing up to give the mostly-empty diner a once over, just to be sure the others were not hiding among the other patrons. This was certainly not the best laid plan of mice and men, by any stretch of the imagination. Despite their efforts to pick a place that would be deserted of other kids their age at this time of night, there was still that jarring factor that they might reveal themselves to people who were not, in fact senshi. Wouldn't that be a nightmare.

"Cripple brigade, coming through."
The two who first showed up weren't the ones that Reanna Marshall had to worry about. For starters, the 'cripple brigade' consisted of her roomie and the girl who was taking Rea to prom -- Charys Murphy, rolled up in a t-shirt (a t-shirt??) and a pashmina afghan was motoring Eve forward. Eve was still heavily beaten-up and only just out of the hospital, and so 'cripple brigade' really wasn't out of the question -- Charys just made neeee-eeeer car noises and scooted the pretty, beat-up blonde girl forward to the booth, next to Rea, presenting her with a 'ta-da' motion to Rea herself. She wasn't even goosepimpled. She was, however, wearing Winnie the Pooh earmuffs that had seen better days and all of those better days were in the 1980s, and flipped them off to reveal that they were, sigh, hooked up to the iPod at her hip.
Which she, thank God, turned off. "Hey, Janurea," said the bluenette, and winked at her. She always tended to wink. By sight, you would not have thought that Sailor Flora and Sailor Nerissa had just entered the building -- and Charys slid on the booth opposite, motoring herself along to warm herself with Rea's coffee instead.
And stole a sip.
"So, the rest of this crazy team not here yet?" Blergh face. "Holy God, the last filter coffee left in Destiny City."

It really was about time to form a senshi team. This was shoved right into their faces when Eve, as Sailor Flora, had gotten heavily beaten up by three Negaverse agents. She still considered it an unfair fight; hey, Serandite had explicably wanted a one on one fight, and yet it had resulted in her being the punching bag when she was too weak to fight back. Eve was still highly irritated by this all, and if she had her way, she would have a sourpuss expression on her face. However, one couldn't remain grim when accompanied by Charys. She had managed to crack a smile and had bundled herself up in as many layers as it took to make sure she wouldn't freeze to death outside. A cute ski cap with tassels had been pulled over her ears to keep them warm and she offered Rea a bright smile when she saw her.
It was lucky they hadn't ran into a youma on the way; she didn't think she could handle the cold in the fuku, even if it was magical enough to protect them from getting frostbitten. She doubted Charys would have let her go senshi, anyway.
"So, who are we meeting again anyway?" She spoke this rather seriously, leaning back in her seat. "Is the coffee really that bad, Charys?" If so, she would order another hot drink. Despite the layers, she would still gratefully accept a cup of hot chocolate. She supposed it had to do with the whole Senshi of Spring thing.

"It's shitty, Eve-O," said Charys. "I'm only drinking it because it tastes a little like Rea."
She then winked. Again. She was going to develop a tic if this kept up. Then again, if you tried to keep Charys from flirting, blood would probably start coming out of her ears. There was every suspicion that she had only been roped into a senshi meeting out of the fact that Rea and Eve were going to be there, and Eve knew that it was more a percentage of Rea than it was her -- there she was, smooching the rim of the cup before she pushed the coffee back. "There. Now you have my cooties."
Hopefully the other senshi would be more serious. Seriouser?

The door chimed and Ume slipped through glancing around with that same confidant-shyness that she somehow managed to combine. Just like her first meeting with Charys in the video store, her smile was open and welcoming the moment she saw the familiar face though her pose was reserved. She pulled back the hood from her heavy winter coat, a deep red thing somewhere between a pea-coat and something that escaped from Victorian England, closer inspection would show someone had helped tailor it to that look.
She walked over and gave a small wave. "Hi! Sorry!... I'm Ume? If Your here with Charys well..." She shrugged and smiled. "May I sit?" ((edit - I'll delete this if I'm wrong in my read of the title XD sorry!))

Rea blinked when she heard the light ringing of the bell over the door, accompanied quickly by the sound of Charys announcing their presence via car noises. Immediately she was up, palms planted on the table, her expression twisting to one of worry and anger as she appraised the two, looking more and more upset and having a harder time hiding it. She had been there the day Eve had been beaten up, having come in near the end when the girl was already so badly hurt. By the time she had arrived, the kind-hearted scout was already so badly hurt... She kicked herself for not getting there quicker, although she had nearly flown when she had gotten Flora's message. If she had just gotten there faster...
Exhaling slowly, Rea sat back down, scooting over to make room for Eve, not noticing her coffee had been taken until it was much too late and Charys had already made a face.
"Well if you had waited a second I would have warned you the coffee wasn't great," She replied, relaxing a little with Charys' antics, even going as far as to smile a little. With the two of them there, it almost felt like she could actually tolerate this meeting. With her sweet-as-sugar roomie and her flirtatious date, it was so much easier to feel in good company, as opposed to what she knew it would be -- an awkward, awkward introduction. Rea even flushed a little at the compliment, despite how she tried to give the bluenette a scolding look, taking back the warm mug. Even in a situation like this, Charys had the uncanny ability to make everything seem... ok, somehow. Even though both she and Eve looked like they had seen better days.
The smile dissipated.
Rea had already opened her mouth to say something when the door chimed again, and in came the fourth member of their group. She regarded the new girl curiously for a few moments before dipping her head in a nod. "Please," She offered politely, quietly appraising her. If she knew Charys, she must be in the right place. "I'm Rea."

"Ume" she replied with a small curtsy, tapping the toe of one black buttoned boot on the floor behind the other as her knees dipped.
When she slid into the seat it was more clear she'd gotten a fairly recent split lip, covered almost by a bit of make up and dark lipgloss but still there. But then again as far as her face, not as bad as the others. She glanced them both over with concern.
"Ouch..." She murmured sympathetically, not for the first time wishing she could -heal- people. "Sorry I'm late, I had to dissuade my sister... mmm I've never been in here before! What's good?" She smiled again but there was a distracted air, a little sad and worry to it.

"Not the coffee," said Charys, and reached over to ruffle Ume's mass of dark hair. Apparently she was on familiar terms with the red-eyed gothic lolita, and didn't appear rattled remotely. She was also looking much less "black eyed" and "beaten the hell up" than she had done last time; she was still stealing sips of Rea's coffee when she could, she just dramatically made faces. "Ladies, I was the one who ruined Ooh-meh's life, treat her gently."
She was whipping out her cellphone to send a quick message -- since when did she not -- and shoved it back in her jeans pocket again, leaning back in the squeaky booth.
"So who are we waiting for? It a mystery or what?"
She also didn't appear concerned about the fact that Eve looked as though she'd been in a run-in with a car and come off worse -- but that was Charys also, unfortunately, she tended to never appear obviously worried about anything. It was telling that she'd taken the time to motor in the lithe blonde girl, though, complete with car and truck reversal noises.

Eve only patted Rea lightly on the shoulder with a smile that said, 'See, I'm still alive! Nothing to worry about!' Eve hated having people worrying over her, and had practically sulked the entire time she was bedridden in hospital, constantly asking the nurses and doctors when she would be discharged. Luckily, senshi healed faster than normal humans. It was a perk; Eve could not stand sitting around doing nothing all day. It was boring, it had been boring, and now it was over.
She laughed at Charys' antics; it was so typical of Charys to do something like that to Rea. Cue Rea's blush, and Eve felt as though everything would be okay, the situation being as familiar as it was.
"Hey." She said as brightly as she could to the newcomer. "I'm Eve. And oh, come on, Charys," she broke in, "you were kinda the one who ruined my life too." She said this jokingly, hoping Rea wouldn't take this too seriously. It wasn't really her fault that she had gotten beaten up so badly, and she was only attempting to help lighten the mood a little.
Although she also did think that the meeting should be taken seriously.

She guessed it was now her turn to enter- Not normally being one for being late.. today was the one convenient day that the public transit decided to blow a tire. Now that her plans for arriving first were foiled- she not only was a little tired looking but she had a pissed off feline inside of her oversize tote bag.
A cat whom has been stuck hiding inside of the 'smelling old bag' for a good hour or two because she did not want to let the people on the bus see her. She didnt think cats were allowed onto the bus... even if she paid for a ticket for Chloe.
Entering into the designated meeting area she huffed- her bag falling off her shoulder slightly. Having run the final stretch to get here as fast as possible left her out of breath. She took a few moments to catch her breath before hoisting the bag up to its place on her shoulder. She needed to talk to Chloe about losing some weight man...
All she really knew about this meeting was that they would be in civilian form, they chose a diner somewhere in ******** no where to meet, and that Chloe seemed to have plans.
"Hey everyone." She grinned- placing the overly heavy bag on the table and scooting in the sit next to Ume. She was after all... the only civilian form scout she knew of? The others she didn't know. "I'm Elizabeth- but please call me Beth. Its nice to meet you all!" She gave her best smile all around.
"And the furball in here- is Chloe." This now she whispered- a few people might be around in the diner... she didn't want them to know that she brought a feline with them. She indicated towards the bag.
As if to state a point- Chloe tipped the back over onto the table to where the opening was facing only the senshi. Flipping open the top she peered out at everyone. Inside the bag was a fairly dainty framed Siamese cat with the deep blue star on her forehead. She looked over the team with a careful eye. "We're missing one."

Rea gave Charys a comically flat look, turning her attention back to Ume. "Apparently not the coffee," She repeated, relaxing again. The hand on her shoulder did wonders -- the strawberry blonde girl gave her roommate a slightly sad smile, relieved she was ok. Eve was one of the only people who had ever really bothered to spend time with her. Her and Charys. Which, frankly, she still didn't understand completely.
Resting her cheek on her fist, she quirked an eyebrow at the bluenette, tsking. "If you don't like it, why do you keep stealing mine?" she murmured, not really minding in the least. Instead, she let the two banter about who ruined who's life, listening quietly and enjoying what felt more like a social call between friends than a meeting.
Beth's introduction did not catch the girl by surprise -- by now she was starting to see the pattern of girls coming into the diner. (Apparently, so did the waitress; she seemed a little bewildered by the sudden influx of girls so late at night.) Although she wasn't sure, if she looked at her and squinted her eyes a bit, the redheaded girl reminded her of Sailor Lyra, whom she had met in a rather unfortunate incident not long ago. Of course, considering she knew she had to be a scout (scout meeting, duh), she assumed they were the same. Chloe's introduction, however, did pique some interest, blue-green eyes focusing curiously on that blue star.
So there were more guardians than just Astraea...
Bringing her attention back on the newcomer, Rea scooted over to make more room. It was getting rather crowded in the booth -- at least Chloe didn't take up a seat. "One more?" Rea gave Lyra... no, Beth... a quizzical look, obviously bewildered. Who was the last one?

"It's not Charlie," said Charys. "Chaz said his team consisted of three people: Charlie, Charlie and Charlie, so it's best to leave him to his whack-a** lone wolf devices, I told him that that was a cray one-man party." Charlie -- Thuban; the brown-eyed girl had mentioned him before. She was still stealing mass portions of Rea's coffee as the waitress came over, which prompted most of them to order hot chocolates after she pronounced the coffee as 'witch sludge'. The waitress gave her an annoyed look, then bustled off.
"If you're talking about a special cat friend whose name begins with A and ends with A," she said, "I don't know if she'll show up, so that reduces the b***h factor by like 40%. So. Chloe, Beth, how's it hangin'."
It was probably more senshi than had ever on-purpose gathered together for the purpose of... anything, really.

"I have just as much clue as you do-" Nodding back at the strawberry blond girl across the table. She truely didnt know... all she was told is to be somewhere at a specific time and not to be late. (both of which happened)
Beth was taken aback a bit by the harsh words of Charys- causing her face to flush even more from embarrassment. The way she talked seem so familiar- but you know with all this sailor moon magic going around it was impossible to tell the civi from the scout/negaverser normally.
"Sh-shes not really a b***h if you want to be technical... shes feline." A innocent comment from a innocent personality... poor Beth. "No, 'double A add another S to make "a**traea"- isnt who i was expecting..." Her grumpiness was showing. She didnt really care if Astraea was around to hear the insults- if she was here she'd probably fire one right back at her anyways.
Chloe settled herself down into the bag a little more. The "stinky" bag was finally ventilated enough to were she could mildly breath. "Nemesis." Was the one word she said- if anyone had met sailor nemesis they would know of who she spoke of.

The new arrival prompted another smile from Eve as she greeted the redhead, though she was more interested in the bag; what Beth had called the furball. And therein lay another surprise. Apparently, there were other cats that could talk; guardian cats, she reminded herself, besides Astraea. She nodded towards Chloe rather respectfully, eyes darting around the diner. There was one more? Well, she was late. Eve didn't see any other teenage girls around here...though there were boys that could be senshi too. Like Elzo.
Eve almost snorted at Charys declaration of witch sludge right in front of the waitress, though she held it back and gave the waitress an innocent smile as she placed her order. "So uh," She said. "What can you guys do? Just wondering. I'm apparently Spring incarnate."
