[[ Edit(November 29th) Since Gaia is being a retard and the posts of this Rp have been screwed up, this(Which will more the likely be at the bottom) Is the first post to this thread. >.>;;;Edit(December 1st) Seems Gaia has righted itself, after a few days of wackiness. ]] Oceana had stayed a day or two upon the sandy shoal with the strange dark colored mare. But she had to be off, while it was nice to have someone to talk to, Oceana wanted to see more of the watery world. Bidding a fond farewell to Justice, she plunged back into the water. By now the storms had moved on and the seas were calmer, more easy going. It seemed like forever that she was swimming, ducking under now and again to snatch up a small fish or two now and again. Not quite what she was used to, but something to eat none the less. She had found a few other shoals that were safe to stay on to rest during the night, but everything was starting to look the same. Nothing, but water as far as the eye could see. Was this ALL that was out here?
No, she couldn't believe that her mother was right, that there was very little life around these parts, but it was looking a little discouraging. What was she going to tell her sister? That she had failed? Saddened and disheartened as a thick fog had started to roll in, obstructing her view while she pulled herself up onto what looked to her like another sandy shoal, but this one had more sand then the rest she had found. Too tired to really get a good look around, Oceana curled up on the soft sand, well away from the lapping tide. Head laying on the sand, clumps of it clinging to her body like an itchy blanket, she slept, dreaming of home.
"Oceana! Come one!" it was her sister's voice, "Come on lets go!" But she hadn't known where they were going to go. Oceana had always just followed her sister, for the thrill of the adventure, to get away from their mother whom was always criticizing her against her sister. Scuffing in her sleep, a bit of sand getting into her nose, she sneezed, but didn't wake. The dreams went on, unending.

Bast found herself drawn towards the ocean and beyond in her shadow walk. Part of learning meant knowing the world around you. She had taken a chance when she flew out above the vast and endless ocean, but her spirit guides told her not to worry that their was life beyond the water. It was night time when she finally found a small island with a large sand bar extending from it. She landed upon the sandbar glad to finally be on her feet. It had been a very long flight, the longest she had ever made. She was exhausted and looked around and sensed nothing dangerous around. She laid down and covered herself with her black wings. She sang a small song praising her spirits and gods for bringing her to the island.
~She than drifted into sleep as a fog rolled over her body. As she slept she saw a kirin mare the color of the sea struggling and fighting the tempestuous waves of the dark sea. Her eyes determined but sad. She felt cold and alone and unsure of what was ahead. Black smoke whisked down on the mare like little stabbing knives. A gold light started to faintly glow in the distance...growing brighter and brighter.~
Bast woke to find the sun shining down on her warming her nicely. She stretched her wings and than curled to enjoy the warmth.

[[*Jabs Gaia to stop being retarted*]]
Her ears twitched a little as she thought she had heard something within her sleep, but didn't really register what it could have been. Probably something from her dream perhaps, Oceana didn't bother opening her eyes until she felt the warm sun on her face and shoulders. She shivered as the morning dew left by the retreating sea fog started to dry on her skin and scales. Brr, that was cold! Lids fluttering open, Oceana let a long wide yawn escape her muzzle before shaking the loose sand from her chin. Where was she now? Still sleepy eyes looked around where she laid, sea on one side and lush greenery one the other. Wow, this was different then her mother had described to her when she was little.
Rolling onto her limber legs, she shook completely this time, throwing sand and whatever there was clinging to her side everywhere. Blowing a lock of white and cyan colored mane from her face and back behind an ear, she turned towards the trees. This was really different! But still, she had to be safe. There was no telling just what kind of creatures there were out here, pacing in her small space a moment, the sea colored mare took to walking the beach. Oceana wanted to get a good look at the place that she was to explore. With the sun shinning down upon her many hued scales, she walked.
Coming around the beach, she kept a good eye on what was round her, noting the gentle lapping of the waves and the soft yet warm air that was making the branches and grass bend and flicker. It seemed so peaceful here, something that reminded her much of her secret spot back home. Home.. That was the one place she didn't much like to think about, besides wanting very much to have lots to tell her sister. Stopping a moment, Oceana scanned the white sand that lead from the greenery to the sea, something stuck out. Something black upon the sand, pawing at the soft sand beneath her hooves, she wondered if it was someone that lived on the island. If it were, oh dear, she didn't know the first thing to say, surely she would just make a complete fool of herself... Blushing to herself, Oceana stood stock still staring at the black creature laying upon the warm white sand of the beach.

Bast heard soft footsteps on the sand and lifted her head. A little ways away stood the mare she had seen in her dreams. How interesting she thought to herself. I would have never expected to meet another kirin out here. She must have braved the tides, she was a strong one.
Without getting up and with an expecting calmness in her voice she greeted the mare, "Hello water soul, I am Bast a visitor here like you I presume. Have you come far?"
She waited calmly for a reply checking the mare over, she was a beautifully colored mare that looked more like she belonged in the ocean than on land. It seemed a bit strange to her that she would not be in a herd looking forward to soon be starting her own family. But some have different paths in life, so she did not wonder too much about it.

Oceana's head tilted a little as she watched the dark colored kirin shift and look at her, but never get up off the ground. ears pivoting forwards, she listened as it called her 'water soul'? Forcing herself to move closer to this stranger that called herself Bast, Oceana looked down at her oddly. "Water Soul?" she questioned with a curious air, "My name's Oceana, daughter of a sea loving mare." Though she left out that her mother greatly despised her... That wasn't needing to be said.
Though it saddened her that this mare wasn't of this island, pity, she was really hoping that someone lived here. Looking back towards the trees that lead to the center of the island, she frowned, ears falling back a little, white and cyan tail swaying just a little behind her. Turning away from Bast, she headed towards the trees, wanting to explore the place, before choosing to either turn back or continue onto the next island for hopes of more life. Stopping a moment, Oceana looked back towards the winged mare that laid on the warm sand. "Do you think that there might be someone living on this island? Mother always claimed that they were void of life." She wanted to prove her dam that she was wrong on many levels.

"Hello Oceana, such a suiting name for one carried in by the ocean. You are from a family of water souls. From my herd we tend to associate certain elements with one's spirit. I guess it may not be typical for most herds."
Bast got up, stretched, and followed the mare. Curious as to what she meant by someone living. There were all kinds of living things on the island just like anywhere.
"I have never been anywhere devoid of life. Life is everywhere, birds, fish, crabs, bugs, all types of life everywhere you turn. Even the grass and trees are alive."
Bast moved over by the mare and kicked over a rock by her feet. Several little bugs scurried away as fast as they could and a worm like creature tried to bury itself deeper into the sand.

"I don't know if ALL my family are from the water, but my mother and sister are." She admitted somewhat scuffing at the sand as she watched the greenery more then the black colored mare. "And... I don't exactly have a 'herd'. I was never accepted into my family as good as my sister was." Ears flicked back a little as she leaped to one side as a small bug crawled up her leg. When she moved it fell back to the ground to scurry off somewhere else.
"That is not exactly what I mean." Oceana frowned, now looking towards Bast. "I know there's that kind of life around here. But I mean.." What exactly did she mean, she didn't want to explain her whole purpose she was out here. To prove her mother wrong, to see the world and then go back to her sister to bring her along. It was times like this she did really miss her sister, Nesaea. Shaking the thoughts from her head, Oceana looked back to Bast. "I wonder if anything like you or I live here, if not. I will be moving on to another spit of land that lays away from here. Have to take something back home to someone close to me." She left it at that, this one didn't need to know anything else.
Prancing somewhat forwards she stepped through the fringes of the trees before her. Eyes blinking a little to adjust to the dim light of the interior, Oceana was off again. Stopping a few paces in, she looked back to where she had left her new acquaintance. Did she want her to come? Would be nice to have a little company after leaving the equally dark colored Justice behind a few days ago. Still, the silence was a nice thing some times. Sighing, Oceana turned around a little, "You coming?" she asked white and cyan tail flicking a little behind her as she waited.
