i use blood to tank and for dps. you can check my armory for my spec if you need to.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Stormscale&cn=Axethor&gn=Possibly+Canadian
and before i get yelled at for gear or glyphs, i'm a newer 80 in a social guild for now. i dont have the money to buy glyphs or gems(dont even have epic flying) and my only way to get gear is to join H PuGs and do the H daily(which i get pieriodically kicked from for above mentioned reasons.....some people and just assholes.)

Edit: I have to agree with Malachai, that spec is horrible. you dont want to put all your talent points in one tree. it be very, very bad. definately use my spec unless you find a better one.

My DK spec for DPS is Blood/Unholy.. Blood enough for Heart Strike and Unholy enough for a perma Ghoul.
I've wasted a few of my points 'cause I wanted a fast mount (On A Pale Horse) and because it's fun to blow up things (Corpse Explosion) but overall I can pull a decent DPS number.

As to your spec..
Keep Butchery and Subversion, get the points out of Blade Barrier.
Keep Scent of Blood and Two Hand Mastery, get the points out of Bladed Armor.
Keep Rune Tap, Dark Conviction and Death Rune Mastery.
Keep Imp Rune Tap and Vendetta, get the points out of Spell Deflection.
Fill Bloody Strikes, keep Veteran of the Third War and Mark of Blood.
Keep Bloody Vengeance and fill Abomination's Might.
Keep Hysteria, fill Bloodworms and Imp Blood Presence.
Fill Imp Death Strike and Sudden Doom, keep Vampiric Blood.
Pick up Heart Strike, Fill Might of Mograine.
Get started on Blood Gorge.

Hey there.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Lightbringer&n=Lethallin&group=1

This is the typical blood raid spec. It has been tested by Elitist Jerks and other sites and proves to be the most effective. While leveling, get all of the blood talents and then just take the unholy talents as you level. Order in which you get them is not particularly important.

Your rotation should be as follows:

Frost Fever, Plague Strike (to get up your diseases), Death Strike (to activate Death Runes), Heart Strike, Heartstrike. Usually there's a few seconds in between the use of both your Blood Runes and the activation of your first Death Rune. Use Death Coil during this time if you have the runic power to spare. As your two Death Runes activate, Heart Strike, Heartstrike. The Frost Rune and Unholy Rune you used to put up your diseases should be up by now. Death Strike to turn them both into Death Runes, then Heart Strike, Heart Strike, etc. Use Pestilence when needed to refresh your diseases.

The important things with a Blood DK's rotation include keeping up your diseases without having to use Death Runes or restart your rotation, costing you Death Runes and valuable DPS time, to refresh them (Pestilence with Glyph of Disease is your best friend), use Heart Strike whenever you can if your diseases have enough time to make it to the next Death or Blood Rune cooldown, and keep your Death Runes up as often as you possibly can.

I hope you found this helpful. Good luck smile

Edit: PS. If ever there is a situation where you CANNOT under any circumstance hit two targets at once (the only example i can think of at the moment is Faction Champions because the stupid encounter counts Heart Strike as an AOE...), use Blood Strike instead.

When leveling, just stick both diseases on the target and Heart Strike them down, throw one of the other strikes in (I can't remember the name, but it heals you for x% and gives you Death Runes) to use up your spare frost and disease ruin and cruise your way to 80.
It's easy and in every instance I did up to 80 on my DK this basically kept me top of the DPS charts as long as I used Pestilence to spread the diseases to the other mobs (which you should basically always do, gives you a boost to your DPS!).
